KOA employees Alyssa and Riley were rock stars with an unruly guest who made a huge scene in the pool area. I was so impressed in how they handled it! Please update the cabins behind the pool area though. They need better maintenance. Doors and beds are loud. Air conditioning kept going out. Fourth year here with a big group over Labor Day weekend. Always a good time.

The bathrooms were not maintained the floors were wet and dirty, sometimes they ran out of seat covers. We’ve been coming here for many years now and this was the worse we’ve seen the bathrooms, dirty, disgusting. Hope you will make it better.

We have always loved our stay here with zero problems. This time however, we ran into a male employee who needs some training in guest management. He was driving a cart and while letting us know that we couldn’t be on the premises until we were checked in, he was rude and confrontational. We were waiting for an early check in. There’s a way to talk to guests and that was not it.

We really enjoyed the KOA overall, but the cabin left much to be desired. The bathroom had a terrible odor, which made our stay uncomfortable. For the high price of the cabins, we were quite disappointed. I would recommend the KOA itself, but I wouldn’t suggest paying extra for the larger or “nicer” cabins.

I booked site 196 which says it’s a 50/30amp site. This was not the case and is only for a 50amp rig. They gave us an adapter for the weekend so we didn’t have to move sites. They also charged me $40 for 4 vehicles. Both our sites had 2 vehicles each, which is free according to their terms. After showing them this, they refunded me the $40 and said they didn’t know how that happened.

The new wristband policy really complicated our stay and cost more for our group. We’d rented a cabin for 6 planning to switch local family out midpoint with family traveling over but this was not allowed so we had to rent a tent site for 2 nights.

The accommodations in general were great! Staff was friendly, cabin was clean and we enjoyed the people. I wish that the staff would have managed the parking of cars off the road, the noise and telling all guests to turn off their horns when locking their cars. Very disruptive:-(

Always friendly staff that make us feel welcomed. Everything was awesome, hated to come back home. Outdoor furniture may need some webbing, cleaned as it had webbs as well as porch railings and inddor ceilings. But overall the best KOA ever!

At this location, I paid the most I've ever paid for a cabin with no bathroom. Yet, it had no porch lightbulb, no air conditioner that worked and no chair to sit in, as other cabins typically have. The woman's bathroom was in the shower room/building with the door wide open for men to come into (one did). And the showers had no bench to put clothes. Very basics offered, outrageously priced.

The staff at KOA Santa Cruz/Monterey was super nice and helpful. The property is very clean and cared for. All the public spaces were really nice. We rented a super cabin. I felt the finishes were a bit worn inside. The outside space was excellent, but the inside had a lot of wear. The kitchen area was bare bones. Our one other issue was the light fixture right over the head of the bed.

Clean grounds, but sites are too close together and I was assigned a cabin with a parking spot that no car can fit into and was right in between two fire rings, so I had to park in the overflow parking.

Welcomed cheerfully at gate, unfortunately, excitement ended there. Check in process was very confusing and took way long than any other check in I have experienced. Extremely disappointing that we could not have 2 family members come for a few hours to visit, as guests. We suggested a different color wrist band to show they were guests. Staff everywhere all day made it very difficult to relax.

Stayed 3nights in cabin super expensive been going here over 20 years has become all about the money showed up on a Tuesday not to busy got there little before 3 grand kids cold from the beach they charged 25 dollars for early check in when place was ready and campground not full filling out these reviews are useless no one ever contacts you

Excellent. Only issue was the shower. We couldn’t find the hot water. The handle would spin all the way around and it took us 15 min just to find the heat portion of the handle to have hot water come out. Also. You are losing tons of water due to us trying to find the hot water.You didn’t have the soap bubbles for the kids to run through this year. Kids were disappointed.

Staff helpful and very responsive. Activities for weekday stays are pretty limited. Pool and hot tub arte very nice and super clean. The grounds are clean and well maintained. Drop off of supplies and pickup or trash campside is really nice. Would like to see evening family activities like outdoor movies

Nice place to camp. Lots of kids focused activities. The showers were not cleaned often enough and was missing some shelves in some. Close to 2 state beaches if you want to leave the campground and explore. Monterey and Santa Cruz are short drives.

Always a great place to celebrate our annual Memorial Day weekend with grandkids. There are plenty of activities for kids. If you just want to get away for a weekend or a week its a campground I will continue to go to.

Rooms? They have cabins here. And campgrounds for RVs and tents. Everything is clean and well- maintained. Service? They didn't wait on me, but they sure know how to provide a great family environment! Train rides for kids, activities, heated swimming pool, playgrounds, jumping pillows!! They do specials on the weekends for meals, but we didn't take advantage of that. Location? Closer to Santa Cruz than Monterey, but it's the bike riding accessibility that mattered most to me. Nice country road by the campground, leads into towns either direction. Took the Pacific Coast bike trail in two directions on two different days. Very nice!( I had to get used to California drivers and designated bike paths, though.) Lots of places to ride a bike from this KOA!! I'd come back to California from Pennsylvania just to stay here again. 😊
