This is our 4th time staying at the Boone KOA… it is our personal choice to stay here each summer when we come to Boone for the Grandfather Mountain Scottish Highland Games. The location, amenities, and staff are always amazing! Thank you for another wonderful trip!

The rv spaces were small & extremely unlevel. So small, it was very difficult to park our vehicle on the same space.

Everyone is very nice. And we have stayed here multiple times. This campground could use a bit of updating. The sites are a bit out of level and the bathrooms while clean were a bit outdated.

Another wonderful stay with our grandkids at Boone KOA. Enjoyed the cooler, weather and relaxing in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Thanks to the team at Boone KOA for always making us feel so welcome.

It was a great place to stay! It was very clean, everything worked as it should, it was safe for the kids as they made new friends. We will definitely be going back.

The park is in a beautiful area. The only problem that we experienced was parking. We tow a VW Beatle and had a hard time parking without being on the grass. A lot of people these days drive or pull their campers with big trucks and they take up a lot of space. We had to ask our neighbor to move his truck yesterday, as we could not pull out of our space. We had a wonderful time exploring this area

We really enjoyed our stay! It's so nice to see families slow down and enjoy time together. From feeding the animals, arts and crafts, card games, children playing (the way we used to as kids), swimming pool, and campfires, the list could go on. It's a friendly campground that will take you back to a different time when things were normal. We'll definitely be back!

Location was great, amenities were great, staff was friendly and helpful until it came time to complain about barking dogs! Was handled poorly and rules are NOT enforced! We will not come back!

We enjoyed our stay at the KOA in Boone. We will probably stay there again in the future. My only issue is the dog policy. The site beside ours, the owners had two large dogs that they keep chained up to a tree that both sites shared. The dogs barked constantly keeping us up all night. The next morning, the dogs had pooed all over our electrical cords and water hoses.

We had a good trip, close to the sites in the area. Peaceful camp. Does need the concrete resurfaced around the pool, got some foot and knee scuffs.

There were around 100 people that suddenly appeared on Saturday for what turned out to be the Swift family reunion. The campground was already pretty full before this. The thing is, as paying campers, us and other campers couldn’t use the amenities we paid for because members of this noisy reunion who didn’t pay to be there were crowding the pool, playground, and everything else.

This was our 2nd stay at Boone KOA. Everyone is so friendly and we love the location. We are planning on making it our annual Anniversary/4th of July camping trip.

The lots were nice size. Staff was nice. Pool was clean and refreshing. Dog owners prior to the 4th were awesome!! Those arriving on the 4th why do YOU feel YOU don’t have to pick up after YOUR dog?? But this seems to be a common problem! Thanks for maintaining the roads during the rain storm!!

Though there were a lot of people there for holiday, it was quiet. Love the goats and things for kids to do. Nice cabins and very good restrooms and showers. Staff were very accommodating to me! Will stay again!

Nice facilities, terrific staff, beautiful location. The owner is very personable, warm, & adds so much to the pleasant atmosphere of KOA camping in the mountain setting. We have been coming there for many years, & really like the setting & overall experience there consistently.

First KOA experience. Really friendly staff and clean amenities. I wish the lots were a bit more spaced out but really liked the natural shade provided by the mature trees. Great location on the mountain too.

Nice KOA grounds and bath facilities. Pool was cold and kids enjoyed swimming. The goats were great fun and kids playground had slide, swings, and other fun activities. Enjoyed cool nights and sunny days.

We loved our week at the Boone KOA. A very well maintained rv park, good level and shaded park spots. Clean bath house and laundry area. Due to terrains, mountains etc satellite tv reception was spotty, no cable option. We travel with 2 dogs and really liked the open grass areas around park as well as a small fenced dog run.

only issue we had was so many folks were building campfires that didn't know how. the somke was horrible some days. other than that a wonderful stay! will come again. great friendly staff! James & Sandye

We had a great Experience. A bit of a challenge getting back to the Blue Ridge Parkway but had nothing to do with this awesome campground.

Good stay overall. Was a little disappointed in the size of the pool. Had a little bit of trouble pulling the RV out of the spot we stayed in with the tight turn and big tree. Noticed some dogs in the cabin area the first night we arrived not on a leash. It seems that campgrounds often have rules but they are not enforced.

Thank you for your kind hosting us. Ladies and gentlemen were nice and took care of things. Well run. Mainly permanent party here and we had a great walk up the hill. I used the pool as the weather was perfect 7/15/26 however raining earlier in the week. I believe only open in spring and summer so just check. Boone main St area close by however parking downtown very difficult.

We had a good spot starlink didn't work to good cause we were under trees but the wifi from the campground was pretty good pet friendly swimming pool there were alot of people staying there
