Amenities were great and there was plenty for families to do. However, the grounds were very muddy, and safety rules seemed inconsistently enforced. My 12-year-old grandson was yelled at while driving our golf cart under 5 mph with adult supervision, yet younger kids on scooters appeared unrestricted. As a Black family, we were left questioning whether we were treated differently.

the only problem is you expect licensed drivers to obey the speed of 5 mph. but teenagers with e-bikes zoom all over the place almost hitting me and my granddaughter. This is why I gave four stars instead of five

The park is pretty nice overall but the grass is out of control…needs regular mowing desperately. Staff really need to get some campers under control, we must have seen 20 kids nearly get run over as they flew around on electric scooters all through the day and night, minors aren’t allowed to operate golf carts but can fly around 30 mph on a scooter. We brought our grandkids with us to Cherokee KOA and they had a blast! Lots to do, close to everything and the staff was great. We even added another day to our stay. We will definitely recommend this campground and plan to book it again in the future.

Definitely need bike lane for these kids before someone runs over them had 2 kids ride there electric scooters right out in front of my truck good thing I was only going 2 miles an hr AC sounds like a locomotive No WiFi at cabin that actually works Wasp nest under porch got stung on shoulder Deck on cabin porch has soft bad boards

Everything was great but the shower never settled on a temperature. I was either freezing or almost burning the little ones and myself No matter where temperature was set.it never was warm for 20 seconds then head completely the opposite temperature

I didn’t like that the store closed at 5. We put our trash out before 3 and it didn’t get picked up. The bathhouse were not clean.

I want to say that i enjoy saying at a koa but this day wasn't great.when I set up my stay this time I know I ask for air conditioning because I am a diabetic .so when I get the camp ground it was late so next morning I went to office talk to them about it problem they told me that they upgrade but we would have to be out by 11 and can't move in till 4..I know I ask for air conditioning.always do

It was nice, but the store needs to stay stocked on all of their fishing gear and some of the people that worked there need to learn to comply with the rules just like everyone else, especially once driving the golf carts got hit twice head on by the young girl with the nose piercing because she is driving way too fast

We had a great stay! The only negative was that our campsite was between multiple families there vacationing together, so all of their kids continuously ran/rode bikes through our campsite. We will definitely be back!

Excellent cabin location right next to the flowing river. Unfortunately, it rained so the roads were left with standing water due to poor run off. Major pot holes were obvious. I understand pavement isn’t cheap but I also don’t want to have to get a front end alignment after I go camping in an established campground. Lastly, it is time to update the older bath houses. Please update soon.

Got 2 cabins near the river as last minute getaway. We have stayed here multiple times always enjoy it. The cabins we had were apparently the whole KOAs fav spot to fish, ride bikes and walk there dogs. I’ve never seen so much traffic in front of a campsite. Def not the relaxing weekend we had hoped for. May want to add disclaimer to cabin description so guests know to expect 0 privacy.

We were on a buddy site and the puddles were terrible right at the entrance to our camper. I know the rain can't be helped but site needed some upkeep to prevent that from happening. The staff was all very friendly and helpful though and everyone was trying to make the best of the yucky weather.

Facilities were nice. Some of the activities need some attention, such as corn hole bags...etc. The only thing that I though was a pain was the crazy 9-5 office and store hours.

Everything was great but I noticed less activities hosted by the koa during the day then before. I remember there was tons of stuff offered before this trip for kid Also the grass was very high and messy throughout the campground. I understand there was alot of rain during our stay but it could have at least been weedeated down. I dont think I seen a weedeater or mower out the 5 nights we stayed.

Nice place, but a big negative for us was kids (and some adults) running around like crazy on electric scooters and e-bikes far in excess of the posted 5 mph speed limit. In my opinion, such vehicles should not be allowed at all in the campground.

We were happy with the amenities and staff. However, the cabin and other areas could be a little cleaner. Bathrooms had a urine smell, AC smelled moldy. Dish rack and grill were dirty. Overall enjoyed the experience and facility, but could be cleaner.

It is a beautiful campground. I checked in after hours so didn’t get to talk to anyone in the office. But I was very impressed with all the amenities.

Overall, it is a nice campground. The location close to Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Cherokee is great. The amenities at the campground are good, and the bathhouses are mostly new. The negatives are the many potholes on the roads through the campground, the lack of thorough cleaning in the bathrooms, and the awful tendency for KOA's to make campsites too tight and close together.

We had a nice stay. The cabin had been worked on but not finished and the lamps didn't work. I also would have liked a little more info on the amenities offered. The bath houses could have been a little cleaner.

We love the Cherokee KOA. We’ve stayed there for years and it has become one of favorites because it’s always clean and neat and fairly close to home. We live in upper South Carolina. One of the things we miss though, is the restaurant serving breakfast and the BBQ’s from the big smoker they used to have on the weekends. I would gladly give you a five star rating if you would bring that

Enjoyed the stay. We were in a deluxe cabin on the Raven Fork Creek. The cabin was well maintained and the AC worked great. Friendly staff. Just fyi to anyone reading this review-check in for cabins is 4pm. I was given an email stating this, but thought if I tried to check in early (3pm) they would accommodate me, but they held to 4 pm check in. Beautiful campground.

100% liked everything there ! Clean, quiet, and the best place to be camping with friends or family. We stayed in cabin 224, which we absolutely loved. Will come back soon in the fall.

The have some nice amenities, however, we got there and 2 and was told we had to wait ( and did ) til 4. However watched other people come in and check in and went to their cabin . We got to our cabin , table and chairs on the porch was dirty , floor under the table in the cabin dirty . The cabin smelled like dog , there were ants. My wife literally had to sweep and clean as soon as we got there.

I would give it a 5 rating except that there were two things that kept it from being a 5. 1. Other campers continued to walk through our camp site, even when asked not to do so. And 2. The cleanliness of the showers and bathrooms. They were not horrible but had spider webs even after being cleaned. The ceilings in the showers should be a plastic material so it can be sprayed with water.

We had a great time. Only wish there was power and water outside our cabin so we didn’t have to run extension cord from someone else’s site to charge the golf cart and go to someone else’s site for water.

Campground is in a beautiful area. The grounds itself were quite unkept. The grass was very high, the pool was murky with lots of debris. Store closed at 5p everyday and due to location a lot of people attempted to utilize the store for ice cream and other things after 5p but it was always closed. Staff were friendly.

Really enjoy the quiet setting. Close to town for shopping and groceries. Tons of things for kids to do. Convenience store open 9-5 if needed

This place is great our cabin was clean and neat.(except for the stink bugs) Plenty of places to fish if you want to Always someone doing something to keep the camp ground clean
