Person led us into park wrong direction and told me I had enough room. Which I did but a lot of people would have had a hard time. Receptacle was installed upside down. Also many large aggressive dogs. However still a great place. Just things that need some attention

It was a great campground overall. The only things that I didn't like was the amount of campfire smoke at night. We couldn't have windows open at all. Also they should keep the laundry open later or provide an access code to get in whenever. The kids loved the playground and the pool.

I feel that the rv spots are not private enough, need more bushes in between. The firewood smoke was unbearable.Smoke just penetrates your RV and you can not escape it. Extremely unhealthy. With this day and age and pollution and all the kids in this KOA having to breath it. A simple fix is have portable propane fire pits for rent ( you make more $$$$ ) Sorry, I can not recommend or revisit ...

We stayed in cabin 153 on Fri and Sat night this last weekend. On Sat there we skunks that live under the cabin scratching at the floor at 3 am in the morning keeping us awake. There's four holes in the ground/fence around the building that haven't been maintained. It was very frustrating and disruptive. We would like some type of credit off our stay. Please let me know what you can do. Thank you

Everyone in Reno, I know, loves the Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay Koa. Especially my big kid, Wife! It's a fabulous place to stay! This was the third year in a row I've stayed for Monterey Car Week.

Friendly staff, lots of kids activities, clean, well kept. 10pm quiet hour not enforced, on the weekend be prepared for noise until midnight. Bring a white noise machine.

bathroom was having bad smell. BBQ grill was not cleaned and it had leftover chicken pieces from previous stay.

Santa Cruz Monterey KOA is the best KOA we have stayed at. The KOA was extremely well maintained and there is a lot of very nice amenities. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. We are already looking forward to going back again.

Nice stay, friendly staff, lots of upgrades since last visit. Everything is clean and well tended with one exception. When I pulled in, I noticed piles of dog poop in the back of my site. I had to clean up 6-8 piles before I could safely walk around. Responsibility fall on the dog owners, because t if not, it should be cleaned up before the next occupancy. Otherwise the place is active, vibrant.

We loved our stay at KOA Santa Cruz! The camping cabins and all the facilities were clean and in great condition. The bathrooms remained clean and well-stocked throughout our entire stay. There were so many fun activities for kids and families. Overall, a great trip.

This KOA is a great place for families. We came with our grandkids and they really enjoyed the play areas and all the activities. The campground is very well maintained with adequate staffing that is proffesional and curteous.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They met all of our needs and were able to answer all of our questions. All of the facilities were clean and in good working order. It was great to take a hot shower in the morning to start the day.

This is the second time that we have stayed here and it’s a great location, very clean and the staff is super friendly. My only complaint is the early check-in charge. In all my travels never have I heard of this. If a room is ready you can get in early. By the time we were checked in we were 50 minutes early and charged for it. Better customer service would be to not have that charge. Bad start

Your staff was amazing. I came in weary and with anxiety and they could tell I was done. Giving ideas of helping my dog find the play area how close the bathrooms were etc. clean facilities etc. I really like that. Thanks. Will def be back

First ever KOA and unexpected as we last minute found this due to our planned campsite in Big Sur being affected by the Timber wildfire. I camped with my daughter (11 years old) and this was a fantastic location! I didn't know KOA was so family friendly. We stayed two nights at a tent site which was a great location and easily walkable to all the activities. We loved the heated pool and hot tub!

Cabin 231 was moderately clean upon arrival. The smell in the bathroom was that of an portapotty, I went to camp store and bought Clorox wipes and cleaned it twice but it did not help so left a message for maintenance to check it out when we left. All the surfaces needed to be wiped down. Having guest come visit is next to impossible, had to get a tent site just so family could have dinner.

You had an awesome stay. We had four little grandkids with us and we can’t buy the playground which was perfect for the kids and for us everybody’s so nice. It works at the KOA really appreciate it and we will be back. Thank you.

We had a great stay. It's unfortunate that most activities are over for the day before check in at 4pm and don't start until after 11am check out. We stayed for 2 nights so we were able to still do the activities. Our stay was great. Everyone was very friendly.

We had so much fun!!! Was a great family experience. I wish it was a bit cheaper to be inclusive of more cultures. Mostly white people. Looking forward to coming again.

Our family of 4 stayed at Santa Cruz KOA. We have two kids, it was amazing how kid friendly the environment was. It helped us parents sit back and relax to also enjoy our holiday. Anything we needed help with was perfectly resolved by the staff there. It couldn’t have been better! Will for sure be back in the future!

3rd time at this KOA and it is always been beautiful weather and perfect accommodations especially for our children. This time I was very disappointed in the staff. During our stay there was a staff member in one of the KOA golf carts that was smoking marijuana directly below the patio area where we were staying. The smoke was coming up into our campground. I did notify the front office,Get better

We absolutely love our local KOA. The staff are all very friendly, especially the manager Andy. There are so many fun activities that our toddler is never bored. We will be back soon!

THIS is how you do family camping! Five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed at the Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay KOA during our family trip down the California coast, and what a wonderful experience! Traveling with kids and a large RV can be an adventure all on its own, so finding a campground that genuinely makes families feel welcome is worth its weight in gold. From the friendly communication to the fun, family-oriented atmosphere, this KOA reminded us exactly why we love traveling this way. The Halloween activities were such a fun addition to our trip, and we appreciated the thoughtful text communication that helped us feel informed and welcome. What really makes a campground special isn't just the location or amenities. It's the people, the atmosphere, and those little details that turn an ordinary overnight stay into a family memory. We travel because we want our kids to experience new places, have adventures, and make memories together. This is exactly the kind of campground that makes those experiences enjoyable for everyone—including the parents! A big thank-you to the team for creating such a welcoming environment.
