Aside from the upgrades (we knew about in advance) in action before we arrived and during our stay, it was relaxing and restful after 1200 miles of travel in our 30’ travel trailer. Staff was stellar. Very friendly, fun to chat with and always wanting to please. While our stay was hot, windy, foggy and quite humid it did not waiver from exploring the island. Margaritaville was a plus!

It was great! Just can't wait for the construction to be done. We also missed out on some great pool days but that was not the KOAs fault. Hopefully next year will be better.

Overall, this is a wonderful place. I rebooked for next year as the people are great and everyone is helpful. It was a bit of a challenge this year due to the construction. The amount of dog barking was irritating. Friends stayed in one of the cabins and the bathroom floor was rotted. It was concerning that they just put plywood over it and didn't move them to a different cabin. They won't be back

All the staff was very kind & helpful, they would go out of their way to make your stay as nice as they could make it be great. The shuttle service was wonderful to take you anywhere on the island and to Port Isabell. They keep the camp sites very clean & the bathrooms/showers as well . The pool & the hot tub are huge and maintained daily.

Lack of facilities is the problem. No commons, no gym, no community facilities or kitchen... still underconstruction, while buildingnew sites for day rental only while gettingridod monthly rentals that might be affordable to seniors... after 3 years of promises a. Meanwhile raising rates over 25%.

Wonderful location, excellent, friendly staff. Fun group activities, unfortunately there were 2 heavy rainstorms during our stay, our site was underwater for a couple of days after, and the pool was murky and unusable. We will definitely return, hopefully when the new bathroom/gym/activity room construction is finished.

I appreciate the clean bathrooms! The staff is wonderful and efficient. I really could have used that rec center though to work out when the weather was bad.

Very nice. Facilities and park were very clean. Close access to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Spots have a nice patio area and picnic table. The only drawback I can say is the spots are close together but I understand they utilized all available area for maximum use. We would visit again

3rd year staying here, nice to see that corporate is finally building some amenities, so we dont have to enjoy entertainment in a tent that blows down. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Dottie is the best, sites are tight but that goes with the territory, we stay here instead of county park because of sand burrs that get in our dogs paws, koa has none, county park is awful. Back in 26.

My husband enjoyed our second stay at SPI KOA. Folks are friendly and many improvements are being made to the campground. Looking forward to a return trip next spring to enjoy all the new improvements. Last time we visited was 2021 and SPI has added many safe bike lanes around the island. We appreciated those bike lanes and found that we hardly drove our truck while staying there. Happy Campers!!!

Our stay was great. The kitchen table legs need to be tightened maybe with just putting a toothpick in the bolt hole to have the screws have a little more to grip onto. Very clean and staff was great. Oh I do not know what we could have done differently- it was hard to get all the sand up. Would a swiffer have worked? -I have never used one. Thank you again.

Everything was great with one exception, the wifi connectivity. There were constant interruptions to wifi service. It was usable but required effort. I do want to reiterate that all the other services were delivered at high quality by cheerful staff. The park grounds, including the restrooms, were always clean. I look forward to returning at staying on one of the new capsites on the water.

Staff is amazing and super courtesy and kind. The park itself is always so tidy and clean even with construction going on. First thing in the morning staff is riding around to make sure everything is clean and ready for the day. I've had the pleasure for staying quite a few times and I will keep coming back ��

The hit water heater needed a part so it was a very loud siren when someone did the laundry and we were right by it. Wasn't pleasant to hear at midnight. Also no enforcement on the quiet hour. And kids in the hot tub or events unsupervised was not fun either.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the KOA South Padre Island RV Park. It was a very nice location and the park seemed to be very well run and organized. Lots of activities for the young campers. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Had a great time. It was a little too windy, but that’s the beach life. Can’t wait to see the new sites being built on the western side of the resort. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Love the location.

The staff is great . They were quick to address any concern we had. We lost our TV cable service and didn’t have it for most of our 3 month stay and the internet would be very poor at times. We were very disappointed the recreation building was not completed. This is the second winter without it. The staff was good about setting up a large tent to do activities. We will be back next winter.

This is a beautiful location with wonderful amenities. This camp is very well maintained with it very obvious funds are being poured back into the KOA. Being able to put trash at the edge of our site was a fantastic amenity. The pet wash was also appreciated, but would recommend adding it to a maintenance schedule or instructions for guests to clean out the basin/drain. During our use of the wash the basin had backed up with multiple inches of water due to a plethora of fur/sand. I was happy to clean it out but certainly think it needs attention. We did also find the washing machines even at half full did a somewhat poor job of actually cleaning and rinsong clothing. Dryers were great! Will absolutely stay again.

The reason I'm in South Padre is this KOA. Moved my daughter and son-in-law down to SPI because he will be working there. The grounds are well maintained, the location is excellent, and the park has great amenities. It has kayaks, peddle bikes, swimming pool, recreation center, small gym area, exceptional show areas, playground with a huge jump pad for the kids. They have multiple events throughout the week/weekend. They are adding another section of RV sites that will have excellent views of the bay and will be equipped with fire pit and seating. Nice overall atmosphere.
