This is the only place my family will stay when we come to the Badlands. The other campgrounds are all in the hot sun and we would not survive, because we have a popup. This place has lots of shade, clean bathrooms, and a nice laundry facility. The pool is very relaxing as well.

Campground is listed as a Holiday, but seems more like a Journey. Laundry isn’t clean, overall grounds maintenance minimal, miniature golf is barely useable. Paid for a patio site with two dead trees and a grill that was barely functional. Great location for Badlands NP. Ok to stay there but don’t expect a nice campground

All in all it wasn’t a terrible stay. The water spigot was pretty old at our site, and we had to have maintenance come replace parts on it for us to hook up. The pool was nice enough. What really bothered us (and by the sound of it, many other campers) were the bathhouses. There were many instances where there was no toilet paper, soap, weren’t clean, and unbearably hot without airflow.

What a beautiful area of our country. You've got to drive thru the Badlands Loop Road. And definitely go visit the Minuteman Missle welcome and Delta 9 sites. Loved the big, spacious campsite we had.

The manager was very kind and worked with us when we had to leave for repairs on the RV. The campground is great with wide spaces for the RV. It is so close to the national park. We enjoyed our stay.

Very nice campground located just outside the National Park entrance. Shaded trees and large campsites made it a lovely place to stay. Staff was very kind.Small camp store but does have a swimming pool!

This KOA needs a good bit of maintenance done, especially the bathrooms. Campsites need work.

We stayed 2 nights in the same spot. the second night the price went up $20 and no one could explain why. Bathrooms and showers were dirty. Wifi did not work either day, even in the office, even after we reported it. The woman at the desk was rude & refused to answer our questions. They charge $4.95 "resort fee" - for what?!? Used to be a much better place 2 years ago. It's declined A LOT.

We partly chose this KOA because I needed to have WIFI to access the Internet for a work day. We were unable to connect, but the owner was gracious in allowing me to work from his office here I could get online. I am so thankful. I hope the pool can get fixed. As the weather was unusually cool, we did not miss it, but it is a nice feature. Love the cottonwood trees at our site--109!

To be honest, I was a little worried about staying here after reading some of the reviews. As usual, don't always believe what others say. This campground was clean, the staff was super friendly, dumpsters were not overflowing. Not sure if something has changed with the management, but we will definitely stay here again. Oh, and the pool was full of kids so it works also. Worth staying here!

We had booked two nights at this KOA (first time here), the trash dumpsters were overflowing and the wifi did not work for us at all. Which sealed the deal for us to get Starlink. We canceled our second night and booked the KOA Hot Springs. Some areas of the KOA were spic and span and some areas need some TLC.

The bathrooms were old and had no toilet paper. Wifi was too weak to be useful. Staff looked grumpy. Pool was nice but could use some umbrellas to give shade. Sites were a good size.

Loved the moonrises at night. Staff very helpful. Pizza was great! Loved trash pickup. Our site was lovely, too.

Bathrooms clean, campground could use some upgrades, tidy up a bit. The utilities were far from each other at some. Great location.

The site we were assigned was given to other campers. We were put in a much smaller site than our rig should have been in as we were into the roadway. Come to find out the people that were in our original site were put in the wrong side because the staff didn't realize 160 was an actual site, they were then moved. But never informed us or apologized. Bathroom was filthy

We stayed in campsite 140. The campsite itself was fine however, the dump spot was right in front of another campsite. We chose not to hook our dump up while we were there so that it would not inconvenience those campers however, upon leaving in the morning, we had to make a lot of noise dumping. Furthermore, the main dump was closed.

Friendly staff. Great little gift/snack shop. Prompt garbage pickup and cleaning after departures. Short staffed. Pool out of order. Mini golf course in disrepair but still fun. We purchased the last bundle of firewood, which was skimpy for the cost and it burned quickly the first night. No ideas whether other firewood was available or when. We didn't check the next day if there was more wood.

The pool was green - literally... and closed. Even if it was open no human would want to use it. The store ran out of firewood. Mini golf course in full state of disrepair to the point of being unusable, the basketballs and other sporting equipment worn out and not usable. There was a bike available that had no seat. This could be a really nice campground if the details were addressed.

Another camper drove over and destroyed our Starlink Mini while it was on our campsite. We immediately asked the office for help and were told to “resolve it ourselves.” When the camper refused to cooperate, we called the after-hours security line only to find it wasn’t accepting calls. We ultimately had to involve the sheriff ourselves.

