Excellent campground, a lot for children to do

We got a last minute reservation and lucked out with a great site. The place is under new ownership but we couldn’t really tell. It looks like they’re in the middle of some renovations so I’m looking forward to what’s coming. Otherwise, we went over Labor Day weekend and were looking forward to some kids activities but nothing was going on except for a foam party canceled due to rain.

Campground was nice and just a little bit off the beaten path. Signage could have been a little clearer.

The narrow roads in aren’t great but once you get there the park in peaceful and clean.

We stayed for a week, three families on two campsites. The staff were all fantastic, the campground was very clean and the pool was very nice. Close to Springfield but far enough away to feel like we were remote. I would definitely go back whenever I return to Springfield.

Gorgeous park and very quiet! Great location to explore Springfield from. Huge area for kids. Don’t fool yourself… this is much more than a journey!

We have stayed there several times and all have been positive. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet time overnight. Grandkids love the bikes and playground.

Extremely clean park. Very professional staff. Extremely organized. QUIET PARK! It is a bit difficult to get to, however. FOLLOW THE SIGNS.

Our family was traveling through Springfield and stayed one night in a KOA camping cabin. The setting is lovely and we had a good experience. Many nice amenities.

This really isn’t a campground. This is a retirement community. And if you are wanting to use outside voices, Don’t waste your time here. 1030 you are expected to be silent. Some of us work and do not get to the campground until 6 or 7. And are expected to be in bed quiet by 1030. This place was not for my family.

We've stayed here every summer for the last 10 years while the state fair is going on. It has everything we need and is a nice park.

Beautiful park way off the beaten path, The sites were spacious and easy to get to. This park does not do the golf cart escort to the site but it isn't really needed. The only concern we had was heavy rain that can block the main access to the park. The owners checked and there was no flooding, so all was well for us. Lots to do for the children at this park. We had a quiet and enjoyable time here

Friendly staff, nice showers, but bad road in and entrance to laundry room needs alot of work. Game room, laundry room need remodeling. Very limited pool hours.

Quiet, clean park. A litte drive down country roads. The extra money for premium site really not worth it. Site was ready at exactly check in time. Will stay here again.

Clean restrooms and showers, clean pool, well kept camp spots, lovely, cheerful, helpful hosts. This is an improved campground, and it was already a nice place. the new managers are doing a great job!!

I realize the owners are very new and working on improving the facility. They are helpful and friendly, but one of the first things they should do is trim low hanging branches. I’m not for removing trees but we had acorn nuts falling on our roof the whole time and my 72 year old hubby had to get up there before we left to sweep them off so they would not fly off and hit our tow vehicle or any ot

We just stayed for two nights and toured the area so we weren't able to use any of the amenities because of time restraints, but what we did see seemed very well cared for.

My wife and I were traveling home and decided we needed a break. Found the Springfield KOA and there was a cabin available. The staff was extremely accommodating. Since we weren't prepared for camping we rented a deluxe cabin that had linens and a 1/2 bath. It was clean and comfortable. The staff even loaned us a styrofoam cooler. Quite night and a great break from driving.

Clean and quiet. Well set up. Playgrounds and putt putt etc for the kids. Walmart 15 minutes away. Convenience store on property.

Charming campground, Quiet day and night, for a Journey it is away from the interstate / highway noise. We stayed in our fifth wheel however there are several nice cabins and a Family sized Lodge to stay in as well as secluded tent sites in various locations. Bathrooms and Showers were always clean and stocked. The store has a wide variety of items for your camping needs. New improvements are being made all around the campground and several were in process while we were there however the staff ensured the work did not interfere with any guests or activities. There are several new Electric and Water Paved back in sites while the original sites are in a shaded section and it appears all the trees were trimmed properly to prevent from low hanging branches. We met the owners and they are super nice and treat you well as do the rest of the staff we met. One of the workers (Herman) cruised the park and was always friendly. We would stay there again.
