We open Mother's Day weekend! This is also care Camps Weekend! Stay as a paying guest Friday, May 10, 2019 at participating KOA campgrounds and get Saturday, May 11 for only $20! And, you'll help KOA Care Camps serve children fighting cancer. Funds raised from May 11 support the KOA Care Camps Trust which distributes more than $1 million dollars annually to support more than 135 Care Camps each year. Kids activities around Mother's Day and Mom's get free pancake breakfast Sunday morning in the KOA Cafe.

Approximately 11 miles west of campground, off Route 201 North, in Skowhegan.
The Force takes Flight this weekend, you won't want to miss it! Weekend long celebration that offers hot air balloons, food and events. Based in Simard - Payne Memorial Park, Lewiston with additional food and events taking place at Festival Plaza, Auburn.
Balloon launches are typically scheduled for 6am and 6pm daily, weather permitting.
Located approx. 71 miles / 1hr-15min from the campground.

Camden is approx. 60 miles from the campground / 1 hour and 25 minute drive.
An array of Maine craft brewers, local food vendors, three live bands, guided riverfront walks, and tours of Maine Grains and Skowhegan's portion of the Langlais Art Trail will combine to make an unforgettable close to summer.
2019 will be the 46th Annual Sea Plane Fly In, located on beautiful Moosehead Lake, Greenville, Maine.
Come check out all the aircraft that make Greenville it's home for three incredible days!
Greenville is approx. 63 miles north of the campground or 1-1/2 hour drive. This makes a great day trip.

Gates open at 9:00 am each day.

The Common Ground Country Fair is delighted to be one of the most popular destinations in Maine each fall. Annually almost 60,000 visitors enjoy the Common Ground Country Fair. If you are planning on attending the Fair, we want to be sure that you have an enjoyable and healthy experience. Most of the Common Ground Country Fair is held outdoors, in the open or under cover in a tent or barn. You are sure to spend a lot of time outside and on your feet at the Fair, moving from place to place. Please wear comfortable footwear. We encourage all Fairgoers to be prepared for the elements to best enjoy a healthy and busy day at the Fair. Here are a few items we recommend that you bring to the Fair:

This is definitely not a local area attraction for us, but if you are traveling to or from our campground, try to stop and check out the Fryeburg Fair. The Largest Agricultural fair in Maine. Eight days of horse pulls, harness racing, livestock, pig scrambles, flower shows, food, competitions and much, much more!