The bathrooms need repair. After flushing, the toilet bubbled and nearly got me! Also, yet another KOA with horrible Wi-Fi! It's an epidemic! Trying to do the least bit of work was impossible. KOA's you need to spend money wisely on your infrastructure for your Wi-Fi system. It's important to your guests!

Internet was unusable, office said for pizza, order before 7:00. Called at 5:00 and they said pizza was closed. Pool was out of order. Gravel site not real level. Could have stayed at a motel for less money, had a pool, food. Staff was friendly according to my wife. Sorry about poor review.

The campsite was okay. However the pool was closed for repairs, the dump station was closed, and the mini golf course was destroyed and the wood was rotting. I have stayed there on two other occasions and it appears now that the campground is not being maintained up to the level that it used to be. Is there new management that is letting the campground run down without maintaining it? I hope not.

Pool never open as advertised. Showers do not drain. Sink provided to wash dishes filthy. Loved our campsite located under large tree for shade.

This is a nice enough rv park but people should know they have a strict 1 pm check-in time. Do not arrive before that. It would be helpful if that were clearly posted on their website.

The sites were kept beautifully, convenient location to the park, this is the second koala this trip where the pool was not open. Upon check in the young lady was very pleasant and helpful, the other lady just played on her phone until more than three people were in line, she was also very unfriendly in answering a question the next day.

The park has changed a lot on the last two years. The park has not been maintained, the playground equipment/ toys were broken, pool was closed, putt putt was not maintained. The staff seemed unhappy and the closure of the kook shack was a major negative. I was very disappointed in this stay as I had some memories of this place in the past. I'm not sure if book again in the future.

Very close to the Badlands. It looks to be under new management or the management is really doing some great upgrades. We had a patio site that had seen better days but was still nice to have! I’d highly recommend this campground.

Closest KOA to Badlands National Park. Our site was level. Grounds had been mowed. Staff was helpful, but no escort to site, but not easiest to locate, others also drove around trying to find the correct site. Pool was closed, it was being worked on one day we were there. This KOA offers a close place to camp while visiting the Badlands. Definitely fits category of a Journey vs Holiday.

Pool closed down and looked in disrepair, no ice available, no TP in the back bathroom, the people seem to work hard there, but there’s a lack of labor that needs to support the campers.

Beautiful sites and great location but maintenance deferred campground. Dump station wasn’t working. Pool wasn’t working and showers had knobs falling off. Dog park had dog poo all over it. Dumpster was way overloaded. It’s a shame. I hope The owners can address it soon because it could be a gorgeous spot

Service was terrible. I had a discount code and she didn’t try to take it. Pool was green and had green moss and debris floating around. Sites and office were unappealing. There were people walking around and cars in out in the middle of the night. I did not feel secure.

It was okay. Nice dog park. The gentleman delivering firewood, dog park supplies and getting trash was friendly and nice. The rest of the staff was so so. The bramble and broken down equipment by the workshop needs to be cleaned up. We had our choice of this or the septic area for views. Other areas near the office were much nicer. I would choose another campground if I were to return to the area.

Two adults traveling in RV with two dogs. Upon arrival we learned that the pool was not functional, one of the reasons for picking this campground. Staff were not friendly. Wifi did not reach our RV, across the dirt road entry. Doggy play area was dirt or mud, after the rain. While a lot of options for types of stays, this was not a positive experience for us.

Not happy! Worst KOA I have been to. 4 washing machines on 150 spots is not enough. Pool was out-of-service. Employees seemed not motivated. Rest was OK.

We stayed 2 nights in Yurt 1. It was very comfortable with the AC (temps were in the 90s). Little frig, microwave, and table with 4 chairs inside, fire pit and grill outside. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

We stayed here two nights and enjoyed it. We had a pull-thru lot in the shade. I really liked that there was a large grassy area with some shade where I could walk my dogs. I don't recall a dog park, but the pool was clean and in use when we were there four days ago. The bathrooms behind the office area were clean and did have lots of hooks which was great. There was an issue with drainage in the middle shower, though. (I forgot to mention it at checkout - sorry.)

Gravel pull thru spot not even (rounded in middle), pool small but clean, restrooms average but clean, mini golf in poor condition. Overall it worked but not the nicest KOA we've been to. Also the layout is odd. Our pull through was at the end of a road so when parking tow vehicle behind, we had to back up down long road to get out. Great location for exploring the badlands.
