Paid for premium lot with a patio. Could not sit outside at anytime during our stay due to the traffic. There literally was not a 2 minute period where a vehicle or golf cart didn’t go by throwing dust all over us. Couldn’t believe that a premium lot would be right at a major traffic area. I’m not one to complain but I feel like the total bill for our stay should be refunded. We left a Day e

The facility is very nice. But need to work on M lot, as too uplevel currently. Had to move from original spot as work not work for 30ft. Even at site across, hard to level. Watched multiple RV over course of weekend. To be fair, staff worked with us to help and even offered to let us move away from that section. This was our only concern with our stay.

This is a great camping place nice neat and clean. But they hosted a wedding bash that totally was so loud that I was ready to leave but I paid my money for a nice relaxing visit. Instead it was like I was at a concert with a DJ. What was really tasteful is when the DJ started to sing along with the rap songs cussing not what I would want to hear on my camping trip.

5 stars for all the staff! However, 0 stars for our site which was unlevel to the point that the sewer connection was higher than our drain terminal. We were unable to drain tanks w/o reconnecting our truck and pulling into road to allow gravity to work. Old and in poor condition laundry machines. And unfortunately for us, it was landscaping day too which made it impossible to sit outside. Dusty.

It would have been perfect if the heat for the pool was working. The first two days of our stay the water was freezing. Otherwise it was a beautiful campground with lots to offer for the kids.

Would not stay near tent area again, the weekend we were there so 25-30 ppl in 1 tent area. To many cars and had no camping etiquette, blocking the road for extended periods, dogs not leashed and young kids driving golf carts pretty crazy. Staff were friendly and helpful, clean campground with alot of activities and wineries nearby.

Had a great time once we figured out why our electric wasn't working. Was disappointed when the after hours crew didn't call us back after 2 hrs of waiting. We eneded up going home that night but got it all worked out the next day.

great site. love the dog run site, cleanest bathrooms of any KOA I have ever visited ! did not like to 1.5 mile road approaching the campground - it needs paving.

We always enjoy our stay and this is our go to campground… but the nights this past weekend were very loud, older kids with very foul language were not shy and about yelling nasty words around kids. Water wasn’t consistent. My shower went dry once and while washing dishes we lost water as well. Paying top dollar to stay at a family campground - this was a bit disappointing.

We are repeat visitors; but we are paying 20% more for a site this year (I get that costs have increased but then the quality should be the same or better) we had a very bad site location. I paid for a playground site; located on an end that didn't have a view of the playground and there was traffic through our site. There was no water for the last 2 hours and we had difficulty tearing down.

My family and I have stayed here at the Thompson KOA several times in the past and loved it however, this trip was the exception. It started with the site we were put in. M10. Please, fix these sites or do not sell them out any longer! I cannot tell you the stress and anger I felt having reserved this trip in March and being placed in a site that was not even remotely ideal for any sort of camping

The road to get there was horrible which I understand is out of your control. The campground was over priced camping sites we’re out of level dust from the road was terrible. I’ve stayed in quite a few different campgrounds this one has to be the worst.

Like the changes this year so far. Frequent guest. Love many of the sites, but the gravel on many, especially in the SP sites, needs to be leveled.

Loved the lake, fishing pond and huge sites! The jump pad and daily crafts were awesome. The things that weren’t so great….they let the seasonal site kids and teens run CRAZY. Young kids driving carts around at full speed, teens locking the bathroom stalls from the inside and running showers, swearing and yelling… really no staff monitoring. Pool was also freezing even tho says heated.

Everything was great with the exception of a couple things. Very dusty!! You need new stone on the roads or something to keep the dust down. Staff drives around too fast on their golf carts.

The Dust is atrocious. Won’t be coming back until we know this has been rectified. Even the staff were speeding around on there golf carts creating dust. It’s sad. The place is nice.

