One of the best campgrounds my wife and I have stayed at. I did need to use the camps showers one time, most times I use the RV shower, and did notice they need some work which surprised me seeing how the camp is very well groomed. While I'm at it, the fire pit at our site is rusting out and should be replaced with the stone ones at other sites. Super friendly staff and dream location.

Enjoy the campground, very peaceful. The only complaint that I have is that the bed in the cabin was broken so when we slept the bed dipped in and made our backs hurt.

My favorite campground to stay at, it's clean, friendly staff, lots of things for kids to do,and pet friendly with a nice dog park!! Can't wait for our next adventure there!!

My kids love the campground and always have a good time. There are 2 reasons I did 4 stars instead of 5. The pool was dirty. I realize it was crowded but it definitely looked like it need to be cleaned out thoroughly. The cabin we stayed in was nice but the kitchen was not well stocked. There were only 3 forks, 3 spoons and no frying pan. Other than that, it was a great trip!

The reason for my 3 star review is that the camp ground has virtually no privacy between tent sites. We were given a site with no tent pad which was directly next to another site with a tent pad. It seemed they stuck a number in this area to create another site but it was not big enough for two parties. Seemed like a way to maximize profits instead of the enjoyment of the campers.

We enjoyed the campground and spent a lot of time in the pool and fishing in the ponds. Our daughter loved the movie night, tye-dye an ceramics, and the glow party. Thanks for a great weekend camping getaway!

We enjoyed our stay! Will be back as soon as possible. The only suggestion I have is the fish cleaning station could use some updating and cleaned up some.

From the property to the grounds and people, this KOA is as good as it gets. Kids from 4 to 16 have a blast, as do the parents. Our deluxe cabin was clean and spacious, with AC and functional kitchen. The grill was in perfect order. Tube the river, catch some fish, make a fire, and enjoy Southern Appalachia.

This is our fourth stay at Cherokee KOA. Site 292 is awkwardly facing the site next to it (set up is so awnings face each other) and was so small - really affected our experience. The pool was cloudy and dirty. The Glow Party was awesome and my kids had a great time.

We loved KOA campground! The only problem we had was there was a lot of trash and pills under the bed (not sure what kind), and the beds were not clean/wiped off when we got there. Other than that’s our stay was wonderful.

You have no cable TV connection, no indoor pool, the outdoor pool was closed one of the mornings and very dirty the other days. Other than that it was a great week.

best campground !!! Nice big spacious sites and all paved roads. Lots for the grandkids to do all day. The trout fishing was a blast even for the 6 yo girl. very clean and neat and well maintained. thanks

Great place to camp with a grandchild. He enjoyed the museum and the Indian village in Cherokee. Also so close to Mingo Falls, long staircase but a short hike.

Bathhouses were disgusting! Always out of toilet paper, stunk of urine. Feces on floor and sink on one trip to the bathhouse! Left one day early

It was great! Did not understand why we couldn’t get a golf cart until 3 o’clock when I feel like they should be ready when you purchase but it was great and we had a blast!

All employees were very nice. There was electrical problems with the cabin that we were suppose to stay in so they upgraded us to a cabin with a bathroom. We loved it and we are already talking about when we can come back in the fall.

I texted the number listed twice for wood. No wood was delivered. The bathrooms were very dirty, to a disgusting level with human feces, hair balls and bugs. In a positive note: the pool area and gift shop were nice.

We have been RVing 49 yrs, have been in KOA’s around the country, coast to coast. This was one of the nicest, best equipped we have seen. Great for families and fishermen, or just a walk and relaxing, quiet. We will return…….G&K

We thoroughly enjoy staying in a deluxe cabin at your campground! It’s a very safe feeling atmosphere and kid/family friendly. I have been coming to Cherokee KOA for over 30 years now and still love it!

Our cabin was in a very nice area near the little creek flowing into ponds. It was clean and as described when booked online. Restrooms and showers were also kept clean during our stay.

Overall stay was wonderful, friendly staff. The cabin crew need to clean a little better especially when previous travelers had pets. The pull out couch had pet hair all in the mattress/sheets. Windows was super dirty as well. Other than that the overall stay was wonderful.

This was the PERFECT Smoky Mtn getaway! Being on the south side of the park meant needing to drive back thru for most things, but it was so worth it to be in a quiet town and a fun campground. The amenities were awesome and our cabin was great. The only (very minor) bummer was the hours for the office. 9-5 meant we never made it up there since we got out early and got in after that every day we were there.

This is my favorite camping spot when we go to Cherokee and the Smokey mountain area! It's a little further north from the main town part of Cherokee but it's nice and peaceful! Theres a river around the campground and it's nice to go and explore! The rv spots are nice and spacious with most having a small lawn area with room for chairs and such! There's also a few extra things like a small playground, bounce pillow, and a pool! Unfortunately last time when I went the pool was down for maintenance but it was definitely cold enough to not want to swim anyway! The koa is in nice distance of the Smokey mountains and a few other waterfalls!

Been coming to this location since I was a kid. Changed a lot but for the better and love it. Definitely will be coming back and bring friends to enjoy the experience. **make sure the cabin cleaners make sure everything is clean. Animal hair all in the pulpit couch sheets, windows dirty** cabin 228**
