RV Reviews

Clean campground with level sites, we had plenty of room at our site, and were able to navigate our rig in and out without issues. There is a river next to the campground which you can float down, and it is conveniently located for access to Cades Cove. Wish we would have spent more time, and will absolutely return. Pictures online and Google Maps do not do this campground justice.

The campground was great, had wonderful time with our granddaughter.

Staff was awesome and willing to help us find a new campsite after I made a mistake booking one without sewer. They were very friendly with our toddlers as they played in the campground.

We have stayed at this KOA for years and always loved everything about it and the location. This year we had a mix up with our reservations but it worked out. However the main bath house was dirty this year. For several days, the showers and sinks were not cleaned. We reported it to the office, and the day before we left they seemed cleaner. We will be back!

Beautiful place. Great staff. A little uneven on our site. The exit lane is ridiculous. Cut the bushes to the right of the lane so rigs can get by without worrying about scratching the rig or road.

Our stay as usual was wonderful. The only thing preventing me from eating 5 star is WiFi. The grounds was well kept and staff very friendly. We always look forward to our annual visit to Townsend KOA. One of the best campgrounds that we always visit.

After being there for a night, one of the caretakers told us that we needed to change campsites because TN state law prohibited tents on a septic site. Nothing else was said to us leaving us to think we were breaking the law. It left us worried about our situation the entire time we were there. The whole thing seemed to be someone's pettiness, that somehow we aren't the right kind of people.

Had fun, great camp site, great friendly people, great service! We will be back!

Great experience as usual! Campground was clean and had some nice landscaping upgrades since our last trip. Dogs loved the dog park and river walk area. Thanks for a great stay!

Arrived late in the evening after office was closed, a maintenance man helped us find our site and get backed in. Park was clean and we'll maintained. Landscaping makes it feel like you are in the woods even though your neighbor is just feet away.

Overall the facility has a lot to offer families. The sites are narrow making it difficult for larger campers. We have a 45’ Northpoint with 3 slides. We had difficulty setting up so we could open 2 slides on the drivers side. The exit area is too narrow to pull wider campers through. Marsha at the front office definitely needs to learn customer service she is very snippy and unfriendly.

It was one of the most comfortable and well laid out KOA’s we have stayed at. Keep up the good work!

We just needed an overnight stop to relax on our journey. I would have loved to stay longer. Everything is well maintained and the river access is nice. We will be back

Site 15 is the best spot in the campground. We love the privacy on all sides and the riverfront.

It was great we had grandchildren with us they enjoyed the activities they went to camp every morning

The campground was beautiful. The staff were very friendly ! The thing I am upset about is that the price doubled in between me booking in April and my stay last weekend. I would have never agreed to pay $280 for the little site we were on. They also doubled my daughter's who stayed in the cabin that weekend too. Not a good practice!

It's been a few years since we've stayed here. The owner has obviously spent a lot of time and money making this a first class campground. In the past there were a lot of sites that I would not want to stay on. With their upgrades I would probably be happy on any site in this park now. The river sites are still my favorite though. We will be back.

Friendly staff and awesome location - minutes away from Cades Cove! Lots of opportunity for rafting down the river, biking trails close by. So much quieter than pigeon forge abs gatlinburg makes it the perfect getaway!

This place goes up in price every year and yet the grounds are not maintained as they have been in the past. The staff is almost entirely new and nowhere near the level as previous years. i have never seen so many empty sites and i have to wonder why. i hope that you are adept at backing up your own camper because these new workers are useless in that regard.

A very clean campground. The staff was very friendly and always asking if we needed anything. Lots of fun stuff to do in and around campground.

Our site was a little tough to get in and out of. But the campground itself was amazing. Clean all the way around.

I called ahead for ADA accommodation. At our arrival my elderly father got out of the vehicle to use the restroom after as he has bladder issues. A large woman with her stomach hanging out of her shirt and an angry rash, rolled her eyes and stated that she did not know where he thought he was going. The staff from that moment on, treated us so horribly that I have no desire to ever come back.

First site was small. Moved the next day to another location it was very nice. Campgrounds were very well kept. Had a stream flowing by, nice pool. Close to a good restaurant Riverstone Spent a day at Pigeon Fiorge and a day at Gaitlanburg. Both very close to KOA Did the Cades Cove scenic drive. A must!! All in all a great place. People were very nice and accommodating

This campground is great. Most sites are shaded which is wonderful. We stayed in a site that was electric and water hookup but they have several that are full hook ups with patios and fire pits. Would definitely recommend this one. It's at the foothill of the Great Smoky Mountains. Easy access to the park and a quick, 35 -45 min or so drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is you're looking for touristic fun.