Water pressure was very inconsistent. Throughout the weekend we could not wash hands or wash dishes. If we can not use our bathroom without water, the bathroom closest was closed. Teen kids in golf carts are dangerous. As we weee leaving a cart with 4 teen boys literally cut off our truck hauling the trailer. Dust flying everywhere. We were put very close to another camper, so close that our patio cover could touch his camper. His black line was hooked up and opened where our table and fire ring were so we were forced to move everything to the entrance of our drive. Asking for a different site did not get us anywhere but was told it could be worse! The camper on the backside of ours had plenty of room to use, all other sites

My assigned site (A7) was very sloped for a larger camper. Hersch found us another site A11 (I offered to pay more if needed.) This site also had a drop off from the camper steps down a hill. The wife and children were TUMBLED down the hill during because of the drop off. THERE WERE 8 UNUSED 8 SITES THAT WERE LEVEL MY WHOLE VISIT. I recommend site improvements/assigning level sites when available

Very nice park. We got in late and was on a deadline, so only stayed one night. The site we were at was a pull thru with a raised covered patio and table/chairs. They had some sites with a loft on top for seating and picnic table covered. First time I saw that. Not sure on kids activities due to us arriving late but I'm guessing that there's plenty including fishing and swimming.

We found the staff to be accomodating, friendly and professional. The roads throughout the grounds were not in good condition needing some new gravel, causing our vehicle and camper to become very dusty. Other than that, our stay was very nice.

The staff and campground are great, but a couple of minor things: 1) The big slide at the playground was not safe. Only 2 bolts holding it to the framing. 2) The ice cream cones I purchased: they were not ice cream. We put them in our freezer until we got home. When I opened one, it looked like stretched rubber. The cone itself tasted like cardboard. I ended up throwing them all away.

We loved it, beautiful campground. The one thing we didn’t like was it was very dusty. Dirt roads all throughout, maybe have a water truck go through occasionally to keep dust down . Staff very friendly, will come back again.

One of our favorite campgrounds to stay at. It is easy to get to, sites are large and everyone is always very friendly. We always look forward to staying here when we are traveling through Ohio.

It was a nice place, just wished our site was little more level. We were 6 inches off on one side. Our tires came off the ground even with risers and then had to place an additional amount of risers to support.

We had a great experience here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Park is laid out nice. Felt like we had plenty of room on our site unlike some other KOAs where you feel like you are right on top of your neighbors. We will definitely be back again.

To be clear, this is a KOA, not a hotel. When I rate the rooms here, I refer to the sites. I have NOT stayed in their cabins. This KOA is under new ownership this year and so far it seems great. We camped here a few times last year as weekend visitors. The sites are nice, well-maintained, and reasonably private for a KOA. This year, we have returned as “permanent” campers at a dedicated site. Having camped at dozens of other places over the last several years, we did not choose this KOA as a permanent location without considerable research and discussion. The staff is immediately helpful upon arrival and keeps up a high standard of service over the entire stay. They are friendly and knowledgeable. The camp store is nicely stocked and maintained as are the amenities such as the heated pool, the swimming pond, and fishing pond. The camp site we have is nice and level enough that I was easily able to level my RV in all directions pretty quickly. We have a nice fire pit and plenty of space for my family and dogs. We are close to the nice showers and bathrooms. Though we will not likely use them often, it is nice that they are clean and available. The water, power, and sewer hookups are in good shape and I have no concerns about them. As for location, this campground seems to be pretty quiet and amongst a very wooded area. There is a small amount of gravel road leading up to the campground regardless of the direction you come in, but the road seems to be very well-maintained and has caused us no concerns so far. We like that it is isolated, but other needs are close enough if we want them. Within a few minutes, you can get to a hardware store, many food options, and other needs likely to arise when camping…especially wineries/distilleries. Lots of wineries and such are very close. Overall, this is a great KOA to visit or stay a season. I hope you and your guests are able to enjoy this area and this campground is a great place to start!

So we went Off season to visit for a night with the dog and the baby. The site was well maintained, clean and off city. The new owners were super Friendly new. We had a nice cosy and Quiet night. Just what we needed. Grocery stores and all needs are within 15 minutes from site.

Although we only stayed one night it was very relaxing. We were traveling with 3 dogs and got a site that had a dog pen. It was lovely walking around early in the morning. They have a fantastic gift shop too! I'm going back for sure
