It is a beautiful campground with lots of amenities. We were said the pool was closed for repairs but understand things take time to be fixed. Would stay again.

Customer service staff was unfriendly at best. We reserved a campsite and the deluxe cabin - the reservation for the cabin was cancelled for some unknown reason even though it was paid for prior to arriving. The pool is out of service. The mens room at the office building is in disrepair - sign says due to vandalism. When the cabin reservation was resolved the customer service person was rude

Good location, great for kids, pool was closed, showers had poor pressure, reasonably clean. Site was level but overgrown trees with dead branches hanging down.

It is only 8 minutes away from the Ben Reifel Badlands Visitor Center. It has many trees to help with shade and was a nice place to tent. I do wish there were more bathroom stalls near the tent area.

Don’t waste your money staying here. Management has a bad attitude. They charged the most of any Campground we stayed at with no amenities. Pool was out of order and it was in the 90s during our visit. Campground is unkempt and bathrooms were not clean and very hot. They claimed to have Wi-Fi weak at the best. No cable. feel completely ripped off. Will never stay here again.

Nice campground. They did have issues with WiFi, but that is understandable due to being in a remote area. They also had issues with the pool not working… they were waiting on a part. Quiet, clean and had a nice dog park.

I have nothing but great things to say about this campground!!! It was our first across the country trip, and when we showed up we couldn't get our electric jack down! Thor sent his employees over to help, and not only that when they couldn't figure it out.. e personally came out of the office and helped us solve the problem. I felt at home here! The kids loved the put put and rock mining. 10 star

We were disappointed that the pool was closed. Some staff was friendly, others not as much. Would have felt nicer if all sites were mowed.

On a positive note, having a full hookup minutes from the entrance to Badlands NP was great. However, we decided to eat the $100 and leave a day early. This KOA missed the standard. The grounds are pretty unkempt. The toilet seat was not attached to the toilet and the shower houses were really stinky and dirty. The pool was closed and they still had the nerve to charge a $5 per day resort fee. Ugh

Convenient location in the heart of the Badlands. Staff friendly and helpful. Facilities sites and amenities were great. Would absolutely stay here again.

The campground needed a lot more attention. The Wi-Fi was terrible. The bathrooms weren’t clean. Lots of general maintenance had been neglected: pool wasn’t open; minigolf was worn out. On the plus side: the laundry was great; water and electric worked.

The place its self was not bad except the pool. My daughters were really excited for the pool since it had a deep end. But sadly it out for repairs, my daughters were not happy and were complaining a lot about it. The yard and grass was also not maintained wellOther than the pool and the yard area, it was awesome they had a park and balls for people to play with.

Disappointing - Upon arrival we found out the pool was closed for maintenance. During our stay we never saw any work being done on it, and the lounge chairs were still stacked up telling me it never actually opened. The mini golf course was so dated and decrepit. Some holes were recovered with new turf, but no work was being done while we were there. Sites are very close together. Great location

Only 2g internet which is not enough to sustain a campground that size. Pool was not open. Bathrooms need an upgrade. Thor was threatening to throw me out when I brought concerns to him.

Quite grown up. Needed a lot of repairs. Mini golf looked abandoned and we couldn’t even use the pool, due to renovations. (Which is aggravating because we booked this KOA for the pool and weren’t informed ahead of time). We had to bypass and go under several ladders just to get into the office to check in.

Great location close to Badlands National Park, and we loved the yurt accommodation (super cool!). But we were disappointed that the pool was temporarily closed (on a hot day in June), and the bathroom/shower had a leaky sink that sprayed a lot of water every time it was turned on.

We, 2 of us, stayed in a pod with a bathroom for two nights in early June. They are small but still fulfilled our wants and needs perfectly. The nights got cool and one night there was a very impressive electrical storm with accompanying rain. The pod stayed warm and dry. This KOA is very close to Badlands NP and Cowboy Corner (convenience store and maybe restaurant).

Not worth the cost . Employees unfriendly, no escort to site (had escorts before) site was dirty tree had several dead limbs. Pool not open, over all not pleasant. The gal at check in was the only bright spot . She was doing it all. We were in a motorhome so didn’t use the bathrooms

We have stayed at a few KOAs and found them fabulous however Badlands was disappointing. The shower/toilet facilities were dirty and needed maintenance and the pool was broken. The camp was run down and didn’t uphold the usual KOA experience.

