Everyone was really nice and our kids enjoyed the pool. We would have appreciated even a single microwaveable dish in the deluxe cabin as there was nothing to use to microwave items. Unfortunately the coffee maker did not work and the water did not stay warm for a 10 minute shower. The people in the front office were kind and helpful.

we upgraded to have a cabin that had a bed made, bathroom furnished, we got there and NO BED MADE ! NOT EVEN BEDDING IN THE CABIN, NO Towels or linens at all - I called the office and the girl who answered stated: "well I think our maid / housing staff has gone for the day! This was at 3:30 in the afternoon when we got there?? I told her we needed/paid for this, bad service!

The only thing I wish was that the pod had a couple plates and utensils. Also, it got very hot during the day so some shade over the pod would be helpful.

When my family and I arrived we were disappointed to see that the two amenities we were most looking forward to were out of commission: the swimming pool and the mini golf. We had rented a deluxe cabin. When we arrived there was no power to the cabin. The mini fridge had thawed and leaked onto the floor. Once we got power restored the AC kept giving us an error code - it was a rough night!

Campground is in disrepair but it was best one we saw this close to badlands. Pool closed, mini golf sad and no ice? Stayed in a cabin that was clean but sign on ac says it only cools to 78.

Very disappointing. A deciding factor in choosing this campground was the pool because we ya e young kids. The pool was closed. The mini golf was in disrepair, the bathrooms were filthy, the yurt was clearly not cleaned. One of the three staff at front desk was clearly bothered by any little question and rude. Wouldn’t stay here again. Disappointing for a KOA brand.

The cabin was great, however the mattress was as hard as a rock. Terrible night’s sleep, for the price of the cabin, they need to improve the mattress.

The cabin was great! Except for the 2 different coffee pots we tried that didn’t work. Also, the WiFi was extremely spotty and the pool was closed. Don’t advertise these amenities on your website if they don’t work well or are not available.

The cabin was clean and as described, however, the A/C and coffee pot did not work properly. The bunks need fitted sheets provided, as the flat sheets just slid around on the plastic mattresses. The pool was closed and obviously had been for a while, and the internet service was very poor. These are all amenities listed on the site, so should be provided.

Everything seemed very run down and as though less than the bare minimum was done to keep things running. Everything was dirty and/or broken. Very disappointing.

I was really surprised at the conditions of the campground and the bathrooms. The bathrooms where a mess tile was falling off the walls, toilet seat was on the bathroom floor, the woman's shower was full of used shampoo bottles and soap containers. I've gone to this campground for many years, and it was always very nice, and they had an outdoor grill. Now they just have pizza and wings. Sad...

We had planned to spend a few of our days at the camp using the pool. Apparently, the pool has been down all season. I felt we should have been notified of this and when I asked, they said it was announced on their website. So I looked there. All the amenities are listed in little red letters and the word pool was just removed. I do NOT call that an announcement

We love the Badlands and this place is a great place to stay to be close to the area! The cabin was nice and we enjoyed our stay at this KOA. We will be back!

It was close to the Badlands and a quiet place to rest. Unfortunately, many of the amenities were closed or deteriorating. The staff was great and the pizza shop was a bonus.

It was a great location and the cabin was nice. We were bummed that the pool was under repair so we could not swim. The worst part was that the bathrooms were constantly out of toilet paper and several of the showers in the men's bathrooms needed repair.

This was my second time here.Several issues this time.Dump station closed, Pool closed for repairs, 2 showers out of order in front men's bathrooms, toilets clogged in men's front bathroom.Shower curtains in men's back bathroom broken.Cabin we stayed in was not clean. I would think that to have the KOA name that the campground would need to meet certain standards.This was the worst one ever.

The cabin and personal bathroom were clean and comfortable. The playground was in great condition. We were disappointed that the pool was closed.for repairs and the mini golf course also needed repairs for many of the holes. There were pedal crawlers all over the park, often left on empty campsites. They also needed maintenance. The location was perfect for visiting the Badlands National Park

I liked the remote location and layout of the campground. It was unfortunate that the pool was down, the mini golf was under construction (still, since last year), the bathrooms were partially out of order from poor maintenance/vandalism, and the staff was not very attentive. I'm sure it's a challenge to find and keep knowledgeable employees in a remote area. Investments needed at this KOA.

