First went there for use of pool and it was down all but one day. Second site was so out of level I didn't have enough leveling blocks to level up. If I would known pool was down I would have went somewhere else. Should have got a price break on it because no pool. Staff was friendly and nice. Have went there several years but may not go again. Years past I would gave it a 5 star .

A disappointing KOA experience. Staff misrepresented the sites available in spite of several phone calls and inquires. Site was barely inhabitable and located in the "trailer park" section. Our escort tried his best in unfortunate circumstances. The "1" rating is simply for a nice pond setting to walk around. Amenities were way to far to access from the site without a golf cart.

We were put in site A5 which is extremely unlevel. Electric box was located in the center back of the site which limited possible positions. We tried an extension cord for 112V which didn't work so we were restricted by this. Office was closed, site host did not answer. At this point we just wanted a parking place to stay in. For $81 this site was terrible. Our neighbor campers felt the same

Great bathrooms, friendly staff and fellow campers. Lake looked like it was a blast for kids! Was disappointed to arrive to find the pool was closed though. Enjoyed the panncake breakfast and weekend activities. Good location close to Cleveland, wineries, and the National Park.

It is unfortunate that the pizza is no longer available and the pool was closed. The manager also promised that the road dust issue would be resolved, and it wasn't.! It wasn't as bad previously as this trip. I'm not sure we can continue to tolerate the lack of concern for this issue. Why aren't the speed limits enforced? Even the employees are racing past the site.

This KOA is a beautiful campground with nice bathroom facilities. My 3 star rating is due to the fact that the rates are higher than most similar KOA's, and we had no pool access, which was a key factor in choosing this campground. We were also put off by the local fire department performing practice exercises in the fishing lake, while we were trying to have a relaxing quiet evening of fishing.

Overall very nice, though it was a short stay. One negative thing was the long gravel and dirt road to get to the campground.

The grounds and our campsite was very clean as were the restrooms. The crews were always out working and keeping the place up. After a heavy rain they graded the gravel roads to smooth them out. Only disappointment was that the pool was closed for our visit. We will be back again.

Electric was 50 feet away from the other hookups making it impossible to plug in. Front office not helpful re: electric issue (only offered for us to spend more money to fix the problem). Site was incredibly unlevel so we weren’t able to level front to back. All mens toilets clogged in bathhouse Monday morning. A few laundry machines out of order. Very disappointing experience.

GREAT place to bring the kids!!! Fun activities, lots to do.Easy access to downtown Cleveland. Shout out to Chrissy and the crew - BEST KOA staff ever. In our travels across the states we have not met a better group of people. They made the the 4th of July a fantastic celebration. The only improvement I would suggest is improved signage off the highway. Thanks for a memorable stay.

Worst roads I have ever seen in a campground. Way too many unsupervised children. On the plus side Staff was very nice and keeps park clean.

The campground was very large. The office staff greeted us and checked us in promptly. One thing about the campground is that it is more than half composed of seasonals. There was a Christmas in July celebrations all weekend long. Although we could have participated it was clearly meant for the seasonals. Suggestions would be to rehab the bath house! Fix the pool would be the other suggestion.

The primary reason we chose this campground was because the pool. We checked in on Friday July 21st and there was no mention that the pool was closed. We were disappointed however we figured it'd be open the following day. Saturday the pool was still closed. We had 2 very upset children. In addition the site we were assigned was very sloped/uneven terrain. Not a pleasant experience. Friendly staff

Very friendly staff, everyone went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Campsites clean, well maintained - beautifully landscaped. LOVED the private gated doggy pen with our site.

We have stayed with you in the years past, bringing our grandkids. But we probably wont be coming back. The campground maintenance was not as good as it has been, roads were rough for the kids to bike on. We come because the kids love the pool. For this trip, the pool was closed. We used the swim pond. No effort from the staff for any consideration for the pool being closed.

Extremely pleased , there is so much to do. Campground is well maintained and the staff are very friendly and very helpful. The only thing we didnt like was paying 35.00 to guarantee our site. I feel once you select and pay for your site your site should be locked in. We will be back and higly recomend Thopson/Grand River Valley KOA'

Excellent staff. Very responsive and attentive. I had a mechanical issue on day of departure, they extended my checkout time no questions asked and assisted in getting a resolution for the problem. They take pride in their campground and it showed. I will definitely be back.

