Like always a great place to camp. Nice level, clean sites. Here is where they shine.... during our stay a bad storm developed. Staff were GREAT sending text info about the storm. Storm got worse & they indicated to go to bath house for shelter. Staff member (Sandra) was there directing everyone what to do. They had radios & kept in touch with main office staff. Sandra was fantastic - great job!

love the lazy river. a second regular pool would be nice for the size of the campground as it gets really crowded at times. my husband and grandkids love fishing from the back of our camper. just wish the golf cart rental fee wasn't so high. I've never paid more than $70 for an overnight rental before--over $160 is extremely high.

Roads are narrow, trees over roads need trimming (too low for tall rigs) gate card wouldn’t work.

We had a deluxe cabin and it was relatively good. Our friends had normal cabins and both are in need of some attention. We dealt with some of the inconveniences we did not expect. The biggest disappointment came when we went to get ice cream and were informed it was closed. A group came in while we were there, complained about not getting ice cream and were promptly served. We will not be back.

Our family has been coming to Hogback Lake for 40 years. It's huge now, probably the biggest KOA we have stayed at, but lots to do. Happy kids, great lake, decent facilities.

We had a nice site on a fishing stream. We had problems with the grill catching on fire when my son and I tried to use it. I called the office, they sent staff to our site, who took the grill. They brought a replacement, that was a piece of junk. Broken and would not heat past 200, you can't cook on such a low temp! It ruined our camping weekend and cooking.

We have been coming to this KOA since 2020 and I have to say the grounds keeping and pool definitely need some attention. The pool specifically- you could not see the bottom very cloudy, layer of dirt all along the edge. There was definitely a pH/ Chlorine issue- there was no smell of chlorine whatsoever. The weeds around the grounds and pool in some places were waist high. Just disappointing.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our pool is tested on site three times daily and independently weekly which is reported to the state for compliance in excess of standards. During times of high bather load especially when people come straight from the lake water can experience temporary clouding. Thank you for your feedback.

The cabin is dirty, outdated, and needs maintenance. There was no ladder for our small children to use for the top bunk. I also couldn’t shower them, because the water would hit the wall above their heads. There were several areas with visible water damage, and a foul odor. The cabin was dirty upon our arrival. Our picnic table bench was corroded and broken, almost injuring one of us.

Pretty campground with plenty of things for the children. They have remove one playground. Stayed 11 days and had no internet the entire time. Had to go to town for internet. Lost water for one day.

We camped here a few times &this visit was the worst! The grounds were not well kept, picnic table was rotted, pool & pool deck were not clean, staff was rude, my daughter was charged $30 to come pick up the boys at our campsite before a terrible storm(ridiculous), golf carts were out till midnight with blaring music & honking. Rates went up & the park is no way worth the rate! We won’t be back

What an amazing campground! The grounds were absolutely beautiful, and our site was wonderful. The staff at check-in were amazing, super friendly, and more than willing to go the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. My father-in-law and fiance stayed in one of the cottages on-site, and my goodness, it was beautiful! Clean and well set-up, I highly recommend a stay at this campground.

Overall good stay. Our cabin was right across from the barn/pool the DJ playing on sat. Was loud and we had children trying to sleep.cabin was not cleaned the best but that would not keep us from coming back.

Staff definitely needs to learn how to deal with the public, not a one of them were friendly. Our site had ants everywhere, the grills need cleaned/updated. A majority of the seasonal people were extremely rude acted as if they owned the place. Not one of the top camping places on our list.

Been coming here for a few years-The park grounds are in the worst shape I have ever seen. It is clear that there is no pride in ownership anymore. Lake float is basically deflated, bushes and trees need trimmed, pool area needs weeded and cleaned, sites overgrown, chipmunks EVERYWHERE,pond overgrown and full of weeds, everything needs trimmed. PLEASE get the grounds under control- Was my fav park

We love staying at this KOA! We really enjoy the lazy river. The only issue we had, was all the big kids pushing the littles off the floats out in the lake. I had to yell at some kids. They pushed a boy from the very top of the slid off and almost landed on my son, he also landed on his back which was very painful for him. There needs to be better monitoring and less people out on it.