Great location to The Badlands. Pool was out of service and after two nights during our stay the internet was out of service in our section of the campground.

The pool was closed, ac didnt work, bathrooms were filthy, mattress was terrible, the place was very run down, considering we have stayed in many koa cabins, this was the worst one, and it was the most expensive. Im glad we only booked one night. We are currently at the mount rushmore koa cabins and it is wonderful and was cheaper.

The campground was in disrepair. The pool was out of service, miniature golf was not working, and I was assigned to site next to a longtime resident who had sprawled out well beyond the boundaries of his campsite. One positive thing is that the staff were cheerful and did the best to help out. It is clear that this campground is on its way to failure.

This was our 3rd stay, but we were very disappointed. We returned because in the past our stays were more pleasant. This trip the pool was out of order, the bikes were broke, the internet signal was to weak to even use and lastly the sewer dump station was out of order. I would have expected the park to have been more prepared for guests to arrive.

It was so peaceful. We were here early in the season to beat the crowds. Weather was great and sat outside and watched the animals scurry about. We had a long slot for our 5th wheel/truck. We have been here before and it is an easy in and easy out.

Great location & most shaded CG in area. Contrary to website & roadside signs; pool was closed entire 4 days (starting Memorial Day) n no hot food @ camp store (new stoves arrived on departure day). Campstore's bathhouse had obvious mold & algae all men's shower stalls - staff responsed w inaudible grunt. 2 days later, showers still open and uncleaned. 9 hole putt-putt falling apart.

I was disappointed in the disparity between patio RV sites. There were 3 and I got the worst of them for the same price. The other two had concrete pads, gas grills and one even having an umbrella with the table and a very nice fire pit with wind protection. I got a Weber Grill (who carries charcoal with them?), patio blocks, and right next to the propane tank and dump station. Not again.

I wish you would have mentioned your concerns sometime during your three nights with us. That site is actually quite popular because of the size of the yard.

We loved our stay at the Kampground, perfectly located ar less than 10 min driving from the Interior entrance of the Badlands National Park. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Having hot pizza available at any time was a plus. My only suggestion would be transforming the pool in a splash pad, or create one next to the playground area.

We stayed in a cabin. The mattress was from the 1960's. The bunks were hard. Water needed filtering. AC blew breakers a few times. Pool was out of order. It was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

We’ve been stopping by this campground for years on our way West, but no more, this KOA has gone down hill quickly, the only friendly person was Kerrie, the pool should have been opened, it wasn’t, the grounds aren’t very maintained. I don’t think they are taking any pride in the campground. Come on KOA, you can do better than this!

When you were here you got to see 2 of the holes in our original mini golf being replaced. As you were told at check in we are awaiting parts for our pool. We are sorry to hear you did not find any of of local Lakota staff to be friendly. You could have said something any of the times I said hi.

In good location and scenic. Not friendly. Fire pit up against sewer hookup. Other connections far apart. Campground smells like sewer. Pool and mini golf in disrepair . Bathrooms dirty. Not up to normal koa standards. Probably won’t be back unless new owners/ managers.

During your stay we rebuilt 2 holes on our mini golf. As you were told during check in our pool is waiting on parts. We would love to have it open but we at the mercy of shipping times. We wish you would have brought your other concerns to us while you were here.

Location is great but overall the campground is very worn down and needs to be maintained more. Pool was out of service, Dump station not working, Minature golf is in very bad shape. Our site was very nice and long and we loved it. Just compared to other KOA's it is overpriced. Hunt Brother Pizza is not ready but is advertised like it is. Staff very nice. Cut stay short due to maintenance needed.

100% of our RV sites have sewer, so we do not need a dump station. Our mini golf had 2 holes rebuilt while you were here. Our only promotion for pizza is a sign by the road that says "coming soon". Our pool is closed due to equipment failure. The Deluxe Patio was under $100 on a holiday week.

We rented a basic camping cabin for 2 nights. Only issue the mattresses on the beds could be a bit thicker, otherwise the campfire ring and porch swing were great, water tap right by our cabin. Store had nice selection. Wings were very good and kids liked the Hunt Bros pizza.

Great location right by the badlands. Also right alongside the river. We were just passing through for the night. They serve pizza in the store. Nice little store. Spacious sites.
