We had a lovely stay. The staff were top notch and friendly, the grounds were clean, the amenities were perfect for a long weekend with our daughter. The sites were easy to back into. The free activities were a pleasant surprise! The pool was refreshing and the perfect depth. We had a blast fishing in the pond. Lots of good memories made this weekend.

We have visited this KOA two times in the past for July 4th holiday. Our prior visits were amazing. This visit we expected to be different post hurricane. The pool area, bathrooms, check in are all perfect. The tent sites still need additional care. We do mis the sites by the lake but i understand the natural disaster that occurred. The way a staff member treated us will make us never return.

Very well maintained tent site. Staff was welcoming and extremely helpful, even while preparing to close the office. Will stay here again.

Still struggling to recover from the flooding so some repairs are incomplete. Don’t appreciate that if you don’t pay to pick your campsite, that you are placed almost as far from the showers and restrooms as possible, despite an almost empty tent campground

This is an outstanding park. The facility is spotless. The staff which with we delt (Christy and Andy) were very welcoming and helpful. The marshy lakes were an unexpected bonus. It was a wonderful place to walk and see birds, wildlife, and plants. There were many activities planned but we were not able to attend as we had other things planned in the area. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!!

We stayed at the Asheville East KOA in our little 13' Scamp in the Tent campground. What a great experience! No problems with the site, and staff was wonderful! They go above and beyond to maintain clean facilities, empty trash, answer questions, and accommodate your needs. The shower/bathhouse in our area was spacious and always clean. This KOA's location can't be beat, and we'll return!

When we arrived the gentleman at the front desk was so helpful. The views were breathtaking, all of our tent neighbors were quiet, bathrooms were clean. We’ll be back!

Everything about our stay was great - the check-in folks were friendly and helpful, the bath houses were cleaned very frequently, and the tent sites were well equipped. We appreciated having electric and water at our tent site, and the mulch was nice and soft. We didn't attend any of the events over Memorial Day weekend, but it's great that there are lots of activities for families.

Though it rained a lot, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. The bath house stayed clean and secure which I really appreciated! We didn't participate but we received notifications for all the activities that were happening around the campground! Sounds like there was a lot of fun to be had!

We had a great stay at the KOA East Asheville. Tho was honestly our first KOA as we normally tent camp at state parks. We loved the amenities and so did our 5 year old. The bounce pillow was a hit. The staff was amazing. Eric, Andy am pretty much every person working there was so friendly. We’d definitely go back! Only downfall was the tent sites are so close together so very little privacy.

Great facilities and clean. If you tent camp, the property sits right next to a trailer park and can be noisy at times.

I loved the Asheville East KOA campground. Very well maintained. Clean rest rooms. The staff was very friendly and supportive. Lot of good tent sites to choose from. I would always recommend to family and friends.

I loved this campground. Check in was easy, bathrooms were great and had brand new showers. My only complaint is that you can still hear some traffic at night. However, that has to do with its proximity to the city which is also a pro. Overall I would come back.

Loved it. A year after Helene devastated this area and they have rebuilt phenomenally. The tenting area was wonderful and clean - fresh grounds practically. We broke in the fire pit and had a great two nights with close vicinity to a great washroom. Staff was friendly, welcoming and pointed us right to our spot and shared information about the weekend ahead. We had big plans but they were amazing.

Amazing campground! We had a great time here. We arrived late at night without a reservation and easily found an envelope with an available spot - everything was smooth and hassle-free. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Solo tent camper. Great location and wonderful campsites! Bath house is nice and clean and plenty of hot water. So happy they’re open again and will be definitely be back!

Stay was wonderful! All 4 kids had an amazing time mining, riding bikes, fishing, hiking and participating with activities. All staff were friendly and helpful. Will be back!

This is a KOA campground not a hotel so I didn't rate the "rooms". We've stayed here for a week for a number of years (except when it was hammered by the flood) actually we were there the month previous to the storm. I will make comments about our 2026 stay. The campground is on the way to recovery. They are doing everything possible to provide campers with a great camping experience. We are camping a class A with a pull behind car. We stayed down on the river. (Saw lots of birds this year but no bear like last year.) The staff are very service oriented. We enjoyed taking our dogs around the lake over the bridge. Its not all open yet but gives a good walk. It was enjoyable sitting outside enjoying coffee with no mosquitoes (were from Florida). The campground has done a lot for the kids. It was great to see families doing stuff outside together. This is one of my favorite campgrounds and we will be back in 2027. I want to thank the owners and staff for their hard work getting this place going forward to be the premium campground it was before the flood. ( my opinion)

So great to see the Asheville East KOA back up and running after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Talked to the new owners and they have plans for additional cabins in the future as they continue to rebuild. Our stay in the Deluxe cabin was great. The kitchenette was super useful with 4 burners, microwave, large refrigerator, and sink. Plus they had a Keurig coffee machine with a few Kcups for free. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser. Great outdoor deck with table and rocking bench. Kids loved the fire pit area. Will definitely come back and stay again.
