The first 2 times we stayed there, had a good, shady site. Next 3 times in the open area that I do not like. I'm traveling with my wife and our 6 tiny Yorkies. Only 2 of them are big enough to take for a walk. Lady asked me if we had a pet. I already stated that in my reservation. I told the truth. She said that will be $12 extra for 6 dogs. Paid it. Be looking for another place next time.

Anyone who stays here will likely be aware that there are only a few campground options in the Baltimore/DC area.This KOA is just ideal! This was our 2nd stay here as just like the first, everything was great. Easy in, easy out. Friendly staff. Well kept grounds. Pets are welcome which is important to us since we are a traveling dog rescue:))) We will definitely return!

This campground is a perfect layover for travelers. Also perfect for taking day trips into DC. A friendly and quiet place.

Neighbor arrived at midnight, arguing and using power tools until 1:30 am. Other than that we love this campground and will be back next year.

I wonder about what does it take to be classified as a KOA ‘Holiday’ versus a ‘Journey’. The Staff is friendly yet they do not pick up garbage at sites. The internet is simply atrocious!! I believe that a certain standard minimum Internet both speed and capacity should be in place to be classified as a ‘Holiday’ or a ‘Resort’.

PERFECT stay, perfect site. Always our last stop on our way home. Happy not to unhook our towed vehicle for a one night stay.

Good time like usual. Staff (including lifeguard) always polite and helpful and a good time. Reasonable prices and amenities. Amenities recently being locked up or picked up due to poor etiquette/care/patrons being careless. Few issues with one bunch of transient individuals. Staff resolved. No issues otherwise.

Campground it self was well kept. People and staff was friendly. My only concerns was there was not enough to do on site especially on a bad weather day. Maybe an inside game/activity room, mini golf, or quick bite at the store would help. Some equipment was appeared to be old and worn.

Gravel spaces are not good. Too many neighbors nearby. Amenities are good. Internet is not good. Office bathrooms needs updating

This was our first visit to a KOA. The staff and facilities were both great. We’ll return on our way back from our trip.

This was our 2nd stay at this campgrounds. We have stayed here both times coming back from our longer trip to the South. The staff was great and look forward to staying there again in the future!

We never have issues here but this time we did. I never knew or had been asked about the amount of people staying at the cabins with my family & never been charged for extra people. That caught me by surprise this stay. Thought it was handled but the person who called me to told me it was not & I needed to pay, showed no empathy about it at all. We won’t be back.

Awesome location and campground although it is often the people that perfect the stay! The Staff at Capitol KOA is by far the best I have met from coast to coast in any campground. Wanda, Dan, Doc and Chris made our stay the most favorite experience in three years of full time RVing. This was not our first visit, certainly will not be our last and we will tell and bring all our friends too.

Pulled into a clean friendly campground. Host was welcoming, site was wide enough for our 4 slides, tow fit in back of rig. Cute items in camp store, showers clean and lots of beauty surrounding campground. Large trees and bushes. Take your own trash but dumpsters were full. That's my only complaint. We will return if ever in this area.

My stay was nice, one big plus is it is very easy to get the train into Washington DC, too take in the sights.

Personal were friendly and Professional. Didn't use much of the amenities due to being in DC each day. Pool table needs to be refinished. Park was clean and quiet. Better for a family rather than a retired couple.

Nice pool, Workers were very nice, the merchandise at the store was reasonably priced, bathrooms were clean and showers were very nice. Two things we'd change is that the Hiking trail should have some signs throughout so you know you are going the right way and they should have some organized activities at night at the pavilion ,especially on Saturday, but we would still stay there again

We have stayed at this campground twice and really like the campground and the people that work there! The only problem has nothing to do with the campground itself, it's the traffic and trying to get to it. Both times we have had nerve-wracking experiences in the traffic on our way in. Obviously there is nothing to be done about that, just wanted to say that is the ONLY problem we had there.

Very welcoming staff! Everyone was friendly, kind, and made you feel right at home. Nice spacious area, not overly crowded with RV sites.

Excellent location, close to Fort Meade, they have cottages and a tiny house, staff were very helpful. Location is convenient.
