Had a great stay Difficult finding an available bathroom near our site, can’t tell when shower/bath are occupied. Lots of heavy loud music from nearby campgrounds made it hard to sleep.

Thank you for staying with us. We will be installing 'occupied/vacant' switches on those bathhouses to help with this issue. Unfortunately, during spring break there are a few concerts at local businesses near us that we don't have control over. I do apologize for the overspill of noise to our park.

Staff is great. Good to see the same workers every winter stay. Dottie, Shannon, Steve Farrell are all great workers. Christi has a fantastic vision forward for the place. After witnessing Tom and Stacy neglect the place, then Terry Dick doing just enough to make it to retirement, it is a breath of fresh air to see someone who has energy and the drive to jump to the next level.

Great location. Sites too close together for my taste, but we did have a great site - the view out of our windshield was Space Ex across the bay. I prefer quiet - which was quiet after 10 p.m. but not before.

Great interaction with the staff and stay was great. I love the quiet time starting at 10pm allowing me to wind down and get plenty of rest. The location is convenient to everything I had planned on my vacation and wasn’t ready to leave.

Front desk, lady along with the whole staff were absolutely great, very accommodating and polite. Very down to earth and very helpful. Hospitality was second to none. The place was great. The hot tub was hot and the swimming pool was cool. Be stay there again.

Love the SPI KOA! The staff are friendly and excellent; setting is superb; weather was (mostly) wonderful (a lot like weather)! Have many friends/good neighbors there. Though we don't participate in many of the organized camp activities, enjoy ourselves immensely. Looking forward to when the infrastructure revamps and site developments reach their conclusions. Very tight spaces. All activities were confined to a large tent which had two open sides and three sides that were torn and raggedy. No heaters for the cool weather. Staff were friendly. Bathrooms dated but clean. Laundry was adequate.

If you like being packed in like sardines, have your neighbors sewer right at your picnic table, no room to use your awning, kids running around shouting at campers then this place is for you. The only saving grace is the island. This is what happens when greed takes over and they split pull through lots into 2 over priced lots.

Dottie and Donna were great. Sam and Michelle also very good. Campground under renovation always a challenge. Temporary rest rooms better than what was but will need maintaining-caulking, cleaning etc. All sites are very tight-couldn’t put my awning out if my neighbors had their window awning out. Most sites have rock base too large for comfort. Issues with people cont walking thru my site.

The chairs by the pool need to be fix. The railing going into the pool is very wobbly. The website offers water zumba and they didn't have none. That was very disappointing.

The cabin- 33 was not nice. There were no curtains so it was very bright at night. The floor was weak in many places plus dirty. The couch was uncomfortable and the mattress was not good. Walls were marked and dirty. It was expensive and should have been nicer.

Always fun..pool and hot tub could be warmer for January and February please staff is friendly..they are doing a great job cleaning up the books and crannies.See you all next year!

This is our 7th year staying at the SPI KOA. We love it and plan to be back next year. Hope to be able to get a 3rd month soon. Not as much music this year due to no common area. Hope more will be back after construction is completed and it will hopefully be free.

Very pleased with new management. She seams to have a very good idea on how the property can be changed for the better. I could see the progress week by week. I can tell you it will be much better in the future. Thank you Mike and Cherry MCcorriston lot 12.

Everyone is so very friendly. The KOA is so clean the bathrooms, pool, hot tub, laundry and grounds. This was our first time here and rebooked for 2025!!!

New management has taken over as its cleaner, more organized and now they have scheduled events daily for every age. Helpful and friendly staff- Dottie always greets you smiling. Love the palm trees on site and enjoyed the new pool area. We’ve stayed at this KOA several times- it’s a home away from home. Great views, new bathrooms/showers and new laundry rooms. Usually, I rate this KOA a solid 5: however, this year, Jan 2024, was disappointing. The commons area is torn down & not yet replaced, sense of community lost. Has a temporary tent w/table & chairs, no gym equipment. Although advertised on the website, there was no water aerobics or Zumba classes. The hot tub jets only create a slight ripple. Love this KOA, but check with them before you book!

All the activities are nice but the facility is in serious need of upgrading. Hot tub jacuzzi needs to be fixed. It working last year. We really miss the restaurant. We know it burned down but that portion of the property is a real eyesore and a hazard. This place should be a real gem of a KOA and it is not. Having said this the staff our wonderful and extremely responsive.

Cabin #21 needs bathroom flooring and tlc in the rest of the bathroom. Booked to have a dog, paid extra which is ok, only to get there and have no grass on the property or near by for the dog. Good 12 minute walk to the dog walk area doesn’t work for an older dog early morning or late at night.

We really enjoyed our stay at South Padre. The camping location is awesome, close to beaches. Service and staff have been super good and general cleanness is excellent despite the strong wind that was making the life little bit harder. Our spot was tight (like more or less all spots) but we've been lucky because for the whole stay (almost 20 days) nobody occupied the spot in front of us so we have space for the car and also free view.
