The campground is very clean. The bathrooms are super clean. The staff are very helpful, always going above and beyond. The campground itself is two minutes from GSNP, and is right along the river, the water is cold and clean. This is our favorite campground.

Honestly such a great campsite the only thing that would’ve made it better is a grate for the fire pit to cook, but I’ll bring my own from now on, I thought the cook pits were standard but I guess not anymore.. anyway not a big deal I made do& the sweetest lady checked me in ( Mary I think)

Very nice and welcoming staff. Both ladies were smiling and explained where the site was. We stayed by the river and really enjoyed the sounds of nature. Clean campground.

Campground was very clean and well taken care of. Only issue I had was upon arrival, the lady who checked me in told me a may not be able to sleep in my car. I was ultimately able to but she seemed unsure of the rules. Outside of that, fantastic experience.

The stay was even better than we had hoped. An employee greated us with a smile upon arrival. The facility was very clean and well organized. The camp site was On the lil river. Incredible! A gas station and store are located at the entrance

On my list of top ten KOAs. The Creekside campsite was awesome. I really like the lighting post on all of their sites, gave me a sense of security.

Enjoy camping there, but quiet hours didn't seem to apply to some around me. Both a RV/Camper site and a cabin on either side of tent site 119 were loud and kept going until close to midnight.

We love this campground. It’s located very close to Cades Cove which is my favorite part of the GSM national park. The staff is very friendly. The facilities are clean. The store is well stocked if you forget anything. My grandkids love the playground and activities.

Third time here and always enjoy our stay. RV and tent campers. We had a river side tent site. It was a joy to listen to the river as we slept. We did use the shower facilities. Would prefer to have separate showers for men and women. It is uncomfortable bringing our young daughters into the showers with adult men lurking about.

Been coming to this camp ground for 30 years Little River now KOA. This was our first disappointing stay. Checked in without issue and told the attendant that we had firewood being delivered and she said ok. Delivery was denied entry. Parents arrived -told they couldn't pay to park near the cabin which clearly had room. Sister was told that we had to many people. 12 ppl allowed we had 11.

We love this KOA. We drove all the way back for a couple of days last week. They have so many fun activities for families, the campsite is clean, the staff are friendly, the bathrooms are nice. My one complaint and it is not the fault of this KOA, is that RV's should be required to turn their lights off on the outside of their campers at night. They are so bright to us camping in the tent.

Our campsite could have used some landscaping between sites as pictures on the website didn’t match reality I guess the river flooded a good part of that area and washed out a good chunk of the riverbank The large trees were nice as most camps don’t have that Bathrooms a good distance away Camper spots are even closer

We stayed in tent site 124. This is next to an RV site. The electrical boxes for the RV site have a super-bright lantern on top and the placement means that when it is on it will shine right into any tent pitched in 124. Our RV neighbor put it on at 10pm so he could have light while he slept in his hammock. Kept my wife and kids from sleeping. Needs fixing to make 124 a truly viable tent site.

I love this campground the one thing that I think should be addressed is the over taken of poison ivy in the common areas. I have been admitted to hospital for horrible reaction from coming in contact with it near bathhouse.

As always we had a wonderful time. After our 1st experience here back in March 2023 we have since stayed one other time and already booked a week for 2024. This is by far the best campground I have ever stayed. Its super shady with all the trees and always so clean and tidy. Great activities for the kids and loved seeing the recent addition of the Sunday morning church service. Best campground eve

We've stayed at KOA cabins in Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Massachusetts, and Tennessee, but tent camping at KOA was a first. Our family of four had the most wonderful time! Our riverfront tent site was beautiful--above the rushing Little River. The campground is wonderful--clean bathrooms, a nice swimming pool, friendly staff. Many updates were visible throughout the property. We'll be back!

appreciate the mulch on tent site. Might want to advise your guests to put rocks under firepit as the dripping embers started a fire. Staff always cordial and facilities in superb shape

Experienced tent camper. Facility was clean. Personnel nice. But density is way too high. Tents and other sites are too close together. Miserable night. Wife and I went to hotel for second night so that night cost me double. No more KOA’s for me.

I absolutely love this campground! Everyone is so nice and a huge shout out to Adam. So kind and always offering to help anyway he can. We have been twice this year and stayed at tent site 126. It has amazing views of the river and our son loves it. We refer all of our friends and family to this campground, and can’t wait to go back!! Thanks for making our vacations amazing!- The Wright family.

We love Townsend/ Great Smokies KOA. The staff is always so happy and helpful. This was our third visit and we have 2 more visits planned. It is definitely our family happy place.

As always, we enjoyed a wonderful week at the KOA Townsend! (The reason for a less than perfect score is the bathrooms were not as clean as they usually have been. Also, Lights were out in a couple of the showers and they were also not as clean as usual. Other than that, we had a great stay).

It was a good place to stay. It was bigger and busier than we anticipated, but people were for the most part not too loud. Bathrooms were nice. If we come back to the Smokies, I'd probably stay here again.
