Cabin heating didn't work properly. Website did not properly advertise how limited the campground would be for the cold months (jumping pillow deflated). When we asked for someone to refill the propane tank that was listed as available for the grill, the man who came to do it was rude and condescending. Also, said slept 8, but didn't state that walkways were blocked when you had that many.

Fun Halloween weekend

We enjoyed our stay during Halloween weekend. Our kids had fun going on the hayride and trick or treating around the campground. Our deluxe cabin was comfy. The staff were very friendly and helped us when we need additional toilet paper and coffee.

We had another great stay at Capitol KOA. The annual Halloween weekend did not disappoint (even with the new management team).

We have for several years scheduled a stay at the DC/Capitol KOA for a Halloween weekend with the grandchildren. The campground does a great job of putting together activities for kids, including blocking traffic for an hour on Saturday evening so the kids can safely trick-or-treat at the campsites. And most of the campsites are decorated and passing out candy.

We stayed end of October so I can not comment on the pool issues. We had a cabin and upon arrival (10pm) the cabin was warm and super clean. Staff were all very respectful and prices both at the store and cabin fees were reasonable (offseason). The staff were above and beyond amazing. WIFI is trash and the HYWY is loud BUT that was our only issues. 10 out of 10!

Great location. Very clean. Ease of check in and key return. Although we didn’t have available time, there are many activities that looked great for our family to do on site.

We rented a cabin. The only thing was the distance to the showers/restroom. Otherwise the cabin and grounds were fine. Good burning firewood and friendly staff.

I love being able to bring my dogs with me when I travel. I felt very comfortable leaving my chihuahuas in the cabin while visiting the MD Rennasaince Faire. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were lovely.

We LOVED staying at Capitol KOA. We found the facilities extremely clean and the staff incredibly friendly/helpful. We came with a large group for RenFaire and everyone in our group was very pleased with this campground. My husband, son and I stayed in a rustic cabin which was perfect for a couple and a baby.

We enjoyed staying in the rustic cabin. Weather was cool and we cooked over the fire pit. Enjoyed basketball, bounce pillow and pedal bikes. Staff was friendly and campground was clean! Great time will come again!

We were disappointed with our stay at this KOA. The cabin we stayed in was not swept out well so there were bugs on the bed posts that fell on me when in bed. We were told we could only have 1 vehicle at our cabin but other people add two cars. It sounded like there was a race track nearby so it was very loud at night. There were loud campers that went on way past 10 o’clock. We will not return.

I was very disappointed when they put my kids in a cabin away from us, when I specified that we wanted to be together and was very disappointed they didn't do it.

When booking (2 months prior), we asked for our group to be placed together. We were essentially told that this would not be possible, however there were two available cabins near our group that we could have been booked in. This was a real inconvenience and put a damper on our experience. I think you all should be more amenable in your approach to customer service and accommodation.

The KL4 deluxe cabin was good, but there were some minor concerns: 1. It smelled funny, maybe from pets who were there previously (we didn't have any animals). 2. The big pot has a loose handle (please fix it, or replace the pot). 3. An additional in-cabin container for recyclable materials would encourage recycling. Also, the recycling bins outside do not have one marked for cardboard / paper.

The TV didn’t work in the room, lights didn’t work some of the dishes were dirty and they need to say the pool is closed for the season. The pillow was deflated. Other than that it was pretty and relaxing

The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a cabin. Although rather full, the campground was peaceful and beautiful and we felt very safe. we enjoyed the nature trail.

Booked a rustic cabin. The smell coming from it was so foul you could smell it outside. The front desk guy let us go in other rustic cabins to see if any of them smelled any better. They were putrid. All of them. We couldn’t pay the extra $120 for a deluxe cabin, so we had no other option. We slept in our van next to the cabin. The owner was called and could care less. Paid to sleep in our car.

I stayed at the newly renovated cabin. It was very nice and had loads of room. My only complaint was there are no ice trays or any way to make ice in the freezer.

Campground and facilities were clean and in good working order. Pool had a lifeguard. Jumping pillow had a friendly attendant. Was the perfect place to stay while visiting the Renaissance faire.

Very welcoming staff! Everyone was friendly, kind, and made you feel right at home. Nice spacious area, not overly crowded with RV sites.

Excellent location, close to Fort Meade, they have cottages and a tiny house, staff were very helpful. Location is convenient.
