Camping is not complete without a nice campfire. The KOA is one of the few campgrounds where campfires are allowed in the Badlands area. Plenty of wood is available for sale in our store.
It can get warm in the Badlands and there is no better way to cool off than a dip in our large built-in swimming pool. We also have a wading pool for the tiny tikes, and lots of deck chairs and loungers to stay close to the action. The pool is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
Practice those short shots on our on-site miniature golf course or if you want to get more serious, Wall has a nice 9 hole, 36 par golf course you can visit with amazing views along the way.

The kids will have a blast tie-dying their own t-shirt, making silly putty, or creating a plaster cast of footprints in the dust. Check the camp store for a schedule of craft activities for children.
The White River and shade trees at the KOA are awesome bird habitat, where numerous songbirds nest. In addition to the thousands of cliff swallows along the river, there are resident turkeys, owls and songbirds. The White River basin is a migratory flyway for sandhill cranes, sandpipers and ducks. Bald eagles and red-tailed hawks visit regularly.
Stroll the perimeter of our 31 acre campground and enjoy the serenity of the White River and views of the Badlands. Wildlife abounds on the river banks, Bird watchers can delight in seasonal flyers and winged local residents. Everyone will marvel at the cliff swallows, nesting by the thousands under the bridges bordering the property.
Let your dog have some fun in our 150 'x 50' dog park . This fenced, off-leash area is large enough to play fetch with Fido. Or watch your furry friend frolic with other dog pals while you sit in the shade on the garden swing.
Regulation horseshoe pegs are set up near the playground. You can borrow horseshoes from the camp store for an afternoon of campground fun. (Kampgrounds of America, Inc. photograph)
