The staff were accommodating, kind and welcoming. Inviting our kids to do a painting craft was super exciting for them, and we love when they get a chance to meet and play with new kids.

We expected to have water hookups but found out they could not be used. I would have expected a rate reduction for this inconvenience. We went to a gas station to fill our tank. Otherwise, it was a good stay. Showers were dated but clean. It is not within walking distance to Valdez. Very quiet and overall a good place to stay. Could not rate it higher due to the water issue.

Wonderfully taken care of camp, the staff did a great job and our stay there was amazing. The fenced in pet area was clean and well maintained.

Stayed in A-frame, very adequate and as advertised. Staff was helpful. Good location with more room than campgrounds in town.

Very friendly area , awesome communication access with us which that we are deaf and had asked them they had awesome service to talked to us back what we needs or show where . And bathrooms are so clean wow ! Slept well ! Yes we will come back again !

Great location and very clean. Was very impressed with the service and how well the camp ground. They also had a playground for kids. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful!! All requests were handled in a cheerful manner! Facility is maintained very well. I will return in the future!

Quiet hours were not enforced at all. This campground might be ok for those staying in an RV, but for those of us in tents there was very little quiet or sleep. Other campers were up past midnight partying, drinking, talking loudly or shouting, playing music, riding ATVs with loud engines, and bright lights. Some revved their very loud truck engines anywhere from 3 - 4:30 am.

Voltage was at 116, but site was perfectly level. Newer looking picnic tables.

Cabin was awesome as always to include the staff that any boss would love to have. Check in was easy and anything asked for or questions was answered and fixed. Can’t wait to be back next year!!

Tidy campground, easy check-in, pretty clean (especially for such a busy season!). Paul was so friendly and great with the kids around at the pancake breakfast.

The park was clean, family-friendly, and well-maintained. The lots were level and easy to set up on, and the bathrooms were spotless. It’s in a great location with plenty to explore nearby. We’ll definitely be back!

I am not big on the feel of parking lot camping but wanted to give KOA a try. After speaking with the GM and discussing what we wanted in our stay, she picked us one of the best spots for our stay. I will say, I was impressed and enjoyed our stay, we will be back! We even rented the Ebikes and that was a blast!

The Deluxe Cabin was comfortable, clean, and cozy for my weekend stay in Valdez! The main town is only a 10 minute drive, making it a convenient location.

Spaces are too tight. We have a 28 ft. trailer and by the time we put our slides out there was no room to use the fire ring as people on both side and behind us was too close. We had to move picnic table in order to have room to park our truck. The lots on the outside are better and will request on of those in the future. Facility was in good shape otherwise and hosts were friendly.

We have stayed here for many years. We love its location. The camping spaces have always been the best in town. Progress and growth are decreasing their size and making it uncomfortably close!

We rented a trailer for our time in Valdez and it was the perfect option. We were three adults in town to fish, and the trailer was perfect with a fridge/freezer to put the fish after packaging. It was also nice to not have to haul all the gear in and out of a hotel room.

Cabin was very nice and comfy. Only thing that could have been improved would be a small folding table with two chairs to sit and eat inside when it’s raining outside and you can’t use the picnic tables.

Thank you for a great stay! We so appreciated the friendly lady that helped us with checkin, the clean restrooms, available firewood, and our dog really enjoyed the paw pen site!

This is a wonderful KOA as a base for exploring Valdez. Clean, well-kept campground. They have plans to update laundry room but it is clean & functional. Loved the trees, Mountain View, dog park and walking/biking path that goes all the way to Valdez. We are so glad we stayed here and not at the gravel parking lots in town.

Nothing special. It was mostly quiet as far as the road noise goes but a complaint had to be made to to the office to get an employee to enforce their barking dog rules, despite employees passing by and ignoring the nuisance. All in all, the facilities were clean and maintained, the staff was pleasant but the sites were really close together.

The stay was wonderful with beautiful views and very friendly staff ! My only complaint was the bundles of wood available for sale were all wet. It took some time to get a fire going . But other than that our stay was great and we will be back next month!

This was our fourth visit to Valdez KOA. Lots of amenities and constant improvements. Easy access to town. Staff are always friendly.

Great stay overall. Received a $2.00 charge that was not itemized despite not consuming any items from the “mini bar”. In general, mini bars are not something I want in the room because the lack of accountability on the inventory. The proof is on you. Show me the before and after inventory photos and tell me why I am being charged.

Site 1 the hookups are where the front of a rig would be, not sure why it’s designed this way I think site 2 was the same way. This caused us to have to buy a 5 foot extension to sewer hose for $40 in office there.

Had a great stay over 4th of July weekend! The campground is conveniently located just outside Valdez and everything we wanted to do was no more than 20 minutes away. The site was fully booked and busy for the holiday, but the staff stayed friendly and upbeat, and kept the grounds and shower facility looking great. We'll definitely be back for another stay, thank you!

Our family stayed during opening weekend 2026 and had a wonderful time. As it was opening weekend and the campground had recently made some improvements, we had a few minor issues the first day of our stay. That being said, the staff here is amazing and will treat you like family. Our cabin heat wasn't working properly and within 5 minutes of us reaching out they were knocking on the door with a space heater (even though it was after hours). The couple other minor concerns we had were addressed just as quickly and professionally. I highly recommend staying here. It's nice to be off the beaten path but close to everything as well. This place truly cares about your experience so if you have any issues- TELL THEM! Issues can always pop up anywhere you stay but this place will address your concerns quickly and with the same level of care they would a family member. 10/10 recommend. We will be staying again for sure!

Selena made our stay! We came in late and were super tired. We drove down from the Dalton and were in dire need of rest. Selena instantly made us feel at home, safe, and comfortable. The next morning she helped us to rent e bikes to take into town and we had an amazing time! Thank you for the recommendation and an awesome experience. I would highly recommend this stop! Thank you Selena for one of our best memories of Alaska!

Great campsites with picnic tables and fire pits. Their on-site laundry and showers are great. The showers in particular are in-door and heated as well as very clean (compared to other locations we've visited). Their staff is quite helpful and accommodating - they even saved a cinnamon roll for us, since they knew we'd be late getting back from our morning excursion.
