Very clean and well maintained. Many amenities. Took the camping out of camping when you can order prepared food to your tent. Sites are just on top of each other. Spot for neighbors tent was four feet from ours. Very uncomfortable. Expected more for the rate.

My family and friends had such an amazing stay at the Valdez KOA that one of us booked another trip as we were checking out! Lori was such a personable and nice host the whole weekend. We were very pleased with the communication throughout our stay on reminders and other campsite information. The bathrooms were always clean and I appreciated the quiet hours. Can't wait to return!

I do wish there was another playground, so many kids on one that my little ones were not able to play because the big kids. I also Wish that over by the tent area there was a bathroom.

Lori was the very best!! She went over the top to be welcoming and accomodating. All the staff was wonderful!! Loved the grounds and very clean. We had a GREAT time and experience! Cannot wait to come back in a month or so.

Great KOA! Loved the setting. Clean bathrooms that have toilet, sink and shower for individual use, is perfect. The wifi signal is not strong at camping areas, but who needs wifi when enjoying the beauty of Valdez? Only drawback is the campsite proximity to the Highway. Otherwise, a grand place to stay! The hostess was very helpful!

Clean showers and bathrooms, beautiful views, and quiet shaded campsites. We will never stay anywhere else in Valdez.

Well run camp ground, super convenient location. The staff are awesome people. Mosquitoes are tough. Bring a screen house or head net its skaska.

Friendly, Comfortable, Clean. Staff go the extra mile (They helped me to get my vehicle "unstuck"). Best campground experience in my many years of camping.

Staff-- helpful --campground neat and clean but what stood out in my mind was the attention to the bathrooms in this time of covid-- after living in alaska for 50 years I have come to expect lack luster service and amenities -- the Valdez KOA met high standards for any campground facility in the lower 48

The campground was easy to get in and out of, and we loved the trees and natural fauna. The hosts were extremely accommodating and the restrooms were exceptionally clean and nice. We will definitely stay there again when we go back to Valdez, and will look for other KOA campgrounds in other areas.

We Love Valdez KOA. We stay here every time we come to Valdez. It's a ways out of town but it is quiet and beautiful. Very spacious camp sites, clean, the staff is extremely friendly. I would reccomend this place to anyone and everyone. Thank you!

Loved everything! Well laid out with amenities that was super helpful for tent camping with kids. While COVID sucks, they make adaptations that keep the fun going despite regulations. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Everything was great. No issues and the on site facilities were very clean. The waffle place is amazing and should be continued business on the site. Overall the camp site was clean and ready for setup. Staff was very friendly and communication was superb. Highly recommended and will stay here again next time camping in Valdez.

Our stay was great! We had never stayed at a KOA campground, usually we don’t stay at any campgrounds because we don’t want to be near anyone but we were pleasantly surprised to find that we actually liked staying at a KOA campground very much!

The campground was very nice. Great accommodations. Beautiful scenery and the upkeep was the best I’ve seen. My first time visiting Valdez and KOA was a great part of my visit. I will be returning next year! Great job!

Stayed in one of the tent sites and it was great. Love the space and privacy of the campsites. We had a black bear mom and cub trying to get in the dumpster through the night, so that was also cool!

Our family stayed during opening weekend 2026 and had a wonderful time. As it was opening weekend and the campground had recently made some improvements, we had a few minor issues the first day of our stay. That being said, the staff here is amazing and will treat you like family. Our cabin heat wasn't working properly and within 5 minutes of us reaching out they were knocking on the door with a space heater (even though it was after hours). The couple other minor concerns we had were addressed just as quickly and professionally. I highly recommend staying here. It's nice to be off the beaten path but close to everything as well. This place truly cares about your experience so if you have any issues- TELL THEM! Issues can always pop up anywhere you stay but this place will address your concerns quickly and with the same level of care they would a family member. 10/10 recommend. We will be staying again for sure!

Selena made our stay! We came in late and were super tired. We drove down from the Dalton and were in dire need of rest. Selena instantly made us feel at home, safe, and comfortable. The next morning she helped us to rent e bikes to take into town and we had an amazing time! Thank you for the recommendation and an awesome experience. I would highly recommend this stop! Thank you Selena for one of our best memories of Alaska!

Great campsites with picnic tables and fire pits. Their on-site laundry and showers are great. The showers in particular are in-door and heated as well as very clean (compared to other locations we've visited). Their staff is quite helpful and accommodating - they even saved a cinnamon roll for us, since they knew we'd be late getting back from our morning excursion.
