General Campground Information

Check-in & Check-out times

Our check-in time for RV sites is 1 PM and for accommodations is 3PM.  Check-out is 11 AM. Late check-out may be available at extra cost depending on availability.

Fire Wood

We sell fire wood at the Sturgeon Falls KOA. We do not allow wood to be brought in because of movement of dangerous insect pests that can destroy a forest. The ban applies to all firewood from any location. For example southern Ontario trees are being attacked by the Asian Long Horned Beetle and the Emerald Ash Borer. These restrictions are based on Provincial and Federal laws intended to combat the threat. DO NOT BRING FIRE WOOD FROM HOME.

Coming to visit a camper?  Just stop at the main office and sign the visitor's registration log.  The cost to visit for the day is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children.

Motor Boat Rentals

Looking to rent a motor boat to go fishing or touring?  No problem, just go to our main office and reserve the boat.  Be sure to bring your boating license if you have one.

Store Hours

During July and August the store is open 10 AM to 8:00 PM. Our store is open during the spring and fall at reduced hours.

Pontoon Boat River Tours

We offer river tours during the summer months.  Tours are scheduled during the weekends and on demand during the week if there are enough people taking the tour.  Cost is a minimum donation of $5.00 per person minimum of 6 people.   If you want a tour with just your family and friends or you only have 2 or 3 people no problem, the cost is a $50.00 donation and you have your own private tour.  .  All proceeds from these tours go to Kids Care Camps.

Our mission is to allow these amazing children to enjoy the joy, healing and freedom that comes from attending specialized summer camps where they can just be themselves. Surrounded by other kids just like them, they swim, go on hikes, sing songs and create memories that help get them through the tough times. They heal physically and emotionally, and hope flourishes.

Meet Your Hosts

The Demers Family

Real freedom lies in camping. Stay with us and enjoy the freedom!

We have worked towards building a safe, relaxing and fun atmosphere for all our guests.  As we approach 10 years of owning this KOA we are happy to announce that our son, Jesse and his wonderful partner, Stephanie, are on track to take over the KOA in 2023.  We purchased the campground in 2011 and opened in 2012 as a KOA.  Now it's time for the next generation to take it over.  Be sure to say hi to all of us when your here next time on your vacation.
We hope you enjoy our campgrounds as much as we enjoy having you!

We look forward to meeting you all and hope that you and the family will stop by and check out our camp grounds.
