Sites are cramped, our picnic table and fire pit were 3 feet from our neighbor’s sewer pipe. Needless to say, we didn’t spend much time outside. It’s close to entrance of Badlands NP. 4 stars because the people were so friendly, it was a good stop over while we visited the national park. The laundry facilities were clean and affordable.

The facility, cleanliness, food stand, and excellent staff made this a very enjoyable stay. However, I am concerned about the accuracy of the online booking site. When booking I had only 1 option for my tent trailer, which turned out to be an expensive family tent site. Six cheaper sites were not used during my stay, and I paid too much due to this website error!

Nice staff, well maintained campground, and good food. Plenty of activities for the family and nice laundry facilities. FYI... if you come in from Exit 131 off 90, you will need to pay entry fees to the Badlands National Park to drive through to the campground. We had the National Parks yearly pass so no big deal for us. We enjoyed our stay.

The yurt is very nice and comfortable, staff is friendly. The only reason not a perfect rating, sold us wet firewood. By the time we tried starting our campfire the store was closed and nobody to fix issue.

Mosquitos were vicious.

Yes sometimes the mosquitos can be vicious since we are surrounded by trees for shade, water, and farm lands, it is a battle to keep nature at bay.

Personnel is extra and tent's sector is very nice but needs extra toilets.

This was my first time staying at a KOA and I loved it! The pool, restaurant, games including mini golf were great additions to our experience that I hadn't had before. We also left a night early due to the pending weather and were given a refund of the night's stay which was great. I would definitely stay at KOA's in the future.

Just spent one night there will passing thru. It’s right outside the badlands park. It was a nice place. Take what you need with you as this is fairly far out from services. There is a small store up the road but limited. Closest is Wall, SD which you should really go check out wall drug.

I have stayed here a couple of times and have always enjoyed the resort. This trip we stayed in the back section site 140 and loved it. I would have given you all 10 but when we checked in I had a small attitude from the older lady behind the counter. KOA has increased there prices so much I just cannot understand the need to charge me and extra $10.60 because I showed up an hour early.

We loved everything about this KOA. This was our first time ever camping as a family and we are so glad to have had that experience at KOA badlands/white river.

Needed a campsite at the last minute due to a change of plans, and they cheerfully accommodated us. The campground was well maintained, the restrooms and showers as well. And they have nice shaded sites in an area that does not have many trees, and gets hot.

I've stayed at several KOAs but this one is the very best. It's in a great location and the entire place is beautiful. I stayed in a pod. It was very cute and adequate for my needs. The only recommendation I have is that they put up a couple extra hooks in the bathroom to hang things and they include a small broom and dustpan. Other than that it was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

What an absolute wonderful campground. The trees are lovely, the spaces are wide open, and it's just a wonderful relaxing place. Not your typical KOA by a long shot. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

Everything was wonderful. Great to have the cookhouse since there is not much at all in the neighborhood. Beautiful, clean, shady places, great pool and very conveniently located to visit Badlands NP.

Great place. Staff was really nice during our stay and the site is so close to the Badlands! Be sure to check out the night sky program at the park, so you can figure out what that green laser in the sky is.

Front desk lady was very rude. We showed up 20 minutes early and our site was ready but she still charged us an additional $10.40. The maintenance crew was driving around leveling the gravel making so much noise I couldn't even talk to my husband. Prices in the Kamp store where extremely high. Paying over $100 a night and having the staff make your stay worse was just terrible. We left early.

Extremely helpful camp host! They were so helpful upon arrival, guided us to our site and even brought firewood for our campfire. They told us about everything available at the campground and were always waving and smiling when they passed our site too.

Wonderful place, Many amenities, Large staff to take care of any needs. This is the place to stay near the Badlands NP. The campgrounds in the NP are totally out in the open, whereas the KOA has many trees for shade. Great place for kids. HIghly recommend.

Just an overnight, but great place stay in the heart of The Badlands. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great facilities with room to roam. Will definitely recommend.

The site was very nice and the included pancake breakfast helped us start our second day in the Badlands early and well fed. The showers and bathrooms were very clean and check-in was easy and flexible, which was helpful as we were on a cross-country road trip and timing wasn't always exact.

Excellent location. Mature park with shade trees throughout. Level sites with convenient hookups. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food (limited menu) prepared on site - we had breakfast and dinner while there. Glad we stayed at White River. Would go back again.

I absolutely loved this nice little park. We didn't use the amenities because we came to visit the Badlands. We spent several days sightseeing the park and it was very much worth the time and money to stay here. Everyone we met was super friendly and welcoming! Grant it, I'm writing this review a year later, but it's still fresh in my memory! Thank you for such a wonderful site and a great vacation spot!

Wow! We arrived late and so happy to find a beautiful site. Very clean, quiet campground. Highly recommend if visiting the Badlands area. We spent 3 days and it was a great experience. Highly recommend the breakfast pancakes!

3.5 stars - CABIN A/C UNIT DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. It was a very hot outside (99) but for the price of cabins, the property owner(s) needs to invest in adequate units that are larger and work for weather extremes or store industrial fans for open window air movement. Getting up every two hours, to kick start an a/c unit, after being on the road for twelve hours, is NOT fun. :( The employees/management are very nice and the property is kept very clean. Bath-house (near) cabins was sparkling clean, which is always a big plus.
