My son and I rented a tent site. Reservation and registration was quick and the folks at the office were awesome. Dottie was the initial contact person and welcomed us with open arms. All amenities were flawless. First time KoAers and the experience will definitely make me a return customer. Thank you

Only downside of our stay was the high winds the last two days of our stay. Obviously that had nothing to do with the campground which was great.

The new sites are fantastic- everything is very well maintained. We had a great time.

Nice little KOA. Friendly staff, clean facilities and good location.

This camp host turned my busted tent camping (due to high winds) into a memorable experience. I will be back camping but only at KOA. Thanks friends.

When we first arrived we were put in a small spot (the park was full and we have a 43’ DP). A couple days later after some units left, the staff assigned us a larger sight.

Service impeccable

SPI is the nicest/best managed KOA we’ve stayed at. Staff is attentive and friendly, regularly maintaining property, from picking up random trash/debris to ensuring bathrooms are clean daily, quick to complete repairs. Nice pool and great laundry room. Two minor complaints- small building showers are small even for a petite person and one in women’s has an annoying hose that sticks out too far

Very friendly and helpful staff. Restrooms were always clean. A pet wash station is a bonus!

Site 309 was beautiful, albeit a little expensive. Will definitely be back!

This KOA is the worst I have stayed at so far! The price for a month is astronomical & the service is sub par. Garbage is left on the road for long periods of time before being picked up which attracts the birds. There are very few activities to partake in. The resort is full of Oleanders which are highly toxic. The fenced dog park is tiny with no real space for dogs to run.

Great location. Friendly staff. Campsites are a little tight. Thankfully, we had good neighbors. Lost water a couple of times, just 10-15 minutes each time! Getting a reasonable and firm rate for next year hasn’t happened yet. Isla Blanca may finish their expansion & upgrade by E/O 26. I’m not a complainer or the son of one. Dottie, in the office is nice. Adept at answering but not really answ

Staff were phenomenal, from first contact to last. Even maintenance workers very friendly. Everything super clean. Multiple fellow campers stay for weeks or months every year, I can see why.

Everyone eas so nice. They kept the grounds immaculate.

Clean facilities and great accommodations. We would have stayed an additional night if we received the typical discounted offer for an additional night.

SPI KOA is a beautiful facility! If possible, get one of the new sites on the point. They are spectacular! Except for the constant drone of distant industrial operations, SPI is a great place to visit during the winter when crowds are nonexistent. We've heard SPI KOA is a great place to witness SpaceX Starship launches.

Very clean park and friendly staff

Not much different than camping in a Walmart parking lot on black Friday. Packed in. Staff was nice. The patio sites have your neighbor's sewer connection right against your picnic table. South Padre Island in general is run down with no decent restaurants. One and done for this place.

We stayed from 12/27 until 1/3, We had a great week with pretty great weather for the end of Dec/early Jan! The clubhouse with showers/laundry/gym and fire pit area are new and great! As usual we will definitely be back!

Nice place

The sites were level, but crammed in next to your neighbor. Your neighbors sewer hose was located inches from your patio picnic table. The location of the park was an easy walking distance to the beaches and the park store had a decent inventory. Would probably be a solid 4-Star if it wasnt for the cramped sites and proximity of your neighbors sewer.

This place was amazing! Staff was spectacular, we loved being there! But for as much as we paid, we had a really weird hole in our campground that was a trip hazard and we couldn't utilize our whole tiny space. The shower room I used could also use a major drainage rehab, the whole bathroom was flooded with water. Make sure you wear shoes when you go in there. I wished I could post pics of lot 114

Very friendly staff, clean facility, and I loved the sitting area next to the dock with the fire feature. Pretty good view of the fireworks. I should have made the reservation longer, but we will be back! Very cool facility.

clean and easy to navigate. the views are amazing.

We came in a day early, called and they had a spot available for us which was very nice. The bad thing was the spot that we were going into the next day was open, it would have been nice to park in our reserved spot, rather than having to move after one night.

We loved the place. Friendly, mostly well kept. The one thing that would push this from good to great, is a constant bathroom attendant. I realize the shower rooms can be left untidy by prior persons, so a more frequent cleaning would definitely put this place in the perfect camping place.

The campground is incredible clean and the staff was overwhelmingly friendly and helpful!

We had a great time, good weather, wonderful helpful staff, our spot was great #85. Unfortunately the person who booked #86 left their dog locked inside the camper all day while they went out and it barked and whined constantly. We felt awful for that pup!. We had already been here two weeks without them and those were perfect! Pool and spa were sparkly clean and great temperatures. Thank you!

The staff there is incredible. Dotti, Dianne, and several others were outstanding! I felt welcomed and appreciated while I was there. They all helped me solve a few issues I had during my stay. Cudos and a great appreciation for everyone there, thank you.

Very pretty campsite. We got the last waterfront slot 306. Nice breeze, nice view of sunset on their rocker for two. Nice chairs to sit on. Apparently a lot of people like to fish in that side. There is a sign that they can't pass so they are not at your campsite, but they are close by. Once a family with 4 kids were loud. I was trying to enjoy the breeze and read. We had an issue that because we were a bit inclined down towards the water, our septic tubes were not angled enough. When we hooked up to leave, we moved trailer to street about 5 feet so we can do the dump. Lots of washers & dryers, small cold exercise room, I used treadmill once. They have a nice outdoor area outside of community center with a pretty gas fireplace. Pool looks nice, we didn't get in. Good Internet. They have 4 showers, with toilets. My gripe there is that there is no shade in the afternoon to wait for one to be open. At 4:30 pm, it was hot. I wouldn't mind a stand up umbrella out there. And I don't like how the shower water comes out to the toilet area. There is no shower lip and the shower curtain is short. They need a longer inside clear plastic liner maybe. Short drive to Isla Blanca Park. Cost $12 to get in. There is a nice long beach. They have a Pavilion with hot dogs, snacks & drinks. Another time we tried free Beach Access #4 because it had a restroom in the parking lot. But not much parking in these beach accesses, you have to go early. It's a 7 1/2 hr drive for us, so don't know if we'll go back, but we liked it. If we do, we might try a pull thru.

The KOA was nice whereas you are close to the beach. However, the sites are very tight. If you have a rig that is longer than 40 feet (our rig is 46 feet), avoid sites 114 to 116 (there may be more sites but these are the ones that we noticed). While they offer pull-thru ability, again, they are very tight. We were in site 116 and there is a palm tree that is growing almost sideways instead of straight up. This will pose a problem for any good size rig while pulling in. Another person had to come over and pull on the tree in order for us to pull the RV past the tree. This palm tree really needs to be cut down. Another reason parking in these particular sites are challenging is due to the amount of cars that park in the street. There are a lot of owners who will park their vehicles with half on their site and the other half hanging over in the street. This only adds to the tight feel of the park. Next time we visit, we will try the more expensive sites to see if that will be a difference. We were in one of the pull-thru sites with a patio and upgraded furniture. The price was $105 a night but the weekend is a bit more expensive and we paid $115 for Friday (we stayed from Sunday-Friday). The park offers a ton of activities, if you want to participate with any of that kind of stuff. My husband did visit the fitness center and said it was nice for what it is.
