The staff was amazing, they were so kind and helpful. The facilities kept clean, and always stocked. We really enjoyed the games offered and just had a wonderful time overall. Thanks for making our family trip so much fun!

Stayed in a tent site for 2 nights. Very clean well kept campground. Staff was very nice. Hot showers and warm clean bathrooms available.

The staff were accommodating, kind and welcoming. Inviting our kids to do a painting craft was super exciting for them, and we love when they get a chance to meet and play with new kids.

Very friendly area , awesome communication access with us which that we are deaf and had asked them they had awesome service to talked to us back what we needs or show where . And bathrooms are so clean wow ! Slept well ! Yes we will come back again !

Great location and very clean. Was very impressed with the service and how well the camp ground. They also had a playground for kids. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family.

Quiet hours were not enforced at all. This campground might be ok for those staying in an RV, but for those of us in tents there was very little quiet or sleep. Other campers were up past midnight partying, drinking, talking loudly or shouting, playing music, riding ATVs with loud engines, and bright lights. Some revved their very loud truck engines anywhere from 3 - 4:30 am.

Tidy campground, easy check-in, pretty clean (especially for such a busy season!). Paul was so friendly and great with the kids around at the pancake breakfast.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The grounds were well maintained and stocked. I am already planning a return visit next summer, I will be here two days.

I am not big on the feel of parking lot camping but wanted to give KOA a try. After speaking with the GM and discussing what we wanted in our stay, she picked us one of the best spots for our stay. I will say, I was impressed and enjoyed our stay, we will be back! We even rented the Ebikes and that was a blast!

The stay was wonderful with beautiful views and very friendly staff ! My only complaint was the bundles of wood available for sale were all wet. It took some time to get a fire going . But other than that our stay was great and we will be back next month!

Had a great stay over 4th of July weekend! The campground is conveniently located just outside Valdez and everything we wanted to do was no more than 20 minutes away. The site was fully booked and busy for the holiday, but the staff stayed friendly and upbeat, and kept the grounds and shower facility looking great. We'll definitely be back for another stay, thank you!

We arrived at the KOA in Valdez 10 minutes before closing time without a reservation and was taken care of by Lori the General Manager. Lori was an absolute delight. She was very helpful and informative along with having and outstanding personality. KOA is blessed having her as a member of the KOA team.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Valdez KOA. The bathroom/showers were clean and welcome after each day of exploring the Alaskan outdoors. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had several interactions with Dale who was very accommodating and kind. Highly recommend and we will definitely stay here again.

Our first two days were great, since the area around our tent wasn't crowded. The last two nights (especially the last one, when there were 3 tents, 2 cars and 5 loud children under 7 five feet away from us) were more congested. We needed to catch the 7am ferry in the morning. We normally never camp in campgrounds, but the showers and bathrooms were great and this stay suited us very well.

Payed for a tent campsite because I was driving a camper van and in no need for any hook ups. Self sustained. Just enjoy KOA for tthe safety, showers and laundry…I was given a site right in the middle of the complex! No privacy! There was ample availability of other tent site on the perimeter with semi grass/gravel parking spots for cars; didn’t quite understand her logic for putting me there?

Other than the long walk to the bathroom from the tent site, it was great. Can't blame them for the rain, it's typical Valdez weather. Staff was very welcoming and kept the grounds and bathrooms clean. Will recommend to friends visiting Valdez.

Great Campground with Great People. Lori and Jim L are very friendly and helpful. Both very knowledgeable of the area and things to see. My go to place in Valdez. Bathhouse and Showers were very clean. Spacious and quiet sites. Great communication. My favorite KOA.

Staff is incredible. It was pouring ran the whole time we were there so we did not get to enjoy the grounds but the bathrooms were among the cleanest I have stayed in (and it was muddy outside too)!

Arrived late and could not find site assignment, but otherwise everything was great. Well cared for and safe site. Plan on staying there again.

The price was too high and can’t cancel within 24hr ($10 even if you just made res). You are charged extra for a child who’s over 6 with one adult at camp site. The lady was nice enough to allow the child to be free after speaking to her. The tent location for our campsite was extremely close to next campsite’s fire pit. It was clean with running water, showers and a grill. Quiet location.

Our family stayed during opening weekend 2026 and had a wonderful time. As it was opening weekend and the campground had recently made some improvements, we had a few minor issues the first day of our stay. That being said, the staff here is amazing and will treat you like family. Our cabin heat wasn't working properly and within 5 minutes of us reaching out they were knocking on the door with a space heater (even though it was after hours). The couple other minor concerns we had were addressed just as quickly and professionally. I highly recommend staying here. It's nice to be off the beaten path but close to everything as well. This place truly cares about your experience so if you have any issues- TELL THEM! Issues can always pop up anywhere you stay but this place will address your concerns quickly and with the same level of care they would a family member. 10/10 recommend. We will be staying again for sure!

Selena made our stay! We came in late and were super tired. We drove down from the Dalton and were in dire need of rest. Selena instantly made us feel at home, safe, and comfortable. The next morning she helped us to rent e bikes to take into town and we had an amazing time! Thank you for the recommendation and an awesome experience. I would highly recommend this stop! Thank you Selena for one of our best memories of Alaska!

Great campsites with picnic tables and fire pits. Their on-site laundry and showers are great. The showers in particular are in-door and heated as well as very clean (compared to other locations we've visited). Their staff is quite helpful and accommodating - they even saved a cinnamon roll for us, since they knew we'd be late getting back from our morning excursion.
