Beautiful park. Loved the river and lake! Everything was very clean. Staff was SUPER FRIENDLY! The store was well stocked and even had cute shirts and hats. Everything was perfect. Easy to get on and off the highway. We loved it and will be back again. And again the staff... they were AWESOME!!!!

We always enjoy KOA East Asheville.......Centrally located.....nice folks that manage it and lovely grounds for walking. Bathrooms at any campground are really used, and it is hard to keep them spic and span, but KOA East does a good job.....the bathrooms could always use a little TLC.

Fantastic KOA located minutes from downtown Asheville and even closer to the awesome town of Black Mountain. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Loved the grounds.

Very clean. Somewhat crowded but it is the fall in the mountains so its to be expected. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed the planned activities for the kids .

Our site, #1, is beautifully situated on the lake and beside the brook. The site was wide and close to the bathroom. This KOA was great with a very nice walking path around the lake. Loved it!

We liked the site we were on. You were very accommodating to get our group on sites together. Our problem was that the K9 Kamp was very small and way too close to the road. We did enjoy the walks around the lakes and watching the geese, ducks and cranes!

Campground & facilities are well kept, & there are some lovely sites on the lakes and river. Lots of green space & good walking areas with the dog. We requested a lakeside site, however - a stretch to call D10 (or D1-12) lakeside, as they are on a swampy end of the smaller lake. Only complaint - gravel access was very dusty, and drivers were inconsiderate of speed & raising dust.

Employees were nice and greeted us with care, the campground is in a good location and lots of family friendly things to do. The sites are TOO close to each other, absolutely no personal space.

Beautiful campground and is kept up well. Enjoyed all the Halloween activities for the weekend. They even reminded you of things you needed to know by text message. There was room to roam and walk without feeling all cramped up like most campgrounds. Grandson really liked it there and wants to return. Will definitely be back soon!

We loved the campground and activities over the weekend. We will be back! We had quite a bit road noise in our spot in section A overnight which disrupted sleep. Also showers and bathhouse could use an update.

Had a great time. Been awhile since our last visit because of covid. Staff very helpful and helpful. Great site. Loved the sound of the trains. Wished we could have stayed longer.

The campground is nice and clean. We enjoy the creek front area. Kids looked like they had a lot of fun participating in the Halloween activities. The only problem is bathhouse showers lose hot water and suddenly turn ice cold. This happened during our last stay in the summer too.

We stayed the 1st week of October. The sites were close together but that wasn’t a real problem for us. The RV park is well maintained and there are many things for adults and kids to do in the park. The only negative was when we were guided to our site we told the gentleman we would need help backing in to our site but after showing us the site he left. Another RV person ended up helping us.

Beautiful spot, loved the walk around the lake and the camp fires at night. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Loved that for a small fee, a pump truck came and pumped the tanks before we left. Nice main store and outside wears decorated for fall and festive!

Really nice campground. Doesn't have the same space around campsites as a state park would, but it was really nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Very easy reservations and check in process. Bathhouse are very clean and the grounds are well kept.

This place is so well-maintained and beautiful, it's a little oasis right off the highway. Perfect place to stay while hiking and exploring the area. The staff is so nice and helpful. Just do it, make your reservation and have some fun in arguably the best part of the NC mountains!
