It is very convenient to stay at Capital KAO while visiting friends. I saw that you are investing money to beautify the store building. I would suggest you work on leveling the sites. That is such a desired aspect to camp sites. Having to use wood blocks under tires to level the RV is such a pain.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our site was huge and fairly level. We definitely enjoyed our stay! Also, though we did not participate in anything, I did enjoy that you send text messages to keep the campers updated about any activities that are going on. That’s a nice touch!

I had a wonderful time. I was also hit on my bike in DC and was hospitalized short term and the camp was wonderful in understanding and assisting me. The staff there are like family! The campground is nice, clean, and fabulous!

The spots could use some grading to make them more level, we had to move from one spot to another. The caban that was directly behind us , someone came in very late the last night , a jeep 2 kids and parents, they must have left vehicle running with music playing whilst moving into cabin, I feel like the spaces are all bunched up , they charge more for what they call premium, but there isn’t a d

Love that capitol is close to our friends, family and areas we like to frequent. We visit regularly. Glad to see upgrades to the office, grounds and the pool being renovated. I will not mark the koa down for the people who do not pick up after their pups. This location has recently started charging ($2/night/dog) I picked up 2 piles a day minimally - people - do better!

Office staff were friendly and helpful. Relatively close to MARC train, which we used several times. Laundry machines charged more than they were supposed to (staff was aware). Even though there was a 5 MPH speed limit, long-term campers went WAY faster, with very small children around. Lots of barking/snarling dogs, including one that belonged to an office staff member.

Our visit at the Washington KOA was good but when we went to leave the driveway was blocked with campers extra cars just setting in the driveway I feel that the driveway should be kept clear not just for people who want to leave with their camper but also for EMS and firemen

We got to our first site and the electric was messed up. They tried to fix it but could not, they immediately moved us to another site, Took very good care of us.

Only have 6 washers & 6 dryers. I had to wait my turn even though it was off season. To top it off what was really disappointing was that when my clothes were in the dryer the KOA employee took up 4 of the 6 washers to do the camps laundry from the cabins.

Too far outside of Washington DC - A shuttle to the nearest train station should be provided - even if campers had to pay a couple dollars to use it. The pool not in working order. The "store" had limited supplies. We were looking for something to cook for supper our first night - but no hotdogs, no hamburger, no eggs, no bread, nothing but candy & chips.

The staff were very friendly and attentive. Every part of the premises was well cared for. The daily text notifications of activities were quite inviting if you were looking for group events. Our stay was most enjoyable. Thank you.

This was a wonderful site nestled away in the woods with a beautiful campus. Offered a serene setting but plenty of sites for kids and families to have fun. Nice clean bathrooms, showers were small but better than some places I’ve been. Office and grounds staff were friendly and helpful. Place is well kept. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come again!

Perfect location between DC and Baltimore. Easy access from highway. Everything needed from groceries to dining to rv shopping available in the area. Staff is great!! Site was perfect for our size, level, and well-maintained. Nice dog park to keep the pups active.

We are from Europe and for the first time with our european motorhome in the US. We were looking for a campground and found this Koa Campground, however we can't give a rating as it was our first stop. Anyhow, ewerything was fine for us, registration, people was very friendly and helpfull, the pit (for place), the connection to water and electricity and distance to lavatory and toilet.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds to stay in. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Everything is kept very clean. I appreciate their presence around the campground. We will definitely be coming back again soon.

Staff friendly. Showers and toilets clean if you use (Toilet did back up on me) Location to train station convenient Location is VERY car/truck NOISEY as it is just off of the highway. Nature trail was nice. If you are looking for a good location to venture into DC or Annapolis this KOA is a good choice

We stayed on night pretty early in the season. Not many amenities at this point. Washington DC is actually about 30-45 minutes away with traffic, but there is a train station nearby that will get you in quickly and cheaply. Lodge was nice and had a lot of offerings, showers and bathrooms were clean. Campsites were "ok" - clean and organized, but not much more.

A quick drive from Philly. Our family of 5 had a great time during our Spring Break. We used the campground as a middle spot between DC & Baltimore which was perfect. Campground was clean and had all the things that make us love KOA’s: playground, jump pad, free events for kids, and a beautiful nature trail. We will absolutely be back.

Nice campground with a huge pool, perfect for a cool down after touring DC all day. Location is close to the Marc Penn train station, Odenton. Nice dog run area and woods walking trail. Staff were extra nice too:)

I don't normally leave reviews. What I can say about KOA is the staff is wonderful, and the grounds are well kept. My only complaint as the size of the site that we were given. We have a 32 foot motorhome, and no matter where I put the motorhome on the Pull through site, there was not enough room to park my car behind the motorhome. It was a good thing that the office was right across from me. I could park my Jeep there overnight. My only other complaint, due to the width of the site, my neighbor's sewage hookup was extremely close to the corner of the picnic table (see photo). If you were looking for a site with more room, I suggest you go down the hill. Again, Great people, clean park, nice amenities for the kids.