Things have changed for sure. No life vests at the pond anymore. Sites are overgrown with weeds. Water quality not the same either. Much more dirt and iron taste in the water. This was my second visit this year.

Great place to stay and so much to do! Only complaint would be not having our sites even remotely close to the 4 other families we were camping with. We were all spread out and on other ends of the campground.

When we arrived at 7:00 pm, we found that our campsite, M4, was too sloped to open up our trailer. We intended on sleeping in our car. However, we called the emergency number and Kaye and Dave came to our rescue. They were especially kind and helpful. They gave us the key to Cabin 3 and provided bedding and towels. On top of all of that, they provided us with a full refund. Such good people!!

I really liked this campground, however we paid for full hook and our electric box didn’t work the whole time @ site M1, we did let a worker know who told us she would have maintenance fix it. However nobody came out. We were there Thursday - Sunday with no electric.

Rocks are bad. Too many different sizes and hard to walk on. Bathrooms: dark, broken sinks, kind of smelly, small.

The campground is very nice. Our site was what we expected and great for our RV and towing. However, the map to find the site was confusing. We have stayed at this campground several times and will continue to visit in the future.

Very much a family campground. It’s made for kids, lots for them to do; however, it’s not great for couples wantyto relax. Golf carts everywhere! The site we were given was awful. It was so uneven we couyeven drain our sewage properly. The sites were like an afterthought, very close together, no views. Will not come back to this KOA.

Great stay! The kids had a great time with the inflatables in the swimming pond. The grounds were kept clean and the restrooms as well. Sad that due to a dry spring/summer, not all the bathrooms and showers were working. It was a hike to get to either of the open buildings from our site.

The inflated obstacle course was a huge hit, the family loved it. The stocked pond was great, kids had a blast. Wish I was staying for my than one day. Only improvement would be the sewer hookups, we had 3 at our site, and they were all taller than my pipe. Maybe trim them down a little.

The Space #3 we had, including the ones #2-5, appears gravel dumped in center of space but never spread out to make a level parking space. It took us about 1/2 hour to continue stacking planks for out Coach levelers to level our rig.

To be clear, this is a KOA, not a hotel. When I rate the rooms here, I refer to the sites. I have NOT stayed in their cabins. This KOA is under new ownership this year and so far it seems great. We camped here a few times last year as weekend visitors. The sites are nice, well-maintained, and reasonably private for a KOA. This year, we have returned as “permanent” campers at a dedicated site. Having camped at dozens of other places over the last several years, we did not choose this KOA as a permanent location without considerable research and discussion. The staff is immediately helpful upon arrival and keeps up a high standard of service over the entire stay. They are friendly and knowledgeable. The camp store is nicely stocked and maintained as are the amenities such as the heated pool, the swimming pond, and fishing pond. The camp site we have is nice and level enough that I was easily able to level my RV in all directions pretty quickly. We have a nice fire pit and plenty of space for my family and dogs. We are close to the nice showers and bathrooms. Though we will not likely use them often, it is nice that they are clean and available. The water, power, and sewer hookups are in good shape and I have no concerns about them. As for location, this campground seems to be pretty quiet and amongst a very wooded area. There is a small amount of gravel road leading up to the campground regardless of the direction you come in, but the road seems to be very well-maintained and has caused us no concerns so far. We like that it is isolated, but other needs are close enough if we want them. Within a few minutes, you can get to a hardware store, many food options, and other needs likely to arise when camping…especially wineries/distilleries. Lots of wineries and such are very close. Overall, this is a great KOA to visit or stay a season. I hope you and your guests are able to enjoy this area and this campground is a great place to start!

So we went Off season to visit for a night with the dog and the baby. The site was well maintained, clean and off city. The new owners were super Friendly new. We had a nice cosy and Quiet night. Just what we needed. Grocery stores and all needs are within 15 minutes from site.

Although we only stayed one night it was very relaxing. We were traveling with 3 dogs and got a site that had a dog pen. It was lovely walking around early in the morning. They have a fantastic gift shop too! I'm going back for sure
