This was our 3rd year back to the KOA! We love the smokies and KOA has made it such an easy stay to "camp" but have so many extra amenities. The entire campground is well kept and cabins/bathhouse super clean! We've stayed in #8 for 3 years! We love it! The trees have grown up a lot over the year so the view wasn't as great as previous years, so we hope to stay in cabin #8 next year!

Had a great stay. The only thing you could improve on is keep the grass cut in the dog park & common areas. It was very high in dog park.

We had a great time this last weekend as usual! The staff were wonderful they worked with us our cabin was wonderful and we always come back. They even remembered our names. Please keep up the Great work.

Campsite we were given was very small and difficult to get our rig into. Place looked nice but was less than enjoyable due to size.

We were there for 12 days and could only use the pool one time due to it being closed. The camper next to us was too big for lot. Made it impossible to use fire pit.

The staff are very helpful, getting backed into your spots and taking care of the campground. Facilities are clean and well kept. Alerts come through text messaging regarding any situations or announcements for the park.

We had a great time using Townsend KOA as our base as we explored and hiked the Smokies. Fantastic bathhouse, relaxing river, and very friendly staff. Sites are a bit crammed depending on where they put you, but otherwise highly recommended

We stayed in a DC cabin. We had ants on counter & bed . The Tv speaker was distorted could not understand. Shower was nice & AC was great, The grill was clean. Cost was as high as a nice hotel in town, will get hotel next time.

The people who run this KOA are so very friendly and always ready to help with anything! This is our 6th year to come with family and something we all look forward to. Very clean and well kept.

Love the trees and mature foliage, level lots, good WiFi. Would recommend upgrading pool to make it more toddler friendly as well as the playground. Need some toddler equipment and swings.

We had an excellent time! All the staff were very hospitable and knowledgeable of the area. Our cabin was clean and stocked with extras. All of the campers were very friendly and respected the quite hours. Very impressed.

We had a pretty good time. The people and the campground were great. We only learned that next time we will get a bigger cabin as the beds were not that comfortable in cc5. Also wish the pool would have been fixed We only got to enjoy it one day until it closed for chemical problems. Neighbors were loud after 10 and didn't like that either.

We loved our site - 116. The shade was great and the site was perfect for us. We would like to try a site on the river one day. The bath house was awesome and the restrooms were always clean. We enjoyed the pool with the grands. And the time playing in the river with them was our favorite. The greeting as we first pulled into the campground (and being escorted to our site) was an added touch.

We booked a W/E site for our 25ft Mallard tt. It was tight to get the site due to trees and site width/length. They offered us another option however it would have full hookup and we did not want to pay for items we wouldn’t use. It worked out fine and the staff was wonderful. We throughly enjoyed our stay!!

We only stayed one night but we enjoyed it. The spot along the river was lovely and I would request that site again. The pool was quite cloudy but we didn't go in it so wasn't a problem for us. Overall it was a very nice stay.

We were in site 90. It was beautiful however; there is too much vegetation taking up space in the campsite. We couldn't walk around the camp site without brushing against bushes. I feel this was the reason I got two ticks off of me and spent the weekend battling ant bites. The staff you had working were amazing and so very kind and helpful. We have already booked again just because of them.

Beautiful campground with easy checkin arrival process. The staff was exceptional and the grounds were well taken care of. We would highly recommend this campground if staying in the area.

Only thing we loved was creek access. For the price we paid, you would think it would have been more spacious in the sites.The hours for laundry were 9-5? The paper you gave us said it was 24/7. I spent 3 weeks on the road, all the way to ME, this was the most expensive/smallest space of all. Also if you are that worried about bears, secure your own dumpster better…lid came right off.

We’ve stayed here for 5 years and have loved it. This year, the showers were COLD two nights, dirty showers another night and the pool was closed a lot.

The staff were friendly & helpful. The river was great! The pool was not open until 4 pm one day and the kids waited all day to get in. The floor of the cabin I stayed in had not been swept. My sister’s cabin had a pull out couch with crumbs & dirt on it. There was dog hair under the queen bed from someone else who stayed there as well. The cabins were not as clean as they were last year.

The campground is very nice looking. However, it was not very well maintained during my stay. Dump station was out of order and I had to dump my tank in a random empty site with full hookups as directed by staff. The front office was regularly out of change for being able to do laundry since the machines only take quarters. The main bath house rarely had hot water. All restrooms were dirty often.

Sewer being pumped during dinner time was terrible, big dogs come in front of our sites 10, 11 on river side to use bathroom (terrible smell). Should designate another area. We would not walk bare foot at all in that grassy area. Our sites needed weed eating badly! Felt as though we didn’t get what we paid for this year. Been coming over 30 years (Little River Campground) and were disappointe

Staff were great but this place has turned into a trailer park (and not the good ones). People with dogs barking constantly all day. Neighbor tent campers with speaker the size of a microwave playing until 1AM!! Texted to complain about dog barking and running around with no leash, nothing done.

I generally only do reviews if things went exceptionally well because I’m an encourager. But I was thoroughly disappointed in the activity offerings over the 4th of July. We stayed Thursday to Monday and only two activities were available all of those days. For the resort prices, I’d expect resort activities and a resort style pool. We are staying somewhere else next time we come to Townsend.

The most beautiful and cleanest park we have ever stayed at Our only issue we couldn't stay longer We are already planning our next trip and it will revolve around staying here!

Nice place. Looks well maintained overall considering it's likely been a campground for many years. Lots of very shady campsites plus plenty of riverside sites. Full hookups are a plus. Staff were friendly and helpful. They came out to my truck the moment I arrived and guided me to my site. The gentleman that guided us also helped us back in. Our grass was barely tall and they asked if it was okay if they came to cut it. We didn't even notice it needed to be cut. Great campground just minutes away from the national park. Will absolutely stay again if we're in the area and need a campground. Great job KOA crew!
