The ladies who checked us in were fabulous. Even gave us a list of things to see while we were in the area. The camp was spotless and vey well maintained. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.

It was difficult to see the aftermath of the Hurricane. What has been done so far is very nice and hopefully the entire campground can be restored soon. Doug, the GM went above and beyond to help us when the awning wasn’t retracted and it hit the light pole. Were it not for Doug and his crew, I don’t know what we would have done! Awesome staff!!

All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The showers/bathrooms we used were very clean and well maintained. Walking around the campground was nice with some views of a stream. It was quiet and peaceful and close to Asheville and Black Mountain which we visited while in the area.

I can’t imagine what you went through with the flood. A2 was beautiful and the staff friendly and busy. Great comeback….

This KOA is still recovering from Hurricane Helene, and so far what they have done is just lovely. The riverside spots are still beautiful. The staff was great and the amenities are all we needed. We got in a little past 5, and Andy saw us pull in. He made sure we knew where we were going, and was very welcoming.

Very disappointed that the pool was not opened. Called before checking in and was told they were working “around the click” to get it painted and working. Did not see ANYONE working the whole time we were there! Paid for amenity’s that I did not receive nor was compensated for it!!

Not enough words to properly complement the people and facility! Excellent! Beautiful! Happy people! Good time in spite of rain.

We enjoyed a very nice overnight stay. Check in could not have been any easier and the lead to the site was perfect. This would be a good place to stay to explore the forest more or downtown Asheville.

Absolutely beautiful job rebuilding. The sited are level, the staff pleasant and helpful. VERY close to the Biltmore and downtown, easy in and out. The Swannanoa River runs peacefully through the camp and is soothing and fun to play in. Looking forward to returning!

Staff is friendly and helpful. They have worked hard to get this campground up and going again after Helene! The weekend we stayed they provided a benefit breakfast for Kids Fighting Cancer- extra special effort again by all involved.

Nice, clean, updated campground. Nice to see the rebuild after Helene. Weekend staff especially Christy & Andy super helpful. A word of caution-the beautiful laundry & showers require a code. If you check in after 5, you'll have to ask another camper for the code if you need to use either prior to the next day. For security purposes they do not provide the codes to the paperwork awaiting you.

Really enjoyed the stay the staff was wonderful and always looking to speak or stop by when they seen you out and about. We wish we could have seen this campground before Helen just hearing all the other campers talk about made me understand why the staff is interactive and looking to be engaged with everyone. We didn’t have the best weather but we did have the best staff providing us with ideas

We enjoyed the campground, although the weather didn’t allow us to take advantage of the setting. The staff did a great job of trying to keep all activities going in spite of the weather. We will be back.

The campground has suffered more damage than we could have imagined. They are doing their best but it will take time. The activities were good. Would like to have seen another larger bath/toilet house in the camper area.

This was a great weekend for our young Grandsons! A lot more activities the campground offered for them than before. No swimming yet in pool but river was accessible for wading or floating. Hope soon there will be fishing in ponds as they are slowing filling back up. Just wish Bingo was still being offered on Sat nights. But still Had a Great Stay/Will Be back Soon!

Supporting the KOA during their hurricane Helena rebuild. Things are looking good and I know the staff are working hard on trying to things back in order.

The staff was super nice and helpful. We went on a holiday weekend and while we were there a few things got cancelled due to weather and/or maintenance but they really went above and beyond to make up for it. Activities all weekend long and the text communication was so helpful to keep up with everything! Thank you sooo much for everything!! We will be back many times!!

Two night stay along a stream site. Staff was courteous and helpful. Back in site was easy to set up in (23'Sprinter).

Nice site on the river. Very clean. Friendly helpful staff. Fun large bouncing bubble in playground. Close to Black Mountain 10 minutes and Ashville 20 minutes. Worth a stay.

Just a quick getaway

It will be better when the shower house down hill is open. Staff were very friendly.

Well run campground with super helpful, friendly staff. Facilities were very clean and looked well maintained. Close to a ton of sight seeing adventures in the area. The campground is on a fairly busy 2 lane road. The noise was not bad on the weekend, but could be an issue during the week if you are sensitive to that type of thing. And they had an ice cream social on Saturday that was awesome.

One of the best KOA stays we've had. The rebuild after the hurricane is impressive, full resort-level property, not just a patch job. Great location too, close to Black Mountain for shopping and food, Asheville nearby, and an easy trip to Mount Mitchell. Our site backed up to the river, which made the stay. Great view, hammock out, dinner by the water most nights. Pool was a hit with our kids, playground is new, bathhouses were always clean, and wifi actually worked well for a campground. Staff was constantly out helping campers and keeping things running smoothly. Would put this near the top of any KOA in the country. We'll be back.

We just wrapped up a stay at the KOA east of Asheville and it's one of the best campground experiences we've had. The rebuild after the hurricane is impressive. What they've brought back is a full resort-level property, not just a basic patch job. The pool was a highlight for our kids, the playground is new and well thought out, and the bathhouses were clean every time we used them. Wifi was solid the whole stay, which isn't something I usually say about campground internet. Our site happened to back up to the river, and it made the stay. We had a great view of the water, set up a hammock, and ate dinner by the river most nights. If you can get a site backing up to the river, do it. Nearby Activities: Black Mountain is a short drive and has good shopping and restaurants if you want a break from the campsite. Asheville is close as well, with even more food and shopping. We also drove out to Mount Mitchell, the highest point east of the Mississippi, for an easy day trip from the campground. What stood out most was the staff. They were constantly working, helping campers check in, and keeping the property running smoothly. Whatever they're doing to build that team, it's working. We'd put this near the top of any KOA in the country and will be back.
