I especially like the clean bathrooms and showers - well maintained. Also, the campgrounds are superbly maintained. The KOA is by far the best in Valdez for atmosphere and ambiance; plenty of space between camp sites.

I and the others with me had a great time at your campground. It was well kept, bathrooms and showers nice and clean, and with a little one of 8 the playground was a blessing. She was there a lot abc made friends too. We had a dog and having a place to take him was great too. It’s the place I’ll recommend and stay each time I’m down there.

Excellent service and we will be back again next year. Any time I had a question about the campground it was answered satisfactorily. This was a last minute reservation and camping decision by us and there was space available and in the area we wanted.

We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins. Very comfortable. Cabins are being slowly renovated. The linens were nice and towels, etc. were new. My suggestion would be to improve upon the ‘fire pit’ and upgrade the TV, it was probably a 15” monitor. Mini fridge needs to be defrosted. The KOA was clean and kept up, I would stay here again.

We had to extend our stay by a day due to unforeseen circumstances. The only lodging available was a cabin normally rented for a minimum of two days. They bent over backwards for us and let us have a cabin for the extra night. Next time we go to Valdez, we will certainly stay at the KOA. Thank you folks for helping us out..

We booked the wrong size campsite. Even tho we arrived late, we texted the number we had and everything got straightened out. We ended up with a much better campsite and a place to stow our boat trailer. Everyone was VERY nice and helpful. We will be staying there every time we go to Valdez.

Staff was very friendly, the bathrooms and showers were clean and noticed they were monitored hourly by staff member. Disappointed about the WiFi, although I was given a heads up that there are issues due to weather, the back tent area is obviously out of range of the router, I would stay again at Valdez KOA.

We love the Valdez KOA. The sites are clean, there is water, power and beautiful restrooms. Also, beautiful and clean showers. We also love the pavilion outside that has both a Charcoal grill and a gas grill with a picnic table and covering should it rain (and yes, it does rain a lot in Valdez). We had a great spot but as it was raining a lot the grounds need some more gravel to make it not muddy etc. There were only 3 washers and only 2 working, and by the end of our stay only 1 was working. Cold shower the first night ( I believe they ran out of propane) Dump was full the last day. Just needs a little closer attention to detail.

Very lovely place. Clean and quiet. The folks working here are friendly and helpful. The site is very pretty with trees and good space between campers.

The cabin was very nice. We enjoyed our stay. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We liked the fact that there was a quite time beginning at 10 pm (I think). We would definitely stay at a KOA campground even if it wasn't in Alaska as we are from Virginia.

Lori and her staff are amazing! They went above and beyond with their customer service, wanting to make sure our stay was perfect. The playground was a nice added on bonus. We used the easy camping site, which was convenient, we didn’t have to bring anything but our sleeping bags. We can’t wait to go back next summer!

Laurie is a great camp manager. The sites are roomy, neat and tidy. I liked that there were lights on every other camp post, by the drive way, to help with walking later in the day. The shower house was immaculate, clean bath mats provided for showers! Everything is organized and well documented. The camp ground was quiet and surrounded by trees with mountains towering overhead. Lovely place!

All in all it was good. Small feedback at the tent campsites. You had folks all stacked next to another then a whole bunch of empty sites all by themselves. You could attempt to leave an empty space between each tent site as part of noise reduction. Not everyone is "quiet" after 10:00. I understand if it's full but there was more empty spaces than filled. Could of had 2 empty spots between campers

This trip to the KOA we found a General Manager that presented with a bad attitude. She appeared to be unwelcoming, full of accusations and possessed zero customer service or people skills. While trying to relax, We were often bombarded by spam texts, apparently sent to the entire campground community about speeding, equipment operations, pets off leash or the store/food truck being open.

The staff were great even with the tsunami advisory. They came out to all sites and gave us needed information and keep us updated the whole night. Outstanding and helped our nerves. They went above and beyond for our safety. Thank you so much. The cabin was nice and clean as well.

Manager did a good job informing campers about tsumuni warning and what and where to go if siren went off. Would like more space between sites bc we were too close and difficult to sit outside with two dogs. Manager was very accommodating and nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the deluxe cabin. Not only was it immaculate, but the beds/linens were also very comfortable. The KOA communicates effectively with its guests, and we will definitely recommend this place to other folks. You cannot beat the location —just outside Valdez and its hustle and bustle but convenient enough to enjoy the town’s happenings.

Very clean and well maintained. Many amenities. Took the camping out of camping when you can order prepared food to your tent. Sites are just on top of each other. Spot for neighbors tent was four feet from ours. Very uncomfortable. Expected more for the rate.

Our family stayed during opening weekend 2026 and had a wonderful time. As it was opening weekend and the campground had recently made some improvements, we had a few minor issues the first day of our stay. That being said, the staff here is amazing and will treat you like family. Our cabin heat wasn't working properly and within 5 minutes of us reaching out they were knocking on the door with a space heater (even though it was after hours). The couple other minor concerns we had were addressed just as quickly and professionally. I highly recommend staying here. It's nice to be off the beaten path but close to everything as well. This place truly cares about your experience so if you have any issues- TELL THEM! Issues can always pop up anywhere you stay but this place will address your concerns quickly and with the same level of care they would a family member. 10/10 recommend. We will be staying again for sure!

Selena made our stay! We came in late and were super tired. We drove down from the Dalton and were in dire need of rest. Selena instantly made us feel at home, safe, and comfortable. The next morning she helped us to rent e bikes to take into town and we had an amazing time! Thank you for the recommendation and an awesome experience. I would highly recommend this stop! Thank you Selena for one of our best memories of Alaska!

Great campsites with picnic tables and fire pits. Their on-site laundry and showers are great. The showers in particular are in-door and heated as well as very clean (compared to other locations we've visited). Their staff is quite helpful and accommodating - they even saved a cinnamon roll for us, since they knew we'd be late getting back from our morning excursion.
