We brought our two young Grand boys to stay for a weekend and they had SO much FuN!! Well kept, clean restrooms, clean campground, fun playground and Bouncer. They enjoyed the warm pool and they loved the 'Fun Train'. They rode it once, but the line was too long on Saturday, so they had just as much fun riding their bikes behind the train, parade style.

Facility is great, huge pool and hot tub, very clean campsites, friendly staff. Coming in on Thursday was fantastic and quiet. Friday, however, was very very loud; the kids train, the movie night at the pool, the music, too much, not to mention the other campers music everywhere (even in the showers). I can see why families like the entertainment, but for me it was too much.

Campground was fine and staff person at gate was exemplary. But I arrived an hour and a half before check-in, having gotten an early start from where I'd been before, and was told I could only be admitted by payment of an extra $20 and, furthermore, couldn't park anywhere on-site to await the 2 o'clock check-in. So I had to leave, drive away for lunch, and return at the magic hour. Maddening.

We had a great time, although we stayed during a pacific thunderstorm. The power went out; but the KOA folks were fantastic, they sent us updates from PG&E and they had golf carts running around all night making sure the sewer lines were clear and flooding did not occur. It was a crazy couple of days but the people of this KOA are top notch. We hope to stay again.... maybe with some sunshine! :)

Stayed here over the weekend in April 2026 and would not recommend staying on Friday of Saturday night. The place is packed and very loud with at night. We had a group near us that stayed up past 1:00 am both nights. That said the place is well maintained and has a lot of activities for the kids. All the amenities are nice and the WIFI was great. The store is well stocked but spendy.

Delightful campground. It was immaculate, kid friendly, dog friendly, and had wonderful trails for hiking or strolling. It is well located between Monterey and Santa Cruz, and a short distance to the beach. The staff is helpful and friendly, we felt very welcome and will most certainly return.

Very nice clean campsite, well maintained, nice sized spots, we've been to over 30 KOA's. Prices are a bit much we just come for the area and are barely at our campsite so the added fees for activities are a waste of money. We wanted to extend one more night but bc it was a Friday you wanted to double our rate and we would have had to move.

Beautiful campground with the friendliest staff we have ever encountered! We highly recommend the patio sites. They are spacious and so clean and comfortable.

Beautiful campground and so well cared for, with lots of fun things to do. We enjoyed the bocci ball court. Great areas for dogs. The staff was very kind and helpful. Site are ver clean and easily accessible. One of the best KOAs we've stayed at.

All of your staff so friendly and kind, oh, did I mention happy? I can't tell you what it means to see happy workers �. We had the best time so relaxing and the camp grounds are so clean as are the facilities. I absolutely would come back. Beyond a 10. Thanks again �ϋ�

We usually try to stay at State or County Parks and stay away from “resorts,” but this was our first time in the area and we opted for convenience. This place has SO much to do, and the kids were constantly entertained. The price is, well, ridiculous, but unlike other “resorts” I’ve been to I felt like my money actually went toward more than manicured lawns and grumpy security guards.

We did not realize all that the KOA had to offer and will likely return with our children and some friends. With as many people there were it was quite and peaceful in our area. It was extremely clean as well.

We've only stayed at around 20 KOAs yet, BUT this one is by far the best!!!! Great location, property, facility, camp store, amenities, etc.. However, we usually try and remember KOA staff members that stand out, and unfortunately we can't identify one.....because they were all EXCEPTIONAL! We didn't want to leave, we will come back soon, and thank each and every KOA staff member.

We took our 4 year old granddaughter for 4 days and had such a great time! The staff are so friendly and helpful, the bathrooms were clean, and there were tons of activities for kids. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but you definitely get what you paid for. We already have reservations for our return.

We enjoyed 3 good sites next to each other and it was easy to get to the walkways, the shop and dog park. The staff were very friendly and the park is kept clean and welcoming.

This is the best KOA we've stay with. The staff is awesome; the camp is well maintained; our kids are beyond safe playing on the campus. Thank you to everyone involved with keeping KOA Santa Cruz so "come back-able!" Only wish we have is that it was a less expensive. We'd be back more often!!

Nice place to camp. Lots of kids focused activities. The showers were not cleaned often enough and was missing some shelves in some. Close to 2 state beaches if you want to leave the campground and explore. Monterey and Santa Cruz are short drives.

Always a great place to celebrate our annual Memorial Day weekend with grandkids. There are plenty of activities for kids. If you just want to get away for a weekend or a week its a campground I will continue to go to.

Rooms? They have cabins here. And campgrounds for RVs and tents. Everything is clean and well- maintained. Service? They didn't wait on me, but they sure know how to provide a great family environment! Train rides for kids, activities, heated swimming pool, playgrounds, jumping pillows!! They do specials on the weekends for meals, but we didn't take advantage of that. Location? Closer to Santa Cruz than Monterey, but it's the bike riding accessibility that mattered most to me. Nice country road by the campground, leads into towns either direction. Took the Pacific Coast bike trail in two directions on two different days. Very nice!( I had to get used to California drivers and designated bike paths, though.) Lots of places to ride a bike from this KOA!! I'd come back to California from Pennsylvania just to stay here again. 😊
