Reasonable stay. Great location for the Badlands NP and also to get to Rushmore. Set up was ok, site was dirt and grass with a bit of gravel. Space between was not too close. Someone had a bug zapper nearby which was helpful.

too much mosquito in my Campsite, I can not go outside, too much. the washroom is clean. But they did not clean the campsite, that is why too much mosquito.

Clean bathrooms, fun activities, good breakfast, large fenced dog run (good to the ground fence), nice-cold swimming pool, lots of space for all campers, ez access to the Badlands, 2023 lots of mosquitoes (but the moisture helps everyone-and they sprayed, so bring bug spray and be happy it’s not bone dry.). Most importantly the staff were excellent, friendly, fun, and happy!!!

We loved the campground. It was in a quiet, peaceful, and beautiful area off the beaten path. The flies and mosquitoes are really bad, so bring the citronella and bug spray.

Bugs very bad even though they fogged. Nice pool, outdoor games. If you’re going there bring bug spray!!

Flat, pull thru lots with full hookups. Would stay there again. The little restaurant was a welcome perk after traveling all day. Buffalo burgers were delicious! Clean shower houses.

Very nice! Right in Badlands Park. Lots of mosquitoes . They have a dog wash station we used. It’s really a very nice park!

It was very HOT (102) and lots of Flys and mosquitoes so it was difficult to sit or walk around the campground. Had to use bottle water to drink as the tap water tastes bad. Staff was excellent and the site was very nice.

We stayed four nights. The location is great for visiting the Badlands. We liked the trees for shade, large off-leash pet area, and the KooKhouse and Pavillion. The staff was super nice, and the park was very clean. The biggest issue was the mosquitoes and biting flies. The staff did "fog" for bugs the morning we left which really worked. To a lesser degree, the water had an unpleasant taste.

Great location and lots of things to do. Super clean bathrooms. However the pool was super dirty, lots of hair and bandaids. Also the mosquitos and flies will get you and they will be ruthless. No amount of spray or citronella will be able to stop them.

We apologize that you encountered an untidy pool area, we have addressed the issue. The mosquitoes are more difficult to control, however we do fog and spray on a daily basis.

Great location. Nice staff. KOA store has the essentials. They do have flies as others have stated- so we didn’t sit outside. Nice locations to see badlands.

Large campsites, clean facilities and friendly staff! Only negative was the mosquitos which can’t be controlled.

Very nice campground with clean facilities. The on-site “cook shack” provided tasty and convenient meals when we did not want to cook. Best of all were the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful, even tried to figure out a solution for an issue with my van’s electrical connection. And they let us switch campsites to a shady site. Wonderful hosts!

We were just there over night but called for reservations and was able to get them when I arrived every thing was ready they took us to our lot and asked if we needed anything else then told us about local attractions

Great location and staff, the only downsides were the excessive heat and mosquitoes but hey it’s August. The fellow who guided us to our site was great. He came back much later in the day to warn us of potential bad weather. He was very thoughtful and i have to give him top marks for thoughtfulness and great customer service.

Great to have shade! Nice to have breakfast and dinner on site cooks. Really nice staff and very clean bathrooms.

Been to Badlands several times but this was our first stay at this KOA. LOVE IT! Very clean and the staff were super friendly.

Nice location and campsite . Pool was a welcome break from the heat . Lots of room and nice air conditioning in the washrooms . Too bad some parents were not watching their kids . Jumping and diving into pool with families around and inappropriate language . This does not reflect on my ratings of the location . Thanks might see you again

Owners were SO friendly and helpful!! Bath/shower room is the cleanest and safest feeling campground we’ve ever stayed at. They even had an escort to our site that carried our firewood. Will definitely recommend and return!!

We only stayed one night, but loved the location. The tent spaces were very generous. It should be noted that you DO NEED to pay or have a park pass in order to get to the campground.

Masses of mosquitos. Showers closed for cleaning at 6:00 am. Would not stop at this KOA again.

Coming off a five year drought has been hard for the entire state to overcome. We try to get the bathhouses clean for early risers, sorry you were inconvenienced.

The staff was wonderful and really helpful. I loved the fact that you deliver the firewood to the camp site and pick up the trash daily. The grounds were wonderful, cabin was adequate, pool was great, the Kookhouse was great. The access to the river was a bit challenging. It would be great if there was a path or 2 to the river. Our BIG issue was the mosquitos!! I know it's nature.

We appreciate all your comments on what we can control. Coming off a 5 year drought finds the entire state with a mosquito issue. We do our best with fogging and spraying.

I absolutely loved this nice little park. We didn't use the amenities because we came to visit the Badlands. We spent several days sightseeing the park and it was very much worth the time and money to stay here. Everyone we met was super friendly and welcoming! Grant it, I'm writing this review a year later, but it's still fresh in my memory! Thank you for such a wonderful site and a great vacation spot!

Wow! We arrived late and so happy to find a beautiful site. Very clean, quiet campground. Highly recommend if visiting the Badlands area. We spent 3 days and it was a great experience. Highly recommend the breakfast pancakes!

3.5 stars - CABIN A/C UNIT DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. It was a very hot outside (99) but for the price of cabins, the property owner(s) needs to invest in adequate units that are larger and work for weather extremes or store industrial fans for open window air movement. Getting up every two hours, to kick start an a/c unit, after being on the road for twelve hours, is NOT fun. :( The employees/management are very nice and the property is kept very clean. Bath-house (near) cabins was sparkling clean, which is always a big plus.
