I am writing to respectfully request a full refund for our recent stay. Unfortunately, our family’s experience did not reflect the premium price we paid, and we left feeling very disappointed. The place is like a mini amusement park where it has a little bit of everything that makes you stay in the compound. Amenities and grounds are very well maintained and the Staff are very professional, accommodating and best of all, they were the most FRIENDLIEST staff me and my group ever dealt with in the area! Kudos to the Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay KOA! You made our stay extra special! See you!

We had an incredible stay. Rain was a little more than expected our first day but we ended up having the entire tent area to ourselves. The staff was great, pool and hot tub were clean, restrooms were cleaned and regularly maintained. The GM Andy is incredible. Stopped in personally to check on our family, and I can tell he cares very much about his KOA. We look forward to returning asap.

Lots of fun for kids and adults of all ages! We really appreciated the line up on events each day, how safe the campground is, and the opportunity to get away from it all without ever being too far from “it all”! Thanks for a great Spring Break!

Our stay was great. A ton of activities for my kids to enjoy. It was just a little crowded at times but we still had a great stay. Staff was amazing!

Fun amenities for kids. However, there was a street lamp directly over our site making sleeping in a tent very difficult.

The site is amazingly well maintained and every single staff member was joyful and friendly. We loved our time there. The kids had an absolute blast. We will definitely be back!

Staff was excellent. Unfortunately, campsite 10 has a large street light directly above it. This really shouldn't be a campsite at all.

Expectations highly exceeded. This KOA is an absolute secret National Treasure. Hospitality a 10 of 10, front desk "Kendal" a rock star. Keep it up, we will see you again soon.

We stay at this particular KOA every now and then ... I am amazed at how large this facility is and well maintained it stays throughout the year ... it's a great place to bring the kids as well... I also wanted to mention that this is the only facility that I have seen that caters to dogs... If you're ever in the area I would highly recommend staying at this facility

The Santa Cruz/ Monterey Bay KOA was such a fun stay for my family. There are many amenities such as WiFi, laundry, a heated pool open year round, bike rentals, and a park. This KOA is especially dog friendly, so our two dogs were able to join and enjoy our stay as well. We will definitely be back again!

First time to tent, Kamp at Santa Cruz KOA. The pre-communication for reservations and understanding what was provided was exceptional. On site, it was amazing to see how well the grounds were kept, and all the opportunities for Community. We will definitely go back.

We've stayed in many KOAs in CA and OR. Monterey KOA is one of my favorites. We've tent camped, brought our 28' trailer, our Class B, and have rented cabins. With the exception of Astoria, most KOAs are clean. Wearing a wristband is new and irritated my skin. I had a formal event to attend and cut it off. Also, your staff checking in could be a little more friendly. SMILE more.

The park was too geared toward children having fun and not around old time camping where people would set aside the noise and electronics and enjoy nature. if you are a family that wants your children to be entertained the whole time, then it would be a great place for them, but otherwise it’s too loud and busy for someone who wants to rest and relax in the outdoors. I appreciate the kind staff.

We had a great time, but I feel like the wristbands and requiring the name of every person on the reservation is a bit much for a camping experience. Telling people they can’t be on the property even a few minutes before check-in is ridiculous. Also telling people to leave immediately following check-out time is odd. Lovely staff and super friendly playground with activities for all ages. Bathrooms could use a little more attention—door slams, slow sink drain, and sometimes out of toilet paper. More frequent checks on busy days would make it perfect!

We brought our own tent. The site we were assigned (#8) had a broken bear box, which we were unable to open. We ended up storing our food in our car. I informed a maintenance employee about it, and she indicated that she was aware of the box, stating that this was the only box with issues. I am unsure why we were assigned a site with a broken box when other sites were available during our stay.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great activities for our grandchildren. Sites were spacious and clean. Only complaint was power and water outage Saturday and Sunday, was supposed to stay till Monday but checked out on Sunday instead. The staff was kind enough to refund us the money just kept 30$ for late check out.

Beautiful and CLEAN (immaculate really); lots for the kiddos to do. Camp-chella was great! The only bummer was the large group VSNA did not adhere to the quiet hours. They were having a great time, and I tried to focus on that rather than trying to sleep.

The bathroom cleanness need to be improved, the group partying too late, i thought the quiet time is from 10pm to 8am, but they still making noise until 11pm

The people working there are very nice and that is the only reason I might recommend to someone to stay there. The campground is fine but the restrooms are pretty gross. The smell of urine and don’t seem very clean. The shower that I used was also filthy. There was a big glop of hair and dirt in the drain. I booked two nights and only stayed one it was that gross.

Overall, our weekend stay at KOA was good — clean facilities, friendly staff, and convenient location. Loved the curbside trash pickup and it’s definitely a kid-friendly campground. But tent sites were too close, our lock box was broken with an open hole, and it’s pricey. If you’re adults looking for peace and quiet, this isn’t the spot.

I cannot recommend the Manresa KOA enough! My daughter loved it especially the pool and the train. I loved the pool and the cleanliness of the place. The train conductor Granny was super friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the size of the tables for camping were not big enough. Yall should put picnic tables there instead of the small round ones. Thanks so much ! 5 stars

Hello, enjoy staying at the KOA. Team is very courteous and very helpful. My only comment for improvement is bathhouse #1 building needed more cleaning in the men’s restroom. Everything else was great about my stay and plan on staying here in 2026.

We only stayed one night. Everything was great except the lady across the way from us kept her music playing way past 10 pm. We had to ask her to please turn it down at 11 pm.

For the camping site I was very disappointed site #7. I had to share the water faucet with the next camp. The fee was really expensive. The bathroom shower area was not clean. There were no toilet seat covers in the ladies bathroom. The women's restroom was in the shower area. Where there was no sign outside to state "Women". The area was unsafe with small children riding their bikes on the road.

Always a great place to celebrate our annual Memorial Day weekend with grandkids. There are plenty of activities for kids. If you just want to get away for a weekend or a week its a campground I will continue to go to.

Rooms? They have cabins here. And campgrounds for RVs and tents. Everything is clean and well- maintained. Service? They didn't wait on me, but they sure know how to provide a great family environment! Train rides for kids, activities, heated swimming pool, playgrounds, jumping pillows!! They do specials on the weekends for meals, but we didn't take advantage of that. Location? Closer to Santa Cruz than Monterey, but it's the bike riding accessibility that mattered most to me. Nice country road by the campground, leads into towns either direction. Took the Pacific Coast bike trail in two directions on two different days. Very nice!( I had to get used to California drivers and designated bike paths, though.) Lots of places to ride a bike from this KOA!! I'd come back to California from Pennsylvania just to stay here again. 😊
