Valdez KOA is located at MM 2 on Richardson Highway. Go approximately 1 mile past Dayville Rd; campground is on the right.
Late arrivals with a reservation, please check the office/General Store door for a map to your site and campground information; proceed directly to your site using the map. For After Hours arrivals without a reservation, please follow the instructions on the night registration board located on the porch of the office/General Store.

While there is so much to see and do outside of the Campground, you might just like to take a break and enjoy some of the fun things available inside. We've not forgotten the Kids either. We have an awesome fun Playground for them, as well as, for your four legged kids - a K9 Park play area, which is fully enclosed. Traveling with Family and Friends? Take advantage of our Community Fire Pit area. Roast marshmallows, sing songs or challenge each other during a Horseshoe Pitching Game. All of these fun things to do come with a mega dash of majestic views of the Chugach Mountains that surround the Campground.
The history of horseshoe pitching can be traced back to Roman soldiers. During their idle hours, the soldiers occupied themselves with games that consisted of tossing metal rings over stakes pounded into the ground. Whether these first metal rings were actually horseshoes is a matter of some debate. Enjoy a fun game that is suited for all the family and enjoyed by many men, women, boys and girls.
Located at the back of the Campground is this fun Playground to keep your kids busy. Sit under the canopy and enjoy watching them have fun. They may just make new camping buddies while there.
Our fully enclosed park playground for your four legged friends can be found at the back of the campground. There are supplies available at the K9 park for those little accidents, we just ask everyone to pick up after your Pet and keep the gate closed.
All our sites have a fire pit or fire ring. We even have portable fire pits. Firewood is available at the office. Relax, unwind at the end of your day and take in the mountain views while roasting marshmallows for your S'Mores.
