A New Family Tradition at The Lights of Christmas at Virginia Beach KOA Holiday!

Few things spread joy and cheer like the sight of twinkling Christmas lights. A new drive-thru light display is coming to Virginia Beach!  Virginia Beach KOA is proud to welcome you to our first annual holiday extravaganza - The Lights of Christmas.

Enjoy thousands of lights in elaborate displays throughout the campground, all synchronized to your favorite holiday tunes using your car radio. After the show, the fun has only just begun, because included in your ticket price is admission to the Christmas Village.

Begin new traditions by joining us at the Christmas Village for activities the whole family will love. Buy from local food and gift vendors, enjoy delicious hot chocolate around the campfire, and lots more to kickstart your holiday season with Christmas cheer.

Mark your calendars for the Lights of Christmas at Virginia Beach KOA. Here are four reasons to make this unforgettable experience a part of your plans this season to end 2020 on a positive note.

1. Lights, Lights, Lights

As you drive through The Lights of Christmas, you’ll see hundreds of thousands of lights dancing along to holiday music you can enjoy from the safety of your car. Spot familiar scenes of Santa’s helpers busy at work, angels leaping for joy, and a breathtaking tunnel of lights.

2. A Towering Christmas Tree

Spot the biggest Christmas tree in Virginia Beach while you’re driving through the show. Towering at 40 ft. tall and dancing along to your favorite tunes, this tree is a sight you don’t want to miss.

3. The Christmas Village

After the light show, take time to visit the park for a classic holiday experience for the whole family in the Christmas Village. You can buy from local food and gift vendors or purchase a pre-cut Christmas tree for the family. Kids can write letters to Santa and send the letters themselves using our North Pole mailbox, and might even see an appearance by Santa himself! Be sure to come in your holiday best to take portraits for family Christmas cards at our festive photo booths. Stay warm at our community campfires, and even roast marshmallows for s’mores or grab a delicious cup of hot chocolate.

4. Warm the Streets Drop-Off

The holiday season is a wonderful time to make charitable donations. When you come for the show, bring new/gently-used coats, blankets, and non-perishable food items to help those suffering from homelessness in our community. Warm the Streets is run by a Virginia Beach KOA employee, and is dedicated to helping local homeless persons in need during the holiday season.
