The staff is amazing. The woman in the office is very smart, engaging, and informative. The grounds are looking great. I can't wait to see what is to come. Helene hit them hard, but they are coming back better. Campsites are really level, and utilities are perfectly placed.

Excellent winter camping experience. The portion of the campground open for the winter months is perfect. All services are available and easily accessible, including WiFi that actually works. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a great time. The staff was friendly. Although there was a lot of devastation to the campground looks like they're making a great comeback. The area that we stayed in for the most part was brand new.

Everything was smooth, from arrival, to service to departure. The entire team seemed very grateful to have us. It was an awesome stay and we look forward to being back.

Had a wonderful stay at KOA Asheville East! Doug and Lisa are great managers and the whole staff was very nice and helpful. The coffee trailer was fantastic and I was glad to see it there. They not only supplied my morning coffee, but my afternoon fancy iced latte too. The coffee trailer folks were very friendly and make a great coffee! I am so happy to see this campground making a recovery!

A simple well run operation. Helpful polite staff, clean level site, dog friendly and great location. We will be back. I prefer this to the KOA west, noisy and unlevel.

Weekend getaway with visiting son. Convenient location for all we wanted to do in the area. Nice campground with all the amenities we needed for the stay. Great WFi to watch a football game. Thanks.

This is one of our favorite KOAs. The property is beautiful with the river running through it, and the sites are well-kept. The staff is friendly and helpful, and willing to do everything they can to make your stay better. We cannot wait to see this campground rebuilt to its pre-hurricane setup.

Just an overnighter but the front office staff was great. We were escorted to our site and everything checked out before he left and we were out in the morning easy peasy. We’re planning to use Asheville East KOA on our return trip also.

It's the middle of winter, so not a lot of people. The staff were excellent. The layout of the campground was cozy. Beautiful area!

We have been visiting this park since 2018, and it remains one of our favorite spots in Asheville. The atmosphere is consistently serene and peaceful, making it a perfect retreat. It's excellent for dog owners; there are plenty of walking trails, and the dedicated dog park is always clean and has great lighting. The park staff is outstanding. They are friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Understand that the campground is slowly recovering from hurricane damage. Happy that some of it has reopened. Looking forward to more redevelopment in the future.

We were just passing through, and were very pleased! Great location, clean well organized and the office was very nice and friendly. Rebuilding after the hurricane and doing a great job.

Incredibly friendly staff. All new electrical boxes after storm. Well maintained. Ten minutes from Biltmore, stores close by, Blue Ridge Parkway access right there. Very pleasant stay will be back in spring.

Very friendly staff. Our pull through was a bit short requiring us to park in visitors parking but it was close by. Propane was competitive and convenient.

We needed a full hookup site close to Biltmore and NC Arboretum. East Asheville KOA was conveniently located for both our excursions. The sites are level and very reasonably priced. Check in was a breeze! Shopping and restaurants are within a few minutes drive in either direction if the campground. Definitely look forward to staying here again in the spring.

The grounds were beautiful and clean with amazing views of the mountains. The staff were so friendly and kind. I saw them constantly working to maintain the grounds or helping fellow campers. Will definitely book here again in the future!

Our site was at the perfect spot along the river and the neighbors were exceptionally friendly and helpful. This was our first time and everyone was very friendly and helpful! The atmosphere was picture perfect and quiet time was also well observed. Would highly recommend East Asheville KOA for new timers and old!

So glad to see this campground has been rebuilt. We had a nice stay! The only negatives were the sound of leafblowers every afternoon and the firepit that is hard to manage (having no air flow in the bottom really slows down fire-building). The little coffee shop on the grounds is terrific! That's a great amenity.

One of the best KOA stays we've had. The rebuild after the hurricane is impressive, full resort-level property, not just a patch job. Great location too, close to Black Mountain for shopping and food, Asheville nearby, and an easy trip to Mount Mitchell. Our site backed up to the river, which made the stay. Great view, hammock out, dinner by the water most nights. Pool was a hit with our kids, playground is new, bathhouses were always clean, and wifi actually worked well for a campground. Staff was constantly out helping campers and keeping things running smoothly. Would put this near the top of any KOA in the country. We'll be back.

We just wrapped up a stay at the KOA east of Asheville and it's one of the best campground experiences we've had. The rebuild after the hurricane is impressive. What they've brought back is a full resort-level property, not just a basic patch job. The pool was a highlight for our kids, the playground is new and well thought out, and the bathhouses were clean every time we used them. Wifi was solid the whole stay, which isn't something I usually say about campground internet. Our site happened to back up to the river, and it made the stay. We had a great view of the water, set up a hammock, and ate dinner by the river most nights. If you can get a site backing up to the river, do it. Nearby Activities: Black Mountain is a short drive and has good shopping and restaurants if you want a break from the campsite. Asheville is close as well, with even more food and shopping. We also drove out to Mount Mitchell, the highest point east of the Mississippi, for an easy day trip from the campground. What stood out most was the staff. They were constantly working, helping campers check in, and keeping the property running smoothly. Whatever they're doing to build that team, it's working. We'd put this near the top of any KOA in the country and will be back.
