I've been coming to this KOA for at least 5 yrs now. I always love staying here. It is getting a bit pricey to do so though.

Great place, nice amenities, and a cool layout for a campground. Staff was great and maintenance was awesome (lady ran over the water line, they had it working again in 10 minutes). Our site along the woods was the only gripe, they used to be permanent sites and could definitely be more level. We had a difficult time setting up and leveling, but most sites seem pretty level. Overall 8/10

Only thing about this KOA is 1.2 miles before it the road is gravel. If the city could pave that it would make it much nicer. Not the parks fault at all. And we really enjoyed our time here and will be bringing friends back to enjoy as well

We tried the site with a paw pen this time and don't normally do that because of the cost. It was nice to have the paw pen but I wish it was a site at the back of the park down by T row because camping in SP1 means you get the noise from the main road in and also from ledge road. We always enjoy this Koa! Our kids have so much to do whenwe come. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. We weren't very happy with our site, it was very unlevel, and had alot of road noise. But that wont stop us from coming back, we will just request differently.

My family & I stayed in one of the campsites with the sun deck… we loved it! The employees are so wonderful! We’ll be back again in September… can’t wait!

The staff were super friendly and willing to help anyway possible to make your stay enjoyable. Our tent site was huge compared to tent sites we have stayed in at other campgrounds. My only recommendation would be to switch the mulch that is on the sites to rock as it rained prior to our visit and while there we had a pool of water as well the mulch was like a sponge the entire stay. Amazing time!!

Our favorite stopover on a frequent route to Boston from St Louis. Very accommodating staff on this trip. Our initially assigned site was a bit hilly and unlevel for our low clearance van. Fortunately staff was still on sit cater usual business hours and relocated us to a much more satisfactory sit at no additional charge.

Amazing place to stay. Our whole family enjoyed fishing and the beach. We had a bonfire and the weather was perfect! Definitely will stay longer the next time.

We had a lovely time at Thomspon KOA. It was our first time there and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. There was so much for the kids to do and we loved all the family friendly events they offered. The grounds were clean, we felt safe and loved the fun, family vibe. We will definitely return!

Had a wonderful time. First time at a KOA only thing was gravel very unlevel. Little difficult setting up. Loved the place for dogs to play. You should possibly put gravel at the entrance to help with the mud from rain. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Only there a short time, without grandkids. They would have loved the swimming pond and jump area. Very clean, well maintained. Impressed!

We have stayed there several times now and the last two years I have seen a decline happen. On our most recent stay the pool was shut down for the entire day. The key on my golf cart broke and the did not have a spare so they gave me a replacement. The replacement moved way to slow and had a rattle loud enough to give me a headache. My dog escaped he dog park and it took me a 1/2 hour to catch him

Thompson/Grand River Valley KOA is a great campground with lots to do for both kids and adults. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The escort to our site was a plus. I would highly recommend the short drive to Geneva on the Lake. I would have given 5 stars however, site A19 needs a lot of help with leveling the ground. I will go back to this KOA and definitely chose another site.

Very friendly staff. Facilities were clean and in good condition. Bathrooms were a bit messy, but it was also very busy with a lot of kids so I don't blame the staff. Overall very happy and would return again.

We were headed to Sturgis . we were planning on going further but rain in New York changed our plans . I opened my KOA book , hoping for a site for me and the other motorhome with me . We both reserved a site and enjoyed our short stay . Great staff, very helpful

Campground is secluded, several miles from I-90, so no highway traffic noise. Campers seemed to abide by the quiet hours. Very nice pool. We don't have kids, but there are a ton of activities to keep the kids occupied. The store in the office is very nice, well-stocked with just about anything you might need. We didn't use the shower houses, but our friends did and said they were very nice.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms and grounds were kept very clean. Love the trash pick up in the morning. The only problem I had was the slope on my site made it difficult to get the sewage to go into the direct hookup. Not sure if the tank was totally emptied because it really smelled when I got home. Seems like the openings should be flush with the ground at M10. Thanks

We had a great time at the KOA. The programs were happen. The staff was amazing and the dude on the golf cart with the ponytail was very helpful. The ladies in the camp store were awesome. Also. I already made reservations for next year

Other than the rain and some of the activities having to be cancelled, it was great. Next time we will probably rent a cabin instead, but the whole family had a blast.

Stayed in the back T06. The site flooded so bad it was horrible. No rules for golf carts. Underage kids driving around all night. No one in office to file complaint. Parents having kids on golf carts dragging feet on ground while moving. No access to life jackets for pond.

We again really enjoyed our stay, especially the swimming lake and inflatables. Overall we really like the campground, our one complaint is the some of the sites could use some work.

The staff at Thompson is fantastic. They are very helpful and pleasant. I did have a couple issues with the camp sight. The drainage was not good, and I had to brace and level the MH twice due to the jacks sinking. The sewer drain cap is a little high and could be cut down a little for better drainage when dumping, but we did fine. Constantly improving and getting better. Great job staff and crew.

