Our second time here. Even though we we're very sad about the tragic loss of Pier 19 and the waterfront cabins, we still had a wonderful view across the bay from the living room of the cabin and lovely walks along the Laguna Madre. Updates to the campground make it one of the franchise's neatest and cleanest. Loft cabin was spacious and clean with everything we needed. Dottie is always amazing.

We were exposed to a horrendous concert across the street on our last night. It was so bad we had to leave at 11pm and drive to Harlingen to get a hotel room just to sleep. We have never experienced a situation like that before

This KOA and location are wonderful. Brought my son when he was 6 and returned when he turned 21. Good times. We stayed in cabin and it was just right for a father & son fishing base camp. The spa/pool was great to and a great way to meet other campers. We'll be back.

Cabin doesnt have any kitchen items , sink , toaster and oven or hot plate to cook . The camping site doesnt have either a central place where the patron of a cabin ( with no kitchen facilities ) could go ( as an alternative ) and cook something as minimal as a toast . The rest of facilities were correct and well maintained .

Three months stay, Jan-April this year. Weather was cooler and cloudier on the island this year but the heated pool helped. Bath and laundry facilities were very nice as usual. We missed the gym facilities greatly and look forward to their being replaced when the new "clubhouse" is built. The availability of the boat launch is a great asset. We did have quite a few disappointments with the Cabin we stayed in. This unit needs quite a few updates to make it comfortable and enjoyable. 1. Damaged cabinet doors. 2. Bathroom faucets and showerhead need to be replaced- corroded and rusted. 3. AC unit display was damaged and hard to function. 4. Bunkbed mattresses musty and mildew 5. Need for heavier blankets 6. Toilet handle broke/stic

Nice, clean campground. Pool and hot tub were well maintained. Wish the pool was alittle more Shallow on one end for smaller kids. It was all 4 ft. Nice laundry area. It was a good stay. Kids loved how close it was to the beach and fishing. We would definitely stay again.

The cabin- 33 was not nice. There were no curtains so it was very bright at night. The floor was weak in many places plus dirty. The couch was uncomfortable and the mattress was not good. Walls were marked and dirty. It was expensive and should have been nicer.

Cabin #21 needs bathroom flooring and tlc in the rest of the bathroom. Booked to have a dog, paid extra which is ok, only to get there and have no grass on the property or near by for the dog. Good 12 minute walk to the dog walk area doesn’t work for an older dog early morning or late at night.

It was a nice stay in the cabin. Disappointed that the dishes only consisted of 4 cups with one being dirty and no silverware. The blinds were broken so had to cover with a chair and clothing. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Staff is wonderful! Very friendly and accommodating. We like the campground and liked the cabin we stayed. The only problem were cockroaches in the cabin. Noticed a few very tiny ones at the beginning but became bigger and more of them as the week went on. We did report it to management. This was the only issue (and a major one) with our stay.

The tiny house smells a little like mildew and the back door had some patch work that was questionable. the back door didn't open with easy and the bathroom window you couldn't open at all. One of the windows in the bedroom was broken also but other than these minor things. The overall stay was amazing

We have camped in our motor home numerous times and loved it. This time we had family with us so needed a cabin. We had one with water view. The view was wonderful but the cabin not so much. The pull out couch mattress was terrible and you should not be staying that it sleeps six because that mattress is not usable. We will be back but I doubt we would ever rent the cabins again.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, caring and helpful. Always ready to help. It was disappointing our cabin did not have Wifi; the Keurig did not work; the banister on the deck came apart and two of the patio chairs needed repair. The cable TV did not work correctly and it took two maintenance personnel to get it working correctly. The location was great; looking out over the bay.

We rented a cottage that we found out later was to be demolished. We weren’t told that & the accommodations were horrible.no wifi, doors didn’t close,dangerous with electrical cords running around the cottage,some shades didn’t work, parts of the fridge were missingey. We have complained to KOA & haven’t received a reply…horrible customer service. We were ripped off, didn’t get what

The cabins were great but no Wi-Fi was available which was listed as an amenity and now the cabins are being taken out for more rvs so probably won’t come there again. Kind of messy and torn up because of the deconstruction but the people were awesome! And location is great

The folks were nice, the late check in works great. The only issuer I had was the house keeping at our cabin. I discovered the morning of check out on the bed sheet under my pillow a nasty stain of what I’m not going into on this site. Very disappointed that we were not told about the Wi-Fi being down. I was told it had been down for a few weeks. guys were there still working on it. Also the website stated my nightly rate at $126.00. I was having trouble with booking online and when finally booked the price stated $140.00. I wish I had taken a picture of it as the price did change to $140.00 as I was finalizing the booking.

Our stay was pleasantly surprising. We stayed in K24. The only downside was that the floor boards were in bad shape and sticking out so that was a safety hazard. My husband is a disable veteran and almost tripped multiple times on those uneven boards. The restroom had huge red ants on the wall and inside the bath tub.

Cabin was clean and well supplied with bath towels, dishwashing detergent and bedding. I was told at the office that there was no WiFi but that was no problem. Adding the Golf Channel to the tv would be nice. We really enjoyed our stay at this KOA.

Padre KOA should be ashamed! They provided no heads up about the VERY loud construction/concrete busting ongoing M-F RIGHT next to our cabin. Couldn’t sleep, couldn’t relax on patio, truck was covered in white residue. And NO notification about having NO Wi-Fi although its still advertised on their site! After 15 yrs… we will not return. Pool way too hot/cloudy. Its all deteriorating, Sad..

Cabin 1 - Bayside K-1. Right next to demolition -not good ! Could not enjoy patio deck because of noise and dust of demolition crews & equipment. Patio sliding door needs to be replaced. My grandsons or wife could not open the sliding patio door. Toilet leaks, constantly refilling tank. Grass sticker burrs in playground. do not rent till after construction. We will visit again away from work

I rented a free-standing casita, which is (I think) the best short term rental on the Island since the windows can all be opened to catch the sea breeze, the ocean smell, and the gulls to give it the true meaning of being by the sea. The units are also air-conditioned if it is late summer however, I favor the island atmosphere delivered by the casitas for a sound sleep.
