Best KOA we’ve stayed at. Amazing staff, especially Chad & Jeff. We had to leave early due to medical issue but enjoyed this KOA very much.

Had a great time staying at the KOA in Townsend in a cabin, TN. Everything is always neat, clean, and orderly in the campground. The only negative that I could say was that the older lady behind the counter was irritated about being asked if the pool was open. Fortunately it was still open due to great weather but sign said closed in September. If she didn't like to be asked then take down sign

We came for the 1/2 Marathon. I had never stayed here before. I could not have been happier with our Deluxe Cabin! There were 4 adults and a big dog, and we lived:):):) The outside area with fire pit and grill was so nice, and the inside was very clean. We just kept saying how nice it was. Took several walks with the dog, and scoped out the lots we want when we retire with our camper!!!

Friendly staff. Debbie, Chad and Jeff were fabulous! thank you for getting us what we needed and answering our questions. Highly recommend this KOA!. We stayed in the deluxe cabin and it was perfect for us.

The cabin we stayed was very cute and had everything we needed but the mattress was not good at all. The pool was very clean and nice and the area was kept very clean ,just need new mattresses.

We had a wonderful time at the Townsend/Great Smokies KOA. My only recommendation would be to upgrade the paper products in the restroom. Scott Professional has a wonderful bathroom tissue selection. (I am not employed at Kimberly-Clark)

This is the third time my husband and I have stayed at the Townsend/Great Smokies KOA. The cabin is always neat and clean. The campground itself is very quiet and appealing. I look forward to coming back for another stay.

We stayed in the Cozy Cabins. The full size bed mattress was really uncomfortable. Would recommend bringing a mattress topper or egg crate to make it better. The kids didn't complain about the bunk beds and seemed to enjoy them. Staff was amazing. Pool was nice and clean. We enjoyed the showers and bathrooms were clean.

Rented 2 6 person cabins with quite a distancebetweenus. Had 2 cars per cabin. Were told we could only have one per site had to park across the street. No problem, until we check in and are unloading cars literally doors open carrying things in and are told twice to move the car at one cabin. In the other 2 separate men walk right up to porch withing 10 minutes to ask to move. Constant harassment.

Perfection all the way around. Peaceful, beautiful, and impeccably maintained. Waking up to the sounds and sight of the river is something you have to experience for yourself! If you have the opportunity to visit, do it. You won't regret it!!!!

As always, the stay was awesome (2nd visit this year) The staff was always pleasant and even gave me one of their own laundry pods from their camper to do laundry as the store was sold out. They always go above and beyond to make the experience great. See you next year!

I cannot say enough about this campground! Everything was perfect from the staff to the super clean cabin to the manicured landscaping. The folks running the show sure know what they’re doing!!! Dimitry was exceptional with his kindness and cheerfulness on every interaction. The staff was so helpful with everything. Another wonderful stay. We have visited KOA for years now and can’t imagine another place to stay for our Smoky Mtns visits. As always the staff were helpful and friendly. They will bring ice or wood to your campsite. It is run very well. Would highly recommend KOA Townsend for families wanting to make great memories!

We have always enjoyed staying here, but this time was different. The basketball goal was gone, the game room was gone, and the pool closed during a storm and never re-openad after the storm passed. The things mentioned is the main reason we always choose KOA to stay. Our kids always had something to do after they got tired of the river. For the price of a 1 night stay I was very disappointed.

We had a wonderful visit and our family enjoys it so much. We are so sad to see the rates continuing to go up. It makes us sad but we aren’t sure we can continue to stay with such high prices.

Very clean. Showers nice and private. Pool area spacious. Only one thing, We had Camping cabin #7. There is river access there. We never had any privacy. Everyone going to the river came right thru our campsite.

The lady at the front desk is extremely rude and condescending. The campground is beautiful it really is a shame she had to treat people bad on vacation.

Cades cove is a great place to go and enjoy nature at its best, pigeon forge has a lot of wonderful stores and amusement parks along the strip

This is a "Holiday" KOA so it has amenities for campers who stay away and look for entertainment. It is just outside and entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The "Little River" flows by the edge of the campground then into the National Park. some sites back up to the river. There are many trees in the campground. The bathroom and other building facilities are dated in design but clean, neat and spotless in appearance. I feel the whole campground is well maintained. I have a high-end site, $100/night but I like the space. All sites are gravel. Mine was in excellent condition. Very quiet at night. No AT&T cell service but the campground WiFi worked very well all the time.