The only problem we had was that our campsite flooded. I don’t know if you can put drains in but it was better bad. We stayed at Thompson/Grand Valley river KOA in Ohio. Other then that everything was wonderful. Will definitely be back soon!

We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins. This is our third year staying in the same cabin. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. My only suggestion is inside table was pretty beat up and needs replaced. Thanks for allowing pets in the cabins. It was a plus to have our dog with us. The campground is clean except for the dust from the gravel road. We have already booked for next year.

We only had 1 spoon in our cabin for 6 people. Bring back dog beach and the paddle boards and kayaks. One of the best parts of coming here - and this is our 5th summer here, was swimming with our dog and taking around the lake on a paddle board or kayak. I think he loves it even more then our kids. They stay off the beach and away from the swimmers and inflatables. They have the best time!

The campground amenities are excellent. The farmhouse cabin is beautiful. On the downside it sleeps 6 but only had dinner service for 4. There was only 1 pan and we were not informed we needed special cookware as it was an induction cooktop. Also no instructions for the convection oven. (If you've never used one you don't know) Also no table inside although we were informed it was ordered.

The entrance to the KOA is from a dusty dirt road. Our clean RV was filthy by the time we left & got on hard roads. Way too many golf carts running far too fast at all times. Our site was unlevel to the point both our back wheels were off the ground.

Nice Campground, clean and well kept amenities, spacious sites. The only negatives are some of sites are extremely unlevel. We had a bit of difficulty backing in our fifth-wheel uphill onto the site. Also not a fan of the bumpy dirt road leading to KOA Campground.

We loved everything! The cabin was nice and we had everything we needed. The website descriptions are a tad off and the bunk beds in the cabin could use vacuuming. They were full of crumbs.

Wonderful stay...beautiful park. I would really like if you made the main bathhouse toilet stalls larger (deeper)...too hard to move around without bumping your head on the stall door.

Very large with a beautiful lake. Recommend that everyone gets escorted to your site. Some dead end roads require backing out.

I am a solo camper. I was put in a site across from a playground, and between 2 families with multiple screaming kids/babies. Babies woke up and screamed consistently in the middle of the night. There were open tent sites away from the playground and the families. I could have been placed in a quieter spot/ solo adults don’t want to be by kids. Garbage and cig butts all over my site/dirty bathro

Surprised at how old and run down the property was. Amenities were tired, landscape overgrown and campground appeared to be mostly "seasonal" campers. One shower house out of use (looked abandoned). Roads within campground were filled with potholes and road leading to campground was gravel. For the amount I was charged for one night I expected much much more. Pictures not accurate!

Loved, loved, loved the aesthetics of the campground and the pool was nice although slightly cloudy. I didn't get a chance to swim in the pond out to the inflatables due to rain but it looked awesome! the bathhouses were very clean and nice and he store had a nice selection of necessities. The campground layout was a little confusing as we stayed in the Holler section.

To be clear, this is a KOA, not a hotel. When I rate the rooms here, I refer to the sites. I have NOT stayed in their cabins. This KOA is under new ownership this year and so far it seems great. We camped here a few times last year as weekend visitors. The sites are nice, well-maintained, and reasonably private for a KOA. This year, we have returned as “permanent” campers at a dedicated site. Having camped at dozens of other places over the last several years, we did not choose this KOA as a permanent location without considerable research and discussion. The staff is immediately helpful upon arrival and keeps up a high standard of service over the entire stay. They are friendly and knowledgeable. The camp store is nicely stocked and maintained as are the amenities such as the heated pool, the swimming pond, and fishing pond. The camp site we have is nice and level enough that I was easily able to level my RV in all directions pretty quickly. We have a nice fire pit and plenty of space for my family and dogs. We are close to the nice showers and bathrooms. Though we will not likely use them often, it is nice that they are clean and available. The water, power, and sewer hookups are in good shape and I have no concerns about them. As for location, this campground seems to be pretty quiet and amongst a very wooded area. There is a small amount of gravel road leading up to the campground regardless of the direction you come in, but the road seems to be very well-maintained and has caused us no concerns so far. We like that it is isolated, but other needs are close enough if we want them. Within a few minutes, you can get to a hardware store, many food options, and other needs likely to arise when camping…especially wineries/distilleries. Lots of wineries and such are very close. Overall, this is a great KOA to visit or stay a season. I hope you and your guests are able to enjoy this area and this campground is a great place to start!

So we went Off season to visit for a night with the dog and the baby. The site was well maintained, clean and off city. The new owners were super Friendly new. We had a nice cosy and Quiet night. Just what we needed. Grocery stores and all needs are within 15 minutes from site.

Although we only stayed one night it was very relaxing. We were traveling with 3 dogs and got a site that had a dog pen. It was lovely walking around early in the morning. They have a fantastic gift shop too! I'm going back for sure
