Not enough showers or bathrooms. Had long waits for others to complete their business…otherwise great hospitality, friendly staff, quiet and well kept. Near Valdez but not in town.

We love, love, love the Valdez KOA. The staff is amazing and we starting coming due to Lori’s perfect personality and taking such good care of us. Now we are lifers and will be back every year

Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The campground is extremely well maintained. During our stay, it was quiet and other campers were respectful of the rules. We have already made reservations for 2026.

The sites were too small and the restrooms/showers were substandard. They were, by far, the worst KOA restrooms/showers I have ever been in. I hope they’re up-dated ASAP because KOA members deserve much better! The staff were extremely helpful and a delight!

We had a three night stay at the Valdez Alaska KOA. The grounds were clean cut and well organized. There is a large area where the kids can play and run all that extra energy off! This campground has just about everything you would need for a great weekend. So if you want a first class place to take your RV toys, I recommend the KOA in Valdez Alaska. Great people and fun times to be had by all.

The camp site was very nice - the bathrooms were not very clean - we did not take a shower - laundry room worked well for us.

Valdez KOA is an amazing spot for RVing. We love that it is located just out of town and away from all the hustle and bustle. Love that there is a bike path that goes for miles just outside of the campground. Also close by is the fish hatchery which is a wonderful place to watch the sea lions feed on the fish. Clean and quiet is always the reason why we keep coming back to this KOA site.

It was a very clean and quiet campground. Great location and great views. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I'm giving it 5 stars all the way and will definitely stay there again. We had a great experience. I definitely recommend this KOA.

We have stayed in many KOAs I got the Paw Pen site so dogs could walk around. We went to office to place a trip for next day and was told we could not leave our dogs unattended we said there not going to be out side they will be in our trailer. NOPE you can’t do that they might bark so we lost a day moving to a different park so we had one full day. You need to put that in your ad

We expected to have water hookups but found out they could not be used. I would have expected a rate reduction for this inconvenience. We went to a gas station to fill our tank. Otherwise, it was a good stay. Showers were dated but clean. It is not within walking distance to Valdez. Very quiet and overall a good place to stay. Could not rate it higher due to the water issue.

Wonderfully taken care of camp, the staff did a great job and our stay there was amazing. The fenced in pet area was clean and well maintained.

The park was clean, family-friendly, and well-maintained. The lots were level and easy to set up on, and the bathrooms were spotless. It’s in a great location with plenty to explore nearby. We’ll definitely be back!

Guest services are amazing, bath/ showers are older but always in great shape. Staff always a call every you need them.

Spaces are too tight. We have a 28 ft. trailer and by the time we put our slides out there was no room to use the fire ring as people on both side and behind us was too close. We had to move picnic table in order to have room to park our truck. The lots on the outside are better and will request on of those in the future. Facility was in good shape otherwise and hosts were friendly.

We have stayed here for many years. We love its location. The camping spaces have always been the best in town. Progress and growth are decreasing their size and making it uncomfortably close!

This is a wonderful KOA as a base for exploring Valdez. Clean, well-kept campground. They have plans to update laundry room but it is clean & functional. Loved the trees, Mountain View, dog park and walking/biking path that goes all the way to Valdez. We are so glad we stayed here and not at the gravel parking lots in town.

Our family stayed during opening weekend 2026 and had a wonderful time. As it was opening weekend and the campground had recently made some improvements, we had a few minor issues the first day of our stay. That being said, the staff here is amazing and will treat you like family. Our cabin heat wasn't working properly and within 5 minutes of us reaching out they were knocking on the door with a space heater (even though it was after hours). The couple other minor concerns we had were addressed just as quickly and professionally. I highly recommend staying here. It's nice to be off the beaten path but close to everything as well. This place truly cares about your experience so if you have any issues- TELL THEM! Issues can always pop up anywhere you stay but this place will address your concerns quickly and with the same level of care they would a family member. 10/10 recommend. We will be staying again for sure!

Selena made our stay! We came in late and were super tired. We drove down from the Dalton and were in dire need of rest. Selena instantly made us feel at home, safe, and comfortable. The next morning she helped us to rent e bikes to take into town and we had an amazing time! Thank you for the recommendation and an awesome experience. I would highly recommend this stop! Thank you Selena for one of our best memories of Alaska!

Great campsites with picnic tables and fire pits. Their on-site laundry and showers are great. The showers in particular are in-door and heated as well as very clean (compared to other locations we've visited). Their staff is quite helpful and accommodating - they even saved a cinnamon roll for us, since they knew we'd be late getting back from our morning excursion.
