The sites are very tight and parking a large pickup and fifth wheel on a site is very difficult. A fifth wheel trailer actually hit my truck when they were pulling into their site. It busted my tail light which cost me $1100.00. I If the site had been larger I could have parked my truck further off the road. On the positive side the host was very nice and the campground is well taken care of.

Some of the sites are pretty tight but doable. Quiet and shady. Exactly what we were looking for. Good to get out of the hot lowlands. If we didn't have plans, we would have stayed longer.

We loved our time at the Boone KOA! It was a beautiful campground. The sites were spacious, and the property was clean and well kept. The mini-farm and mini-golf were unexpected bonuses. We were thrilled and will be back for sure!!

We stay here once per year. The staff is exceedingly friendly, even when I asked to move sites. During the summer, when we go they also do a music on the lawn series. We have heard bluegrass, big band, patriotic music and it is just a great evening. Worth the visit in itself. One note. If you plan to cook on the fire, bring a grill or something, since their firepits do not supply a grill.

Nice small camp ground we were in. 20 foot pop up and the spaces were tight I had to park on road edge some other campers were parking in empty spaces, putt putt needs repair pool was ok, if you’re not traveling out of camp ground to other attractions this is probably not the place for you . I would stay again but will look at other places .

Staff was friendly and helpful. We asked to change sites to be closer to our family and they we very accommodating. Camped here several times. Campground is only minutes from downtown.

It was ok at best. Vehicle wouldn't start when we were leaving, was told by office staff they didn't know where the jump box was when we asked for assistance. No other help offered or provided. Pool is very small. Restrooms were dirty at most times. Animals for petting are a few donkeys and goats, nothing more. Vehicles constantly in and out, and the live music was terrible unless your over 80.

We tent camped from Monday until Sunday . Had a wonderful time. . KOA staff goes above and beyond to insure every camper has a wonderful time. Other campers were extremely kind and considerate to each other. I would highly recommend this KOA to anyone looking for a restful vacation spot . They have a relaxing swimming pool very clean, Putt-Putt, playground , game room ,goats ,donkeys. Go enjoy

The campground was quiet and bathing and toilet facilities were very clean. Site was realitivly level and clean with picnic table and fire ring. Staff were polite and helpful. Although we didn't use the pool the water was very clean. Did not use putt putt. Locality to Boone and Blowing Rock was great.

We enjoyed the quiet of the campground. There wasn't much going on while we were there. There was heavy rain and thunderstorms during our stay. We would stay again and hope for better weather.

Very nice campground, great sites. Staff was friendly. However, for a KOA there was a lack of activities for all, especially kids.

The grounds was clean and maintained. It was my first stay at a KOA, so I don't know how the others measure up. But, this one was nice. My only complaint was that they did make an effort to shove as many spots as possible in. As a result, it was tight and the neighbors were closer than I am used to. I also had little room to park my truck. When I left, I had to squeeze through with the trailer.

We enjoyed our time. The campground, including sites, dog park, pool, playground, and and restrooms were well taken care of and very clean. Staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Some sites are small (considering camper size) but overall, it is a great KOA!

Its a nice area and its neat with the kids trying to find the little dinosaur easter eggs. There is a little paddock with goats and donkeys right there that they liked as well. We liked that each site had a view because they were stepped so you could see over the camper next to you instead of just seeing your neighbors camper. Close to Boone, Tweetsie, Mystery Hill, hiking and the rivers.

We've been coming here once a year for around 7 years. This KOA is a great location. It's convenient to everything in the Boone area. They have the best wifi of any KOA we've been to. if you come prepared to level your camper you will love this KOA. You ARE in the NC mountains! We already have reservations for next year

We completed the online reservation & included "motorhome w/tow" & the length. Seemed to be some discussion about which site would accommodate us. The space we were given was extremely out of level. Sewer connection was at the entrance of the lot. Had to buy another section to reach it. Otherwise, a nice campground. Not KOA standards.

Very old, run down campground. Playground equipment is outdated and next to an algae filled private pond and goat farm. Permanent, lifelong resident in camping area. Stray dog from permanent gets out and chases other leashed campers dogs. A camper was attacked by staff who was weed eating where camper had to call 911 as he was all cut and bloodied. This campground is sketchy and run down. We feel

We had a great time at Boone KOA. The campground is nicely maintained with in a beautiful location. They've done an excellent job with landscaping the campground, and have created a fun environment. The people there were very helpful and wonderful. We appreciated everything they did to accommodate us, and make our stay as easy as possible.

We wanted to take our 14 year old lab on what may be her final adventure. We took her years ago camping at this KOA, so we thought it would be a great place to take her again, We got the basic Kamping Kabin and we really think she enjoyed herself. We recommend this KOA, nice folks and clean accommodations. we couldn't have asked for more.

Thank you for your kind hosting us. Ladies and gentlemen were nice and took care of things. Well run. Mainly permanent party here and we had a great walk up the hill. I used the pool as the weather was perfect 7/15/26 however raining earlier in the week. I believe only open in spring and summer so just check. Boone main St area close by however parking downtown very difficult.

We had a good spot starlink didn't work to good cause we were under trees but the wifi from the campground was pretty good pet friendly swimming pool there were alot of people staying there
