The staff were great, had the heat turned on in my cabin and offered to bring heaters if I needed. Could not ask for better place to stay , very clean.

Me and my wife drive up for a Snow weekend quick trip! Snowed about 3 inches over night the first night we were there! Had a blast! Can’t wait to go back!

We have a group that stays every November and it has always been a great experience dealing with the Cherokee KOA staff. The accommodations are also top notch.

No problems, with staff of the place itself. It was a little disappointing that the indoor pool was closed during our stay it was in the winter months so understandable. Please keep in mind if you will be using the public showers they are very moldy the bathroom is self no issues very clean it is just the shower's that have a lot of mold. Just something to keep in mind. I was VERY aware.

It’s a shame the pool and hot tub were not working. That’s one of the reasons we were headed up there this time of year. Wish they would have cut the rate because it wasn’t working. But I understand. Great place to stay. This was our 4th year with 3 other campers to spend the New Year. Will be book again next year.

Staff was very friendly, the cabin we stayed in which was the nicer and more expensive one was absolutely filthy, we had to leave in the middle of the night on our second night because i was getting ate up with something while in cabin, at 2am i had welts/hives, we even brought our own bed linen so it wasnt that. Bug in fridge, pee and pubic hair in bathroom, toothpaste spit on wall and sink

We rented a cabin for 5 nights. First night there I took a shower and the water turned cold a few minutes into the shower. We called the front desk in the morning and asked to be switched. Initially we were told we could and that there were plenty of open cabins period that changed within on hour I called an hour later, as we were out exploring. Love the place…….The hard fast rule of 4 pm check-in is ridiculous !!! If the cabin is available at 3 let the guests in like every other place on earth……

Towel rods missing in the bathroom, no hooks to hang things on in the bedroom, Holes in the flooring in the den. very small TV screen, microwave broken, instead of reparing/replacing it, they just put tiny one on shelve that wouldn’t hold stuff. Cracks in drawers of refrigerator, etc. heat didn’t work well,

We stayed in the 2 room deluxe cabin. It was cute, clean and comfy. The campground itself was not over crowded and the grounds are well maintained. The only con was that the indoor pool was closed but it needed repairs so can't really complain. Will definitely stay here again, maybe an RV site next time.

Site 250 at Cherokee KOA was even better than the pictures! Unfortunately the heater in our cabin couldn’t keep up with the cold, and we froze the first night before they brought us a plug in heater. Speaking of freezing, the heater for the pool and hot tub was broken which was a huge disappointment. The showers were not cleaned at all Tuesday-Friday. Gross! The front office staff was amazing!

Beautiful location. Can’t get any closer to nature and the best trout fishing. However, there needs to be more emphasis on cleaning. Our group rented camp sites and cabins. The cabins were not clean. Sheets changed, linens fresh-yes. The amount of hair, dust and filth inside (front door and windows) was gross. We noticed during our 7 day stay/ 20 min’s per unit unsatisfactory. More staff!!

This was the best koa we have stayed at. Super nice. Lots to do. Staff was superb. Cabin was on the river. Very peaceful.

We'll be back! The kids loved the jumping thing. It was a beautiful place to walkaround, and close to everything. The cabin was well kept and the bathrooms clean. Very enjoyable.

Check in was a breeze, they offer an escort to your site if needed. The campground was very clean and well maintained. We will definitely be staying here again.

Rented a cabin online, did not get the same cabin when we arrived after driving 10 hrs. False advertising! Cabin was filthy, tub had black line around it. Dog fur everywhere! Dishes put away with food on them! Pool and jacuzzi broke, lake dry, river nonexistent! Used to love this KOA, must have new owners that don’t care! Whoever cleans the cabins need some help obviously or don’t care either!

Clean campground. But one again indoor pool and hot tub was closed due to no heat. Also pond closed due to they say dredging but look like that has been done for some time had grass growing in ponds. This is not KOA fault but when you come to fish it’s very disappointing .For the price per night nothing to offer except clean campground.

This was our first time at a KOA and it was amazing. So much to do and it's the perfect place for families with all ages of kids. We cannot wait to bring the kiddos back. Even though its so large and there were so many families it was still very quiet. They also have sites that include a fenced in area for your pet. We love this place and will be back as often as we can!!!

I stayed in K319 for a quick fishing trip but had an unfortunate experience with this cabin. At about 11:30 pm I lost power. I called the after hours line and it did not take long before someone came out to check on my issue. Unfortunately, they were not able to fix the problem. So, at after about an hour I was moved to another cabin. It was not the greatest experience, but it all worked out.

The cabin that we stayed at was amazing the view of the river was fantastic the amenities in the cabin were great the bed was comfortable the cabin was very clean and very warm this is a 10 plus out of 10 we were extremely happy with our stay and we can't wait to come back cabin 504 our special spot

This was the PERFECT Smoky Mtn getaway! Being on the south side of the park meant needing to drive back thru for most things, but it was so worth it to be in a quiet town and a fun campground. The amenities were awesome and our cabin was great. The only (very minor) bummer was the hours for the office. 9-5 meant we never made it up there since we got out early and got in after that every day we were there.

This is my favorite camping spot when we go to Cherokee and the Smokey mountain area! It's a little further north from the main town part of Cherokee but it's nice and peaceful! Theres a river around the campground and it's nice to go and explore! The rv spots are nice and spacious with most having a small lawn area with room for chairs and such! There's also a few extra things like a small playground, bounce pillow, and a pool! Unfortunately last time when I went the pool was down for maintenance but it was definitely cold enough to not want to swim anyway! The koa is in nice distance of the Smokey mountains and a few other waterfalls!

Been coming to this location since I was a kid. Changed a lot but for the better and love it. Definitely will be coming back and bring friends to enjoy the experience. **make sure the cabin cleaners make sure everything is clean. Animal hair all in the pulpit couch sheets, windows dirty** cabin 228**
