Mark your calendars for the Lights of Christmas at Virginia Beach KOA. Here are four reasons to make this unforgettable experience a part of your plans this season to end 2021 on a positive note.

1. Lights, Lights, Lights

As you drive through The Lights of Christmas, you’ll see hundreds of thousands of lights dancing along to holiday music you can enjoy from the safety of your car. Spot familiar scenes of Santa’s helpers busy at work, angels leaping for joy, and a breathtaking tunnel of lights.

2. A Towering Christmas Tree

Spot the biggest Christmas tree in Virginia Beach while you’re driving through the show. Towering at 40 ft. tall and dancing along to your favorite tunes, this totally unique tree is a sight you don’t want to miss.

3. The Christmas Village

After the light show, take time to create a unique holiday experience for the whole family in the Christmas Village, right in the middle of the Lights of Christmas. You can buy from local food trucks like Sissy's, and a variety of gifts made by local artisans. Kids can write letters to Santa and send the letters themselves using our North Pole mailbox. Check the schedule -- they might even see an appearance by Santa or the Grinch! Be sure to come in your holiday best to take portraits for family Christmas cards at our festive photo booths. Stay warm at our community campfire, and even roast marshmallows for s’mores or grab a delicious cup of hot chocolate.  New for 2021 - horse-drawn carriage rides!  Reserve your spot ahead for this delightful treat at the Lights of Christmas website, https://www.thelightsofchristmasvb.com/.

4. Charity donations for Care Camps

The holiday season is a wonderful time to make charitable donations. This years charity is Care Camps https://koa.com/care-camps/.  Your gift to KOA Care Camps will help provide the opportunity for a greater number of special children to enjoy camping experiences and help them to remember what it’s like to “just be a kid.”
