Outstanding stay near Valdez. Staff was very helpful and wonderful. The bathrooms and shower facilities are one of the best I’ve stayed in. Excellent out of town location in quiet area. Highly recommend the green tea and white chocolate chip muffins! �� thanks for a great stay and weather �

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Saw them cleaning the bathrooms, what seems like almost every time someone used them. Very clean. Just wish there was a little less rain while were there.

Beautiful campground. Nicely spaced out. We did the easy-tent and it was awesome…no assembly required! The bathhouse was clean and the staff were prevalent and responsive. Can’t wait to come stay again.

Everything was great, and the hosts were very accommodating and friendly! Facilities were very clean. The biggest downside to the experience at the Valdez KOA was the noise. Had a hard time sleeping because people were pretty noisy at night, yelling and playing music at midnight, while others were up at 5am with screaming kids and slamming car doors.

We had an enjoyable time. Place is clean ad showers and restrooms are very well maintained despite that when we were in Valdez it was raining the entire time. The campgrounds personnel made our stay as comfy and as dry as possible.

Friendly, hospitable staff. Sites are level and fairly well-spaced; even in driving rain, the staff is out there doing careful maintenance. They offer free pumpout service if you don't have full hookups. Close enough to town to be convenient, far enough out to have a little elbow room. Highly recommend!

Our stay was excellent. We asked for a different camp site when we arrived. And we we accommodated. We loved our site, the bathrooms and showers were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly.

We stayed for 3 nights. The laundry facility was acceptable clean however expensive. The sites were packed together with little privacy. It has a nice play area for children and adults. The staff was is friendly and helpful.

The Valdez KOA is our favorite campground in AMERICA. The grounds are beautiful, clean, convenient location, beautiful showers and bathrooms, 30 & 50 AMP hook ups and a convenient dump station upon exit. The staff and Campground Host are EXCEPTIONAL. KOA Valdez was remarkable! The staff was very nice and welcoming. The facility was always clean and presentable. One of the best experiences me and my family has had in Alaska! Thank you for making this such a amazing time!

Best campground amenities of any campground we stayed at (and I've been camping for over 60 years). WiFi was incredible, able to stream movies. Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean bathrooms and showers. They even provided bath mats.

Great and friendly hosts and staff. Very comfortable beds. A little outside of town but much nicer and more space than the in town campgrounds. We had a good time in Valdez and enjoyed our stay here.

Our family stayed during opening weekend 2026 and had a wonderful time. As it was opening weekend and the campground had recently made some improvements, we had a few minor issues the first day of our stay. That being said, the staff here is amazing and will treat you like family. Our cabin heat wasn't working properly and within 5 minutes of us reaching out they were knocking on the door with a space heater (even though it was after hours). The couple other minor concerns we had were addressed just as quickly and professionally. I highly recommend staying here. It's nice to be off the beaten path but close to everything as well. This place truly cares about your experience so if you have any issues- TELL THEM! Issues can always pop up anywhere you stay but this place will address your concerns quickly and with the same level of care they would a family member. 10/10 recommend. We will be staying again for sure!

Selena made our stay! We came in late and were super tired. We drove down from the Dalton and were in dire need of rest. Selena instantly made us feel at home, safe, and comfortable. The next morning she helped us to rent e bikes to take into town and we had an amazing time! Thank you for the recommendation and an awesome experience. I would highly recommend this stop! Thank you Selena for one of our best memories of Alaska!

Great campsites with picnic tables and fire pits. Their on-site laundry and showers are great. The showers in particular are in-door and heated as well as very clean (compared to other locations we've visited). Their staff is quite helpful and accommodating - they even saved a cinnamon roll for us, since they knew we'd be late getting back from our morning excursion.