Customer service staff was unfriendly at best. We reserved a campsite and the deluxe cabin - the reservation for the cabin was cancelled for some unknown reason even though it was paid for prior to arriving. The pool is out of service. The mens room at the office building is in disrepair - sign says due to vandalism. When the cabin reservation was resolved the customer service person was rude

Great location close to Badlands National Park, and we loved the yurt accommodation (super cool!). But we were disappointed that the pool was temporarily closed (on a hot day in June), and the bathroom/shower had a leaky sink that sprayed a lot of water every time it was turned on.

We, 2 of us, stayed in a pod with a bathroom for two nights in early June. They are small but still fulfilled our wants and needs perfectly. The nights got cool and one night there was a very impressive electrical storm with accompanying rain. The pod stayed warm and dry. This KOA is very close to Badlands NP and Cowboy Corner (convenience store and maybe restaurant).

The pool was closed, ac didnt work, bathrooms were filthy, mattress was terrible, the place was very run down, considering we have stayed in many koa cabins, this was the worst one, and it was the most expensive. Im glad we only booked one night. We are currently at the mount rushmore koa cabins and it is wonderful and was cheaper.

We loved our stay at the Kampground, perfectly located ar less than 10 min driving from the Interior entrance of the Badlands National Park. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Having hot pizza available at any time was a plus. My only suggestion would be transforming the pool in a splash pad, or create one next to the playground area.

We stayed in a cabin. The mattress was from the 1960's. The bunks were hard. Water needed filtering. AC blew breakers a few times. Pool was out of order. It was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

The Deluxe Cabin was very cute and had most of what we needed. The campground was quiet and pretty. Too bad the pool wasn’t open on a hot day. The front porch swing was nice and having a full en-suite bathroom was great. The air conditioning didn’t work very well so it was hot in the cabin, but we only stayed one night. The coffee maker did not work. The bed was kind of uncomfortable.

This KOA stay was pricey. The camper cabin was small and full of cobwebs. The pool was not open for Memorial Day weekend, and the grounds were rundown.

We really enjoyed our stay at Badlands KOA! We stayed in a tenting cabin that was rustic, but clean and comfortable. I loved the porch swing on the front of it. When I think of our time in Badlands NP I’ll think of that swing!

Location to the park is great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our cabin was clean and the grounds were clean. Did not buy anything in the store but it was clean and organized. Disappointed the pool wasn't open. The mini-golf course needs work. If you can't stay in the park, this is a great option outside the park.

Solidly mid campground, bathrooms were clean but dated and the women’s room had a clearly broken sink. The yurt was cute and cozy, but smelled strongly of cleaning products. The camp store employees were uninterested in selling me anything so I needed up not buying a drink or a postcard. Would stay again because of its proximity to the national park but not a KOA I would go out of my way to see.

It was quiet and the staff was friendly. It was a cold night and it was difficult to keep the yurt above 40F. The sink outside the satellite washroom was profusely leaking hot water down the outside wall and on the deck. Another guest shut it off at the valve under the sink. This KOA is a perfect location.

We stayed here two nights and enjoyed it. We had a pull-thru lot in the shade. I really liked that there was a large grassy area with some shade where I could walk my dogs. I don't recall a dog park, but the pool was clean and in use when we were there four days ago. The bathrooms behind the office area were clean and did have lots of hooks which was great. There was an issue with drainage in the middle shower, though. (I forgot to mention it at checkout - sorry.)

Gravel pull thru spot not even (rounded in middle), pool small but clean, restrooms average but clean, mini golf in poor condition. Overall it worked but not the nicest KOA we've been to. Also the layout is odd. Our pull through was at the end of a road so when parking tow vehicle behind, we had to back up down long road to get out. Great location for exploring the badlands.
