The grounds were accommodating to both children, adults and pets. Bath house and facilities were kept very clean. The large pet walk area was a nice addition and we loved the pet "play yard" so our dog could go off leash for a bit. The huge trailers and motor homes were a surprise as to how they fit into the small areas. The noise from them was a bit disturbing. Thanks!

We love it here! Great staff, beautiful sites with huge trees, cool, well run and kept! Near Boone where one can get what’s needed. Hikes, rivers, Blue Ridge Parkway all close by.

I'm rating you high but the sites are too close for burning wood/camp fires. Our neighbor had a campfire going the last 3 evenings and filled pur camper with smoke. In the middle of the night our carbon monoxide alarm went off 2 nights in a row - it was awful. My daughter's complained of the smoke. Totally ruined it for us. But we love the location and the people running your place.

WOULD BE VERY NICE TO HAVE GIFT ITEMS TO PURCHASE THAT DIDN'T HAVE THE KOA Logo on the gifts. I understand having a couple items, but didn't buy any clothing due to this and or other items. stay was very nice and LOVED the animals on property! HAVE MORE ANIMALS! kids would love it! thanks!

Nice quiet and clean campground. Beautiful location and reasonable rates. We enjoyed the entertainment on Saturday night. Other than a little rain our stay in Boone was perfect.

Sites are too small and unlevel. Won’t be going back. Pull thru site too small to allow my truck to stay hooked up to my travel trailer. Forced to unhook then park sideways otherwise would be blocking road. Never could get level.

Our stay was uneventful but adequate for our purpose of visiting Boone and the surrounding area for a few days. The campground is on the side of a hill and closely packed with smallish sites. Sites are not level nor long enough for today’s standards. Roads and sites are gravel . Sites are rounded at both ends of pull through sites making them shorter in practicality. Management was nice.

Camp sites were really close together. Not much room to move around outside of camper. Lots of dog barking. However , wouldn’t keep us from returning.

Had a very comfortable stay at the tent site. Well maintained facilities including laundry, nice grassy sites. Quiet location and friendly staff at check-in.

Very nice, quiet area in the mountains - close to all things Boone, yet away from any highways, city lights and noise. Updating of the (one) bathhouse at the office and expanding the separate toilet building to include showers would increase my rating. Also, the lower sites are closer together, tighter to navigate, and not as level as the upper sites closer to the office. Reserve accordingly.

Sites extremely close.Can't park your vehicle at site.Booked online extremely disappointed.Left a day early and just lost a day rental Office personnel must have been having a bad day.Overheard her on phone complaining about having to work till 7 day before.Unhappy workers equals unhappy campers.Day of rent should be refunded . Won't be back.

WE STAYED AT THE BOONE KOA FOR AOUT A MONTH. DURING THAT TIME THE CAMPGROUND FACILITIES WERE IMPECABLY WELL KEPT; THE STAFF WERE EXTREMELY ATTENTIVE AND FRIENDLY; THE GROUNDS WERE IMMACULATE. I WILL MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS KOA TO ANYONE TRAVELING TO THE BOONE AREA WITH AN RV.

Great for bike rides straight out of campground. Good location from Boone. 10 minutes. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

The ground was a lot harder than I expected, and I eventually sleep in my car, but that’s more of my poor planning than anything that could be done. All the facilities were well-maintained and clean. The location was very pretty and any staff I had interactions with, they were all respectful , and made sure I knew where I was going and what I needed to do to have a good camp out.

We had a wonderful time ... the staff was very friendly, the restroom/showers were clean ... the store had everything we needed and the prices were good ... the kids had plenty to do ... they loved the pool table and putt putt ... I needed the laundry room which was clean and it didn't cost an arm and leg to wash and dry my clothes. We really enjoyed being there and will definitely return.

This KOA was fabulous. Lots of trees for shade. Enjoyed the pool, bathhouses, playgrounds. Highly recommend it to everyone. I will return when in the Boone area.

Very nice campground near Boone, NC. Nice, polite staff, shady spots, pool, putt putt and clean nice shower/bathroom facilities. My only complaint was the small dogs that the owners couldn’t keep quiet. There were many dogs in the campground and most were well behaved. And I’m a dog person, have my own, just wasn’t with us.

The staff are super helpful and nice. Most sites are at least a bit shaded but everyone found a way to connect to their satellites. Wifi is fine, not great. Showers and baths are clean with good water pressure even though they are a bit dated. On site putt putt is designed for little ones but made me feel very accomplished. LOL. Grounds are nice and attended to frequently. Lots to do within driving distance.

After many years of camping up at the Boone KOA, it still is the best, most relaxing and enjoyable place to camp. You won't be disappointed. Simple but has everything you need. Quiet, peaceful, a few donkeys and even a cow or two in the distance. Just a great place.
