We had a wonderful time visiting the Badlands NP. Have a base camp was wonderful to come back to after a long day of hiking and visiting surrounding area sites. Friendly staff! Thanks!

It was a great place to pitch a tent for a couple nights. Bathrooms were ok. Pool was under unexpected construction but not a big deal. Definitely no privacy between campsites but its how you meet new people.

We were camping 2 nights at the campground. It would be great if the staff would ck to make sure there was toilet paper available at the bathrooms where the tents are located. I saw 2 staff by the bathrooms thinking they resupplied the bathroom with toilet paper, unfortunately this was not the case. The bathrooms are cleaned daily between 11:30 and noon- again, nobody refilled the toilet paper.

The White River KOA is one of my favorite campgrounds because of its location. I'm a tent camper, and when I want to "get away from it all" I don't want to camp next to an interstate. White River is very quiet (except for kids). The setting is in a Cottonwood grove along the river, and in early spring all you hear is the birds singing and coyotes at night. A very restful place near Badlands.

Bathrooms stayed dirty, ran out of toilet paper both days, showers were awfully dirty, showers did not have warm water, shower heads were terrible. Pool was not working.

Picked this campground cause they had a pool.When we get there the pool is down for maintenance.This was very disappointing,my boys were really looking forward to swimming.Also felt the sites were too close together.This wil be my last time camping at a KOA.

We booked this campsite over others because of the pool, but we were not informed that the pool would be out of commission until we checked in. We also had our campsite in an area where the wifi didn't really reach us, and it's by the set of bathrooms that are toilet/showers combined, so in the mornings and evenings, it's basically impossible to use them because of how crowded they get.

This stay was a little rough. The bathrooms were dirty and out of toilet paper our entire stay. The fire pits were also dirty when we arrived. Otherwise, this was a nice place to stay and very close to the Badlands.

This was the worst campground I’d ever been to. The sites are right on top each other. No privacy. Not at all what is advertised on the website. Pool was broken. Staff was very unfriendly and seemed clueless.

It is only 8 minutes away from the Ben Reifel Badlands Visitor Center. It has many trees to help with shade and was a nice place to tent. I do wish there were more bathroom stalls near the tent area.

Wonderful place to stay, very friendly neighbors, super close to the Badlands, lots of trees which provide shade (can't find that at other nearby campsites!), and being able to have a fire was a big plus. Wish there were more bathrooms and that they were a little cleaner, but that being said, I was happy to have them at all at a campsite!

One shower was broken for the tent sites, longer wait times and no signage. Could use a good clean as well. Bottled water other than Dasani is necessary. Otherwise, clean sites and friendly staff.

Good location, very close to the Badlands. Quiet and shady. Pool wasn't open, despite email before trip saying it'd be open on Memorial day. The campsite is near the river, but the river is not accessible, which is a bit misleading.

Check in was quick and easy. The only comment I have is during early season stays, the possibility of heat in the shower. When it’s in the 30’s/low 40’s taking a warm shower and then drying off in a cold room is not super inviting.

We had a wonderful two-night stayover at this KOA campground in the South Dakota Badlands during the second week of October. The site, facilities, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the host who greeted us upon our arrival. The tent site was spacious and clean, and there was ample information given to us about the various amenities and services available on site.

Friendly staff, we had plenty of space for our ten man tent, and a large screen tent. Restroom was a close walk and the showers were clean- which is a big deal for me! Wood was pricey in my opinion for small, fast burning bundles. The views were beautiful! Would love to stay again and try one of the small cabins.

Gracious Hosts, safe and clean and refreshingly shaded! It was quiet and I could really relax! Just minutes to Badlands NP.. Will definitely return on my next trip.

Excellent facilities and sites, with shade, which is appreciated in the Badlands! Very beautiful location right near the National Park entrance. The campground host was helpful and welcoming.

The facilities were old and not cleaned regularly. Do not expect to use the WiFi in the tent area. The deer and coyotes roamed along the river banks frequently. The location was convenient to the Badlands.

Hospitality from the owner was great! There is a lot of room for everyone. We have been there with a small tent. It is silence in in the night and not to much camping lights. We had a very good stay for two Nigers.

We spent 2 nights in a tent at badlands koa. We love the facilities! Very clean and the tent sites are beautiful! The bathrooms are convenient for the tent campers as well. Great relaxing campground after a day hiking the badlands or visiting Wall drug or the missile site. Great and helpful host! We love this campground!

The KOA was wonderful We were able to check in early , we were tenting so spots readily available!! The man who checked us in was from our local town , made us feel welcome very pleasant The pool was clean ,just cold lol it’s September what was I thinking ? We stayed here a few years back and it was nice.Now it seemed neglected. A facet broken off in the ladies restroom. The shower in the tent area had the water fixture nearly falling off the wall. You couldn't control the water temp, either cold or scalding hot. Couldnt use shower, for fear I'd get burnt. Only 2 restrooms for tent area, always had to wait. We won't return.

A beautiful location but subpar service! I’m not one to write many reviews but was definitely dissatisfied with my stay at Badlands KOA. Bathrooms were a mess and none of them had toilet paper. When I mentioned to one of the employees they promised to take care of it, but it never happened. A massive rain hail windstorm came through right at dusk, the campground flooded. This happened around 7:30. Everything we had was soaked, tents were ruined. I went up to the office at 8:20, asked if we could rent a couple of the open cabins by us and was told sorry, he had already counted the money and locked everything up. Lost revenue for you all, and a sour taste left in my groups mouths.

In on vacation from 1500 miles away and we're sooooo happy with the accommodations. The staff was extremely friendly and informative. The campground itself were well maintained and the bathrooms were clean at all times. I highly recommend this location for your stay in the Badlands

Great campground! We stayed for about a week and enjoyed what the campground had to offer. We stayed in tent village and my only complaint was the flies! They were everywhere! We couldn't eat at our campground because of how many there were all the time. There wasn't much that could be done unfortunately, it was a known issue. The campers next to us decide to leave early because of it.

We stayed in tent site 125. The site was beautiful! There’s a lot of space between sites with nice shade trees and away from the road. Restrooms were not very clean. Vents in restrooms needed to be cleaned and toilets difficult to flush. Dish washing station at restrooms was nice! Overall feel of the park was very pleasant, quiet, and close to The Badlands NP entrance. Would stay again!

We stayed 2 nights in Yurt 1. It was very comfortable with the AC (temps were in the 90s). Little frig, microwave, and table with 4 chairs inside, fire pit and grill outside. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

We stayed here two nights and enjoyed it. We had a pull-thru lot in the shade. I really liked that there was a large grassy area with some shade where I could walk my dogs. I don't recall a dog park, but the pool was clean and in use when we were there four days ago. The bathrooms behind the office area were clean and did have lots of hooks which was great. There was an issue with drainage in the middle shower, though. (I forgot to mention it at checkout - sorry.)

Gravel pull thru spot not even (rounded in middle), pool small but clean, restrooms average but clean, mini golf in poor condition. Overall it worked but not the nicest KOA we've been to. Also the layout is odd. Our pull through was at the end of a road so when parking tow vehicle behind, we had to back up down long road to get out. Great location for exploring the badlands.
