This was our favorite campground we have ever stayed at! The grounds are beautifully nestled in the trees. Every site is private with shrubs surrounding them. The roar of the river sings you to sleep at night. As we walked our dog we learned that there wasn't a less desirable camp space to be had. Everyone was equally well thought out and lovely.

We rented a cabin it was so awesome the outside was the most beautiful site I would highly recommend if you want to a beautiful place to stay go to Townsend KOA.

The folks at this campground were the nicest most helpful people at any campground I’ve ever stayed. I will be going back and I recommend this site for anyone wanting to visit the smoky mountains on the quiet side.

Staff were all very nice, spacious sites, campgrounds were groomed neat and all around great location to stay right on the River. Wi-fi was excellent��. We will camp here again!!

My site needed more gravel. I had to walk in mud to hook up utilities. In a motorhome, that was often as it is our only mode of travel. I paid too much to deal with a muddy site.

Great little campground! Though we didn’t use them the playground and pool look amazing. The patio site was fantastic! Who needs the river front?

It was a relaxing week getaway! We loved our camp site, it was near the Fisheries classes/ presentations along the river! Met the TWRA staff, who were awesome from Tennessee's region 4! Our youngest son is a wildlife Fisheries Biologist in Region 3 and knew all these very dedicated TWRA guys. We also love the Mountains & Cades Cove! The staff was helpful and friendly! See you again soon!

Excellent as always . This KOA is very well kept and very well run .Some people complain about the cost of the sites but it is worth every cent . The staff are always helpful ,friendly and informative . We book from year to year

The only thing that was not great was the showers. It took several minutes for the water to warm up. It was barely warm enough to take a shower. One shower never warmed up and I ended up taking a cold shower. Other than that everything was wonderful.

Our 4-night-long Deluxe Cabin stay was wonderful. Thankfully, the leaf blowing schedule seems to have changed from almost "first light" to at/after 8 a.m. The grounds were beautiful, well-kept, and the staff was helpful and friendly. We did miss the former stone fire rings with the grill we could cook on (better flavor over wood-fire v BBQ grill). Looking forward to next visit!

The campground is great, and the staff is great, but the site fees are ridiculous. State parks with similar amenities are 1/3 the cost. I would love to recommend KOA's to my friends with kids, but have to consider their disposable incomes. After all, they purchased campers as an alternative to expensive hotels. Thanks for listening.

This is a great place to stay if you have a smaller rig, but a 35 foot TT and 3/4 ton CC was almost too long for the narrow winding park roads. There are two very narrow passages where I would have damaged my rig if I hadn't walked the roads first and practiced GOAL. The park is quiet and is next to a babbling river. The staff is friendly and helpful and the facilities are well maintained.

We enjoyed the camping cabin. Everything was nice big as complaint is the shower house is a significant walk from where the camping cabins are and the men’s restroom was without paper towels for over two days.

3rd time around - many, many years ago stayed in a camper, more recently we stayed in a tiny house a year or 2 ago and this time a deluxe cabin on a list minute whim to drive up from Atlanta. Super friendly, accommodations great, will be back in the future

Very clean and well kept campground. Magnificent views. Staff very focused on customer service. Just a little disappointed we were unable to reserve the same spot for year three.

I love the peaceful setting. The campground is very well kept. When we arrived, our cabin was very neat and inviting. The campground is conveniently located just outside the Park. This was our second time staying there. We will be back again.

The office and store are closed a lot due to staffing shortages. The dump station is not working and I had to pull into an empty site to dump. What if all the sites were full? I appreciate the nice laundry area and showers are clean and in good order. The sites are nice but all very close together and no matter where you are you are on top of your neighbors. Overall a good but not great.

My husband and I stayed in one of the cabins. It was a piece of paradise. The cabin was clean, private, and had a lovely side area with a grill, table, and firepit. The staff were very welcoming and gave great recommendations for dinner and our next day adventures. Check-in was easy and our firewood was delivered within 5 minutes. A wonderful setting and a safe place to stay.

Beautiful camp ground. Lots of both tent and RV spots. We stayed in the deluxe patio spot with full hookups. It was VERY easy to back in with the help of their friendly staff. I would definitely recommend staying here.