Not a KOA atmosphere. Employees are not friendly. Say hello or thank you. No response. Way too many golf carts. Party campground. The pool is too small for such a large campground. Teenagers jumping into small lazy river. No one to enforce any rules. Will not return.

Tons of seasonal sites, seasonal campers were very friendly. Lots of golf carts. The fishing pond was not very well maintained. Very tall. Grass made access. Hard fishing pond was full of weeds. Pool and lake amenities were great.

I want to love this KOA it is near home .BUT It is poorly managed and not kept up well BUT charge premium rates . The whole beach is full of goose poop Bathrooms are not cleaned regularly ( I camped right near one and observed) Cabins are dirty . Trash dumpsters were overflowing with trash are located right next to the pool , bounce pillows and lawn games and the stink was unbearable !

We absolutely loved it. Will recommend and also return. There was a lot for the kids and enough options to keep everyone entertained. It is large enough that it could use another pool though. Can’t wait to come back, and we will remember to book a golf cart earlier so as not to get a junky one.LOL, thanks for accomodating us.

Campground was nice however the trash pick up needs to be increased to bi- weekly as we could easily smell it when outside. When we dumped our trash smell was nauseating. Also the sewer connection was ridiculous. You can’t empty your tanks uphill! Site has been recapped multiple times. We advised office when we left of issues. Received a “I just work here comment”. Fix issues = 5 stars

Nice campground. Well maintained, sites were level and large enough for our 42 foot fifth wheel. Very nice pool area and beach on lake hobach. Only negative was proximity to busy road. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Staff was friendly and efficient. Our assigned site has a pole interfering with slide. Had to park forward to clear pole, then couldn't reach sewer. WiFi & grandson enjoyed pool & game room.

Sewer had no screw in threads,Garbage overflowing Fri-thur before emptied & stunk horrible by our site, Pool was filthy all week, Site wasn’t clean prior to arrival broken wheel chock all over it, WiFi was horrid except in back by seasonal!! The basketball court not easy to get to with all the seasonal sites around it, one of the playgrounds torn out no notice, lack of employees anywhere unfrend

We enjoyed the cabin, pool, lake, golf cart and playing corn hole! A fun time! Lisa at the front desk was a joy. We appreciate professionalism. There was one weird thing- the cabin holds 8 (per web site) we made reservations for 6 people BUT THEY ONLY GIVE YOU TOWELS FOR 5 PEOPLE. WE ASKED for more and were told there were no more. 6 people shared 5 towels for 2 nights.

I took 7 grandkids for a 3 day stay. They had a blast! Everything was good. I would recommend a couple of small changes. The cabin sleeps 8. There should be enough plates, cups, glasses, etc for 8 people. Also the stovetop is infernally under powered. Using it was very very frustrating. The timer on it was fine but both burners were very weak and took forever! Loved everything else!

Trash was overflowing from dumpsters and terrible smell coming onto our site. When we inquired on Wednesday when trash would be picked up and that it was overflowing the response was simply trash pick up is Thursday and it is what it is attitude. No apology and no attempt to remedy situation. Tons of dog poop throughout green space and dog park. Counted 3 dead birds and 1 mouse decaying in grass.

Bathrooms were not great, but got there in the evening so after a long day, we were happy to have a place to rest. Tent camping meant cars driving into and out of facility shined light into tent often but the lazy river and pool were lots of fun (small but my teen and I had fun). BYO pool rings!!! Vegan restaurant in town was excellent

Very friendly people and a store with all kinds of unique items! The park is clean with many things to do for all ages. This is a large park! The lake is awesome!! The cabin was great! The bed mattress was perfect for a great night sleep. We loved our visit and plan to return in a few months to enjoy summer time activities!

Campground is very Clean, Nice & quiet! Love the little pond behind our RV you see the coy & other fish swimming. Only downside is the hard water just change your filters more often.
