My family had the greatest stay at Santa Cruz/Monterrey KOA. The Staff was great and the accommodation are awesome. We really enjoyed our time and all the activities.

Monterey Santa Cruz KOA exceeded every expectation. The front desk was incredibly welcoming, grounds were spotless, housekeeping kept everything fresh, and security made it feel safe at all hours. Every staff member goes above and beyond—this isn’t just a stay, it’s an experience. We’ll 100% be back.

This was our first visit back to this KOA in almost 2 years. The property is much cleaner and better maintained than before. Lots of upgrades have occurred and are ongoing. The staff was amazing. They were eager to assist in any way possible. They were all so joyful and it was apparent that they are happy to be working at this campground, which only added to our positive experience.

All of the KOA team members were so friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure we all had a great time. Our cabin was clean inside and out. My kids loved the blob, bounce pad, playground and pool. My only complaint was the e-bikes and e-scooters not respecting the 5 mile per hour speed limit- we were almost run over by them on more than one occasion.

Loved the glamping cabin. It was cozy and comfortable and really pleasant to stay in - like an outdoor hotel room, for those of us who like our creature comforts. :)

We had the BEST time!! The campgrounds were well maintained and the staff was friendly and welcoming! It was VERY obvious that each member of the staff LOVE what they do!! We cannot wait to book our next stay!!

It was nice but the bike hours were very limited so we didn’t get to use them and we really wanted too. Also our cabin floor was very, very dirty!!! I don’t think it gets mopped often if ever. It felt extremely uncomfortable to be barefoot.

The staff was great. But our room was messy when we got there dog food dog hair on the ground. The bunk bed room smelt like dog. The toilet was dirty. Underneath the bed an old shoe was left with dog hair everywhere. When we pulled out the bed from the couch it was wet. We did get reimbursed $105. Other than that everything was great.

It was perfect! Everything was ready for us at our cabin. The staff was kind and helpful, very hard working. The amenities are well maintained and available for use during most hours of the day so you feel you're getting access to what you paid for. We'll come back for sure.

Stay was decent, the bathrooms need work on the set up for safety of your guests. On Monday night, I was in the bathroom with my 11 year old daughter, and a male walked in the bathroom. The women’s bathroom should be on the outside, not hidden in the showers

The couch bed in our cabin #157 was broken. Our tv didn’t work well ether. We reported it to the front desk and they said they would send maintenance. I don’t think maintenance came because the bed was still broken and the TV still didn’t work. We have stayed here several times in the past and I’ve never had any problems. Everything else was wonderful. Staff was very nice.

We come here every March for my son’s birthday and everyone has a blast. We stay in the Deluxe cabin and it is comfortable and cozy. My only suggestion is stocking the kitchen with more essentials such as a cutting board, colander and more cooking utensils. However, we always rate our experience 10/10 because the entire family has an epic time here!

This place is a kid paradise! Also so clean, beautiful grounds & very friendly & accommodating staff. They go above & beyond to ensure we had a good stay & that my daughter’s birthday was special. We had such a good experience last year, we had to come back again for her birthday this year. The pool is so nice & all the extra amenities make for an effortless stay.

The have a very welcoming staff and a very clean campground. There's variety for everyone and the pool is warm!!! I love the ping pong table and jumping playground. If you want to bring at tent or glamp it, they have every option.

A great stay overall! Very quiet at night even though it was a weekend - slept very well. I arrived after dark and had some trouble finding the cabin and the path to the restroom in the dark, but after that, I knew where to go. The cabin was in great shape. Did not want to wear the wristband all the time so I did not return to the store to avoid getting in trouble for not wearing it.

We had a good time. However the bathroom was dirty and the shower had mole. So we basically didn't really used the shower. The conditioner was stucked therefore we we unable to use the conditioner as well.

4.5 Great location, great amenties, clean and organized. Only reason I wouldn't give 5 is that during my stay I was asked to move cabins for no reason. As a well paying client, it was unnessary to ask me to move to another cabin at a higher rate when there were clearly several of the same type of cabins available. Overall great stay. I simply recommend more customer centric practices.

We loved our stay in the Deluxe Cabin this February. It was close enough to the activities that we wanted to enjoy and had plenty to do on site including the heated pool!

We have been coming to the Santa Cruz KOA for 9 years now and always have a wonderful time. Even though it was raining most of our visit, my son and his friends still had a great time swimming in the rain since the pool was heated. They were even able to ride the go-carts when the rain subsided for a bit. The KOA staff was very friendly and helpful, as always.

We have been going for President's Weekend for the last few years. Last year we encountered some unpleasant staff & their unruly child. This year the staff was truly amazing. Everyone was very friendly & respectful. The camp looked very clean & well taken care of. Our trash was picked up constantly which we really appreciated. The campers were all pleasant to be around. We really enjoyed our stay!

Nice place to camp. Lots of kids focused activities. The showers were not cleaned often enough and was missing some shelves in some. Close to 2 state beaches if you want to leave the campground and explore. Monterey and Santa Cruz are short drives.

Always a great place to celebrate our annual Memorial Day weekend with grandkids. There are plenty of activities for kids. If you just want to get away for a weekend or a week its a campground I will continue to go to.

Rooms? They have cabins here. And campgrounds for RVs and tents. Everything is clean and well- maintained. Service? They didn't wait on me, but they sure know how to provide a great family environment! Train rides for kids, activities, heated swimming pool, playgrounds, jumping pillows!! They do specials on the weekends for meals, but we didn't take advantage of that. Location? Closer to Santa Cruz than Monterey, but it's the bike riding accessibility that mattered most to me. Nice country road by the campground, leads into towns either direction. Took the Pacific Coast bike trail in two directions on two different days. Very nice!( I had to get used to California drivers and designated bike paths, though.) Lots of places to ride a bike from this KOA!! I'd come back to California from Pennsylvania just to stay here again. 😊
