Every employee that I spoke to was super nice! Especially the ladies in the store. Really enjoyed our stay. Only suggestion….. the nature trail is not marked very well. I went on a hike with my dog and got a bit lost…. GPS helped me find my way home…. But so lovely back there.

Clean, well-organized areas, friendly staff. It is a great location and a wonderful KOA to camp in. I have used camp sites, the small (no bathroom cabins) and the bigger cabins with a bathroom. You get a good deal for what you pay for. I have been coming for 25 years, this last time was even more amazing than all the other times.

This was my first KOA stay and I am impressed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They escorted me to my site, guided me in backing into the space, and helped me connect to the electricity. I am a relatively new camper and really appreciate any help I get. The showers and restrooms are well maintained and clean. The site they put me in was quiet, shaded, and backed up to a forest. Love it.

The Capitol KOA is well laid out & maintained. The staff was extremely helpful & nice. Our only complaint was the constant noise from the highway traffic surrounding the KOA. It was non-stop, which made the experience not very serene. If you want to visit DC, this KOA is a great option; however, if you want a peaceful camping experience, you may want to look elsewhere.

there was a problem checking in about my size of camper with trailer even tho i explained my length when i made the reservation. they put us in a site that would be difficult to get out of . luckily the site next to us was empty and we could back up and cut through that site to avoid the trees when getting out. The staff at the KOA where very helpful and attentive.

Hey Folks, we stayed for two days,park staff were excellent. My best experience was in the last night when I watched a little girl picking up sticks and small twigs and placing them in the fire pit as if she wanted a fire. So I called the office and asked if I could purchase some firewood for her and her mom. When the staff delivered it, then cameback with free s'mores. Great People...

If you arrive after Sunset the roads are dark with no lights. I had to get outof the MH with a flashlight to see the street name. Missed my turnoff first time through.

We had a great stay this weekend. Our campsite was nice and level and the staff honored a request we made when reserving. Everyone we encountered was super friendly and the grounds were well maintained and clean! I just wish they had they ac cranking in the bathhouse/shower (I’m sure it was fine for normal people). We stayed the weekend for the Ren Fair and would def return to stay again!

Everything was great. I would only say that the stone walkway behind the main building to the bathroom was lacking an upgrade to steps without the stones to slip on in the middle of the night.

Stayed for a wedding in the area, the campground was clean quiet and friendly. The only negative I would say are the campsites are a little close together, but not a big deal. Many people were there to visit Washington D.C.. the train station was not that far away.

Staff are nice and very helpful. Lower level is great. Lots of activities for kids and nice grassy areas with paved roads. Stayed on lower level last year. Would stay again on lower level. Upper area was not pleasant. No grass at all (difficult with pets), just rocky sites. No place around our rv that a one year old could walk on, and gravel roads uneven and difficult to walk on.

I wish more of the sites had grass. We stayed in a pull-through 30 amp, full hookup. Our site, like many others, was entirely gravel.

Staff was helpful and friendly. The site with the patio and barbecue gas grill was especially nice and the grill was very clean. Our site #10 was a little too close to the neighbors so I would pick a different spot next time. Beautiful campground!

We had a really brief, but nice stay at this KOA. Just two nights while we visited Six Flags America. The site was comfortable and had everything we needed. We arrived late but they had our check in information in their late night box ready for us, and were even kind enough to drop off our bundle of wood the following morning. My only minor gripe was that we couldn’t move the fire ring.

Should have told people with reservations that a lightning bolt blew out the wifi for 2 months now. I want a refund. Lovely sitting in the woods with no cell and no TV. Try ut yourself.

This is a nice campground. The staff are very nice and helpful. I lost my keys and Chris found them for me and is holding them while I make arrangements to have them shipped back to me. I greatly appreciate the front desk help in this matter. I have stayed here two other times in the past and would stay here again. The camp store is stocked well and they offer some cool artistic items for sale.

This KOA did not disclose added fees for .pets per night and just charged our credit card! I asked why this was not disclosed when I made the phone reservation and received a shrug and no clear response. Our site was more gritty sand than gravel making it muddy when a small shower came through. The only good thing about it was its proximity to metro into DC. We were in space 27 & had power issue

Nice KOA we have stayed several times. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Campground and facilities are always clean and neat. Only issue was several dryers were out of order or only producing low heat. Campground staff uses laundry for KOA needs so have to plan around their use as well. This seems to be pretty normal but can be an issue when several machines are not working properly.

We had a small water leak with our water line entering our camper. Phoenix stopped by and gave us some her time to help try and fix the leak. She was a nice helpful employee of the campground.

Nice campground with a huge pool, perfect for a cool down after touring DC all day. Location is close to the Marc Penn train station, Odenton. Nice dog run area and woods walking trail. Staff were extra nice too:)

I don't normally leave reviews. What I can say about KOA is the staff is wonderful, and the grounds are well kept. My only complaint as the size of the site that we were given. We have a 32 foot motorhome, and no matter where I put the motorhome on the Pull through site, there was not enough room to park my car behind the motorhome. It was a good thing that the office was right across from me. I could park my Jeep there overnight. My only other complaint, due to the width of the site, my neighbor's sewage hookup was extremely close to the corner of the picnic table (see photo). If you were looking for a site with more room, I suggest you go down the hill. Again, Great people, clean park, nice amenities for the kids.
