Pickers are taken out by wagon to prime picking locations, and it’s an outing enjoyed by people far and wide. Got caught in some rain? We have the award-winning Sturgeon Falls recreational complex, with an indoor pool that's out of this world.
If your looking to go for an ATV ride or to join in a local poker run, Sturgeon Falls KOA is the place to be. West Nipissing is between North Bay and Sudbury, Ontario, on the North shore of Lake Nipissing. The West Nipissing ATV Club organization has many events throughout the spring, summer and fall. There are rides organized for the Family, as well as poker runs and longer runs of 100 kms long, up to Mattawa or Powassan.
Take a quck boat ride from the Sturgeon Falls KOA across to Leisure Farms. When in season you can pick or buy strawberries, raspberries, corn, fresh vegetables, or pumpkins. Leisure Farms also offers daily, fresh baked pastries such as homemade fruit pies, breads and award winning jams and jellies. September 21st, 2013 is the Pumpkin Patch Festivities!

Although the Sturgeon Falls KOA has great swimming in the Sturgeon River with a water slide, some people enjoy the in-door pool experience. Just 5 minutes from our KOA is the Community Complex which has a 25 meter indoor swimming pool, with 5 lanes, Wading pool, Whirlpool, Sauna, Aerobic Floor, Change Room Facilities, Water Slide, Elevator, Physically Challenged Changing Facilities, & Spin Studio. $3.50 per child and $4.50 per adult.

The Sturgeon River House Museum, located on the west bank of the Sturgeon River just down from the Sturgeon Falls KOA. It was established in order to promote, conserve and enhance the culture and particularly the heritage of the population of the Municipality of West Nipissing. The Museum boast four (4) kms of low impact walking trails though provincially significant wetlands. Enjoy an interpretative trek to the natural cranberry bogs and to the waterfowl lookout overlooking beautiful Lake Nipissing. Enjoy a family picnic outdoors under a party tent or in our picnic area fronting the beautiful Sturgeon River. You will find a workable Blacksmith Shop known as La Forge Charles, the Duquette Icehouse where blocks of ice are stored throughout the year and the Maison Major, our old pioneer style home. An open-air stage is available for outdoor concerts or plays.
