Our stay was great! Wonderful, friendly staff. The facilities were clean. The kids had fun with the mini golf and pool. It was nice to have the option to do laundry. I would definitely stay again! Thanks!

You should not sell your deluxe cabin as sleeping 6 people. We had 5 adults and only 2 were wanting to share a bed . We had one person that had to sleep on the floor! There was no sofa no tv and we were tripping over each other! This cabin only holds 6 people if some are young children!

From the moment you arrive after a very long and exciting day in the Badlands, you are met with friendly staff. They go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. It’s a quiet place. Pack food with you or eat at the food shack at the KOA because there is nothing in driving distance.

It was quick but enjoyed our timing staying in Yurt 1. Very comfortable. Had to wait quite a few times for restroom but otherwise all was great.

We stayed in a yurt. I think during our visit ( may '25) the yurts were pretty new. The beds were comfortable. Linens were supplied. We had brought our own though. Even with the heater, it was chilly at night. During the day we just opened the top and the windows for comfort. There could be more storage for clothing or bags. The bathrooms were filthy the entire stay. That was the biggest issue.

Very nice, clean tiny cabin with everything we needed for the night. Bed was hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. Would be fine if I had a mattress pad.

This has been my favorite campground for years! The tent camping is the best, with its tall old shade trees. But this time we chose a deluxe cabin, due to the chilly weather. Plus I do like having my own bathroom and shower. I’ve been staying here since my kids were little, over 40 years ago. Many happy memories!

Stayed in a 4 person cabin - very simple yet clean! Was a great option and wayyyy better than the VRBO (safety wise) we vacated to go here last minute. 10min from badlands national park.

A small KOA with friendly staff. We booked a glamping pod but the water in the shower did not work and didn’t get warm. They gave us an upgrade to a deluxe cabin. Close to Badlands that makes it easy to do night sky photografy

Location within minutes of Badlands National Park. The KOA is comfortable and clean. And the management was responsible and attentive about a small (not worth mentioning) issue we had. It was addressed immediately, and I commend them, Recommend this spot to anyone going to the Badlands.

The staff was friendly. What I wasn't happy about the mini frig not plugged in and ruined my medicine. When I put meds in the frig it was cool so I assumed it was plugged in. I take part blame for assuming the frig was plugged in. You are partly to blame for not having the cabin fully ready upon our arrival. We plugged the frig in so no one else would have the same problem.

We loved this KOA. It is in the middle of nowhere which we loved. It was quiet and the view of stars at night was amazing. We rented a cabin and decided to stay an extra night. If you are visiting the badlands and need a place to stay, I highly recommend this KOA.

The location is great if you’re exploring the badlands. The staff was great. The buildings need maintenance or updating. We stayed in the small yurt. It was dirty, the smoke alarm was chirping, the floors and doors were loud/squeaky, lots of spiders/bugs. The bathroom building was subpar for cleanliness. The pool has a deep end which is rare.

We were in cabin 93 air conditioning did not work. They tried to fix it. It needs to be replaced. I love that cabin. Please fix the air conditioner. Otherwise great stay.

Great location for the Badlands for several days. Tiny couples cabin had what we needed. Not much room to store items but we made it work. Owners and store staff were great!

I THOUGHT I rented a cabin. Got a pod. With a double bed, which I NEVER get because my husband and I Do not fit well. The “blanket “ didn’t cover two people so we were on the chilly side. The campground is clean, the workers friendly. But the pod wrecked any thoughts of staying there again. The picture I clicked on was a CABIN. With a queen bed.

The front desk person was very helpful upgrading us to a deluxe cabin instead of a tent sight. Staff very friendly. Only thing that could have been improved is the coffee pot. It took for ever to brew and the filter holder had loose coffee grounds in it from past use.

We booked a last-minute "Camping Cabin" while passing through Badlands National Park on Labor Day weekend. Despite arriving after hours, the staff had our late check-in well-prepared. Note that our cabin didn’t include bed linens (available for an extra cost), so be sure to check when reserving. The bathrooms and facilities were very clean, and the cabin was well-maintained.

Upgraded to a small cabin from tent. They said they had one more and the price was way higher then the KOA we stayed night before. They lied because the cabins next to us had nobody in them. Just a very unpleasant experience! They said they do not charge for extra people. Lie! In the agreement you do. Like KOA but not this one

We have been coming here for years and love it each time! The food in the cook shack was good and reasonably priced, the pancakes are huge! My grandson tried a bison burger for the first time and loved it. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Thanks for a nice stay!

Beautiful place. Cabin full bed is old and creaky and back windows had no privacy curtains. Air conditioner at 78 degrees is pretty useless. Grounds were great, bathrooms clean, and location is excellent!

We stayed in one of the cabins. It was very comfortable. We had air conditioning and a heater in the room. The bathrooms and showers were very nice and clean. The water was hot. There was a microwave in the store we could use. We also did laundry which was great. The kids had fun in the pool and played mini golf a few times. The staff was AMAZING. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and available. They also had a little mining place were the kids could sift bags of sand looking for gemstones and fossils. There was a cook shack that we went to for breakfast for pancakes and sausage. They had burgers and appetizers but it was closed 2 of the days we stayed so we didnt get to try those. It was a really good experience and would definitely stay again.

Unless your overall goal is the Badlands Park, then the only concern is the drive "to and from" other attractions and other stores. The campsite is "dead smack" in the middle of an Native American reservation. Otherwise the KOA is definitely worth visiting!
