The art-deco-inspired Brokaw Movie House first opened its doors in 1931, boasting a single screen, 50-cent admission, and space for 600 viewers. Since then, much of the original interior has been restored to its former glory, with ornate decor and plasterwork that remind guests of the classic movie-going experience. Guests can purchase affordable tickets to new and previous releases, with a concession stand serving popcorn, nachos, pizza, and other cinema staples.

Lake James is the largest of Steuben County's lakes. It is known for recreational activities which include horseback riding, trails or walking and biking, and a clean beach for swimming. In the winter months, Lake James is popular for ice skating, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and even toboggan rides!
Angola Motor Speedway features a 3/8 mile, high-banked asphalt track set on 78 acres in eastern Steuben County. The restrooms, kitchens and stands have all undergone a complete renovation to help ensure the track is family-friendly. Enjoy the race from the comfortable grandstands or from one of the private luxury suites located in the tower.

The Brokaw Movie House is a vintage 1931 first-run movie theater in downtown Angola. It has recently undergone major renovations, which include two movie screens with digital projectors and surround sound, along with modern leather seating and tables. Menu items include beer, wine, pizza, hot dogs and nachos, as well as popcorn, candy and fountain sodas.

Just a short drive from our campground, you will find the town of Shipshewana. As the third largest Amish community, this town is rooted in Amish history and culture, which the locals share with millions of visitors each year. Be sure to drop by to enjoy shopping at the Midwest's largest flea market, a bevy of handcrafted wares, delectable food and festive events your family will never forget.
Pokagon State Park, nestled on the shores of Lake James, is a picturesque 1,260-acre park nestled in extreme northeast Indiana complete with hiking trails, beaches, an interpretive nature center, cross country skiing, boat rental and guided horse rides.
Pokagon is also home to the state's only refrigerated toboggan. The newly-opened Trine State Recreation Area is also a part of Pokagon State Park. The 186 acres are steeped in natural and cultural history. Easy to moderate trails offer hiking opportunities and when there's enough snow, a large sledding hill is open.

Many beautiful exotic animals are raised in captivity. When these creatures become displaced and need a place of care and refuge, Black Pine Animal Sanctuary is there. Black Pine houses over 60 species of mammals, reptiles and birds, including bears, tigers and enchanting primates. This organization exists to provide these animals with a place of comfort for the rest of their lives and educate visitors about conservation and responsibility toward wildlife.
